Chapter 31: Chapter 31 – Determination

These days it was like walking on eggshells. Feng vigilantly looked out with a broom in hand. This was the weapon she had requested the maids to bring in with this she had a little confidence to take down her stalker. “Clear,” she mumbled to herself.

Feng carefully leaned the broom on the corner of the door and called for the boys. They both tiredly tottered over to her, squeezing their eyes. “Ethan, are you both sick? I’ve noticed you both have been sleeping longer nowadays,” she gently touched their forehead but their temperature was normal.

Sighing, she held both their hands. “kids...”

“Names please, we are not kids Feng,” Aiden smilingly reminded.

“Fine, Ethan, Aiden, listen well to me,” she squatted down to their height. “There is a weird man that is loitering outside our room. If you see him rum as soon as you can, because he might be here to kidnap us,”

Ethan’s eyes went sharp suddenly. “Who did you meet? Did they hurt you anywhere?” she glanced at her from all sides. Only after checking her all over did his heart settle down. “Tell me what happened, Feng,”

Feng laughed awkwardly. “I just wanted to take a walk in the morning sun,”

.....

“You went out without us?!!!” Aiden exclaimed, clinging to her hand tightly. “Feng, do you know how risky that was. So early in the morning, the decks would have been deserted. How did you not think of that?!” he hugged her tightly.

“Umm...I know I was wrong,” Feng admitted immediately. “But nothing to worry about. I already attacked the stalker. Most likely he might be nursing his wounds now,” she happily said. ‘Well, that stale bread could definitely bread someone’s head. I hope he is bleeding profusely by my hit,’ she thought with a smile.

Ethan on the other hand silently glared at her. “Why did you fight him by yourself? Feng, do you even understand how much of a danger you could have been in. You were all alone with an unknown man stalking you. He could have done anything to you!!!” he shouted aloud.

“But I can deal with it though,” Feng said with her head tilted. Before Ethan and Aiden could start chiding her, she picked them up and hugged them tight. “Don’t fret so muck. I am taller and stronger than you both. It is my duty to protect you from those vile people. Besides, if I can lift you two easily, I can take down an assailant easily,” she confidently whispered.

Ethan gritted his teeth. He subtly threw his brother a look. {‘We need to get powerful soon. This girl is too reckless,’}

{‘I second that. I can’t believe she attacked this person by herself. What if that person had been a magician? She could have dies before she could even take a breath,’} Aiden angrily said to his brother. {‘Ethan didn’t you go out yesterday? Did you see anyone?’}

Ethan thought back to that night. {‘I sensed no one.’}

{‘Maybe that person might be powerful enough to hide their traces well. we need to be careful these days. Don’t be lazy and meditate. We need to manifest as soon as we can,’} Aiden hugged Feng’s delicate neck tightly. He glanced at her and whispered, “Can we not go out today?”

“Why? should we be scared of this person? No way,” Feng rejected his suggestion immediately. She jiggled them a little and let them down. “I will teach you both a lesson today. Listen well, even though we are being stalked we can’t show any weakness. A moment of weakness means that we are easy targets for them. So we have to act as normal as possible,”

She led them out with a gleeful smile. ‘Besides, how can I explain the greatness of magic without leaving our room?’ She worriedly looked at the countdown. A day had passed without her realising it. Only two days remained. ‘Goodness, I am becoming desperate,’

Along the way, she picked up Little Elle from her room. She was more than happy to come along with them. The little girl ran around pulling Feng’s hands.

But Feng bit her nails anxiously and walked without looking ahead. Suddenly she shouldered into someone forcefully and tripped down. Both Ethan and Aiden caught her hands on either side, but another hand gripped her waist and pulled her up.

“Are you hurt, miss Feng?” Yubiri worriedly whispered.

Feng immediately pushed his hands away from her waist. “I am good, sire Yu. Good day,” she bowed and walked past him.

“Wait, miss, please wait,” he ran after them.

Ethan and Aiden glared at him with no reserve.

Sensing this, Feng had a weird fear n her heart. She immediately pulled the kids behind her, hiding them with her long skirt. “Sire Yu, what might you want with me?”

“I just..... I wanted to apologize to you for my rude behaviour,” he bowed down to show his respect.

Feng’s fears grew even more. ‘What the fuck dos this magi want!!!’
