Chapter 51: Chapter 51 – Asking An Adult’s help
That fateful morning they did not go anywhere because of Feng’s mental breakdown. They all stayed behind in her room, taking care of her.
Feng hid her face when she finally realised how embarrassing her behaviour was. It was not the first time he died and re-spawned, but this particular death was too intense. After re-spawning, she did her best not to show her fear, but somehow she ended up breaking her emotional water tank.
Turning to the side, she glanced at Ethan who was hugging her close. To her right Aiden was sleeping, and next to him was Elle. They all decided to sleep alongside her in a way of protecting her.
‘So cute.’ Her mouth lifted in a small smile.
A mechanical voice chimed in her mind.
{‘Adventurer new task has been reissued,

Task: Put the unworthy behind bars.’}
Feng came out of her dazed state immediately. ‘So the shopping trip was related to the task, huh? Fuck this shit. I don’t feel so good.’ She held her tummy and curled up like a prawn. ‘Wait, if it’s like that first task then this scenario will keep repeating until I complete it.’
She glanced at the blank ceiling with a thoughtful expression. ‘Who might these unworthy be? Definitely they must be the traffickers. So I have to put them behind bars to succeed, huh? Looks like I need to ask lady Hiliana for her help once more,’
‘I have to solve this issue soon to protect them as well.’ she sat up slowly as not to disturb the kids. But the twins immediately woke up.
They both clung to her without a word.
“I am not going anywhere.”
They both looked up with a cute pout.
“fine I was planning on meeting lady Hiliana,” she whispered with defeated expression.
Ethan and Aiden sat up and helped her wear her coat and even brought over her shoes.
“Guys you don’t have to treat me like a glass vase,”
They both looked down.
“Look, I didn’t mean to scare you... you guys don’t have to worry so much,”
“But we do,” Ethan shouted. He lifted his face to reveal his tear-stained cheeks. “We care a lot for you. When we see you in pain it hurts here.” he gripped his chest.
Aiden nodded silently, sniffing. “So don’t be sad Feng. We will be there for you,” he cried and hugged her waist.
Ethan wiped his tears away and moved close. “Can you tell me what you were so scared of?”
She contemplated whether to tell them or not. “I’ll tell you both after I discuss it with lady Hiliana,”
“So you don’t trust us,” Ethan said with a slight frown.
“No, I don’t want you in danger. Only a grown adult like Hiliana can handle this issue,”
Both the twins had a sour look on their faces. They gripped her waist and glanced at each other. Only one thought rang in their head. {‘We have to grow up fast. I hate being a helpless kid’}
Feng went over to lady Hiliana’s study along with two tails attacked to her skirt. She gently knocked.
“Come in.” The lady said softly.
Feng walked in. The lady was sitting on her chair facing towards the window. “You better bring me valuable information.” She said threateningly.
“I do,” she whispered, dwindling with her thumb.
“Feng?” startled lady Hiliana immediately ran to her. “Why are you so cold? Look at you wearing so little,” she swiftly unraveled the scarf around her neck and bundled it up over her shoulders. She did the same for the boys as well.
Feng held her fussing hands. “Can we have a talk?”
“Yes, yes, dear anything, you can tell me anything you want.” she lifted Feng up and placed her on her comfortable chair.
Feng awkwardly glanced at the twins, who were standing near the door. “Can the twins be with me?”
Lady gestured for them to get close.
Both Ethan and Aiden tottered to her with their short legs and cling to her skirt.
“Now tell me, dear, what is it?” the lady softly whispered while caressing her head.
“Today... I got sacred... because I saw someone.. no, something familiar....” the lady eagerly watched her. “I saw the slave ship where we were contained.”
The lady’s breath hitched a moment.
The twins immediately held her hand on each side with an unknown look in their eyes.
“I saw them, that’s why I got scared and behaved in a derange manner.”
“Darling expression fear is not a bad thing. With me beside you, you can cry, laugh and even kill anyone. I will always be by your side.” The lady gently hugged her.
Feng immediately started sobbing. “it was so scary. My heart almost stopped.”
“shh, shh, I will take care of it. I will make sure you have nothing to fear.”
When Feng was not looking, the old lady’s eyes shone slightly red.
The clock rang seven.
Feng got the news that the whole trafficking gang was caught and was being apprehended by the guarding warriors of the city. So many kids were rescued and all of them were being housed in separate orphanages where the guarding warriors will track down their family.
She sighed loudly as she scooped a spoon full of hot soup. The soup that had tasted bland until now regained its taste. She smacked her mouth and ate it with relish.
‘Who would have known that even I could be fearful of something? Gosh, after that experience I am definitely never walking next to dark alleys.’ Just the thought of the incident made even her spine shiver. “But thankfully those the kids were rescued because of it,”
“Eat more.” Ethan placed another closed plate next to her.
Feng cheerfully opened it up to find different kinds of cooked sea food inside. “Oh my god.” she swiftly forked the pealed prawns and chewed on it. The sweet and savoury taste busted in her mouth. “Goodness, it so good,”
“I’ll peal the crab meat for you,” Aiden sweetly took the crab from her and skillfully separated the meat from the crab shell. “Here.” he handed her the meat on a small plate
“You should try it to,” Feng send a prawn inside his mouth and continued feeding Ethan as well.
The crab meat was sweet and tender, almost melting in her mouth.
“So good~”
The cluck rang seven thirty loudly, accompanied by a loud mechanical chime in her mind.
‘He-he, finished my task without much work, eh. And the good thing is the children got rescued.’ With a small smile Feng opened the message.
[“Adventurer, you have failed to complete your task.
Lives: (-1) remaining 1
Power: (-10) remaining 10
Health: (-15) remaining 10
Loading... re-spawning...”]
“What the !! wait.... the salvers were all captured so why....”
Before she could finish she was sent back to her save point.
