Chapter 52: Chapter 52 – Failure Is Not An Option

Feng immediately got the task failure message. She held her chin and glanced at the lone island that was getting close. ‘Who are the ones who were supposed to be put behind bars? Wasn’t it the salvers? Then why did my task fail last time. Wait, did some important men of the slave ship escape the arrest? And why did I re-spawn before death? Is it because I reached the maximum time?’

So many questions plagued her mind. “There is only one way to know.”

“What way?” a muffled voice came from behind. Elle was taking through her kerchief with her nose crinkled up. “Doesn’t it reek here?”

“That’s sea food darling,” Feng said and jumped down the chair. She turned to the right to see lady Hiliana walking towards them. She ran to her and held her hand. “Can we ask sire Yu to come with us?”

The lady seemed surprised by my request. “If you want, we can invite him.”

Ethan and Aiden ran to her and held her hand with a pout. “Don’t like him,”

“Yeah hate him. Don’t want,”

.....

Feng pinched their cute puffed up cheeks. She knelt and leaned close to their ears. “He serves a purpose today.”

After a few minutes of conniving and kissing their cheeks they both agreed with her with a slightly sour expression. “Still only we get to hold your hand.”

“Only we get to talk to you,” Aiden echoed his brother’s words.

“Then I don’t get a chance?” lady Hiliana chuckled loudly and scuffled their curly blond hair into a bird’s nest. “Look at you both, being possessive at such a young age.”

Ethan grumblingly fixed his hair. While Aiden just held her hand with a charming smile. “We are born to charm.” he winked.

The lady pinched his cheeks and gestured for them to follow.

So they all walked over to the said sir Yu/ Yubiri’s resident.

It was a little further from their room.

‘It’s so far from our old and new room. How is it possible for him to run to us every morning, huh? This guy must have immense energy.’ Feng shook her head.

Meanwhile, an unkempt looking young man opened the door. “Who might it be? If you are here fer master, he is busy and before you say anything he is not interested in marrying your daughter neither willing to meet your nephew,” he said without letting the lady speak.

Lady Hiliana was appalled by his behaviour. “My, my, you must be getting a ton of weird callers. But sadly we have to inform that we are here for other reasons,”

“What reasons,” he blankly looked at them and yawned.

“We are here to invite mister Yu for a small trip down the town.”

“He is not willing.” the servant closed the door.

But Feng ran to him and held the door wide. “Tell him lady Hiliana is here,”

“I don’t care which lady you are but kid, you are too young to be chasing after men.” the servant did not look down rather he was yawning when she spoke.

Lady Hiliana was about to step up, but Feng herself took care of it.

Feng’s mouth dropped wide. “You! Your name is Felix, right? If you don’t call your master you will regret it,” she said huffing in rage. “I can’t belie that you would assume that a young girl of ten would be willing to chase your man who is at least fifteen summers old. Such preposterous assumption,”

“What it the ruckus,” a lazy voice whispered from inside the room.

“Master, some lady named Hiliana is here,”

“WHAT!! Invite her in you silly goose!!”

The servant gave an apologetic smile to them and opened the door. “Sorry, my master doesn’t tend to make friends,”

“hmm.” The lady glared at him slightly.

As they entered, they could see a figure rushing into one of the rooms.

“I’ll be there in a second!!” Yubiri shouted from his room.

“Take your time,” lady Hiliana said and walked regally over to the couch. She sat down straight and raised a brow at the servant.

He immediately scurried over to bring them snacks and hot tea.

Yubiri ran out the door dressed up in a black shirt and a black pants combo. His hair was fully combed back, showing his forehead. This look made him looks quiet mature. Feng nodded tin appreciation.

“Feng, you are here too. You should have told be beforehand I would have prepared much better refreshments,” he said and sat opposite them.

“No, it’s okay, the scorns are delicious,” Feng mumbled with her mouth full. Lady helped her wipe the crusts away.

Lady Hiliana finally looked his way. “I sense you must have trained a very ill-mannered servant mister Yu.”

Yubiri glanced at him questionably.

The servant started sweating.

“I’m sorry lady Hiliana, it’s just I have been receiving too many invitation from unmarried ladies and mothers seeking a marriage alliance. It really disturbs my work, so I instructed him to act that way. Please forgive his actions.” he bowed along with his servant.

“Hmm, its okay,” she whispered and continued, “we were planning on taking a trip down town. If you are willing...”

“I am willing!!! I am so willing!” he immediacy said with a serious look. “In fact, I have been working too much. I need to take a breather,” he whispered tarrying to cover up his over reacting words.

“That’s good. If you are good we shall leave in an hour.”

“Yes, I am ready!! Let’s go!!”

Walking down the ship, Feng glanced at the slave ship. ‘This time I shall not fail. Actually, I can’t afford to fail... or else... I might die for real!!’
