175 chapter 17On a rainy day, a small ship slowly sailed through the turbulent waves. Its sails up high, it was at its maximum speed.

Long Ki chewed on a piece of dumpling and glanced on either side. The ocean was too rough. If it continues, their ship might not be able to handle it. “Yukiya.....give me another,” he opened his mouth wide, waiting to be fed. But even after ten minutes his mouth was still empty. “wifey....I’m hungry,” he whispered pitifully.

Yukiya on his right was busily eating while playing with the little red egg. “You have hands, feed yourself,” she grumbled with a glare.

“Darling are you still angry with me? Won’t you forgive me? My hear is badly aching seeing just your frown....oh my heart bleeds,”

“Shut your mouth if you utter one more word I would rip your tongue out. Che, I don’t even wish to see your face,” She whispered while growling loudly. Feeling her emotions, the little red egg nudged her softly. “Baby, don’t grow up like your father. Be like mother okay?”

The little red egg curiously nuzzled against her.

Long ki gasped out loud. “How can you teach our child that? Baby, listen to daddy be like me okay,”

The egg curiously rolled in-between them, unable to take one side. Suddenly a huge wave rose high up slashing starboard side of the boat.

Long Ki softly hugged the egg in his embrace and pulled his wife closer. Yukiya huffed and pushed him away.

.....

“wifey, why are you still angry, didn’t I apologize?” Long ki softly whispered.

Yukiya glance back at him with her eyes narrowed. “But you don’t know what you did wrong, what’s the use in apologising for show,” she huffed softly and picked up her child.

“Wait..... Tell me.... tell me what I did wrong... all I wanted was for you both to be safe, that’s why is left you there. You are a cleaver woman, I don’t know how you still don’t understand this,” he whispered with a deep frown.

“It’s because you didn’t ask for my opinion. Ki, you didn’t. My heart knew that my son was close. If....if you had listened to me, we would not have to go through so much trouble..... and it all comes down to one fact, you don’t trust me,” she whispered. Her lisp trembled as he held back her cry of anguish.

“Trust? I trust you with my life, what else kind of trust is there,” he whispered slowly, walking close.

But she stepped back. “you.....you don’t trust my capabilities, Long Ki, even before you came into my life I had been dealing with things easily. Every struggle and hurdle I come across, I can cross it. All I want.... all I want is for you to trust me with your back,” she said and pulled him closer. “I want to fight alongside you not just watch from the sidelines. If....if worse comes and I want to die with you,”

Long ki swiftly kissed her trembling lips hard. He slowly bit into her plump bottom lips and inserted his tongue into her soft cavern. Just as she was about to lose her breath, he let go and leaned his head against her forehead, looking directly into her eyes. “Don’t say that, I don’t want you to get hurt. I don’t want you to die after me. I want you to live, even after I’m gone, I want you to live.”

“How do you expect me to do so, without my heart, how can I live,” she said with tears streaming down her face. “Long Ki I have already given my body and soul to you, so....so you better not die. Or else...I will follow you,” he threatened with a small glare.

Long Ki chuckled softly and kissed her again. Her soft petal like lips caressed his rough ones bring about an unknown pleasure. He softly growled and lifted her up by her hips. Their body connected from head to toe; even separated by a layer of clothes they could feel the heat of the other.

“Ki~ ki~ I love you,” she moaned softly, gripping onto his hair tightly.

“I love you...I love...”

“AHEM, AHEM,” someone cleared their throat loudly.

Long Ki disgruntled glared to the side to find his little brother standing there with just a cloth on his hips. “Xia Tian, you finally decided to come down....great, go below deck and have some dumpling,”

Long Aotian did not reply, rather he walked straight over to the wheel and turned the ship to the right. “the spider might have drowned now,” he whispered, gesturing to down the deck.

The little paper spider was on the edge of the ramp with its legs hanging outside.

“Shit, sorry,” Long ki ran over to the wheel and corrected the direction. “Where are Mr. Ghoul, Raijin and Felia they were in charge of the spider,” he whispered glancing around, but their figures were not in sight.

Yukiya cleared her throat and whispered, “They are below deck,”

“Oh, sorry Aotian it was my fault,” he whispered wiping his sweaty forehead.

Aotian glanced at him with a blank stare and nodded. He swiftly jumped down and was about to transform again, but Yukiya griped onto his forearm tightly.

“Eat,” she said.

He shook his head.

“I said eat, are you going to go against your mother-in-law’s orders?” she said with a threatening glare.

Aotian softy sighed. He followed her over above the control deck and sat down on the sole chair there.

“Here,” Yukiya shoved a bowl of dumplings to his arms and growled at him.

Long Aotian glanced at her and then at the bowl. “You....you are my sister-in-law first,” he grumbled and picked up one dumpling.

Listening to his words as something in her snapped, Yukiya growled at him. “ya, so you don’t want me to be your mother-in-law? Huh? Good, good, I think my son deserves better too,”

Aotian shot up from his seat and bowed down at her. “Don’t...Xia is my lover. You can’t... you shouldn’t match him with another,”

“Isn’t he your ‘LOVER’ why are you so scared of huh?” Yukiya whispered with a frown.

Aotian gulped and peered into her eyes. “Because Xia will listen to you. If you tell him to leave me, he will... I don’t want that mother-in-law,”

Yukiya shook her head and straightened him up. “Sit and eat, why are kids so stubborn nowadays. Look at you, you lost almost a pound, even your cheeks are hollowed out,” she said with a glare.

Long Ki badly wanted to correct her that he was not a kid rather he was almost three thousand years her elder, but knowing his lover’s emotions he kept silent.

Long Aotian chewed into the tasteless dumpling like a machine. His tongue had already lost taste days ago, his body was working automatically, but he could feel his energy drain out. Sighing, he swallowed loudly. ‘I hope....my baby is doing okay. Xia, just hold on, I’m coming for you,’

Distractedly, he picked up a dumpling. But it slipped through his chops sticks and fell.

He glanced at it woodenly, but all of a sudden a red ball rolled over and slightly nudged against the dumpling. He curiously picked the thing up and held it to the sun. Inside there was a small heart beating and only a red tail was visible.

The little red ball nuzzled against his palm softly. Aotian’s long-lost smile returned. His mood also was slightly elevated.

“You are raising a pet? Fishes are hard to maintain, but I will buy you a fish tank to hold it when it hatches. Oh xia also likes fishes, will you give him to me?” Aotian whispered softly caressing it.

Long Ki gasped out loud while Yukiya’s frown deepened. She swiftly plucked her child out of his hand and glared at him. “You already stole one of my sons, don’t you dare think of another,”

“I will only love Xia in my life. Besides, why would I steal a pet fish?” Aotian whispered quizzically.

Long Ki stepped closer and held his shoulder. “Xiao Tian, you better not call little red a pet one more time. Or else she might break all your bones and throw you offboard,”

“what’s wrong in calling a pet a pet?” Long Aotian said with a frown. Behind his brother, his mother-in-law was glaring at him with killing intent. ‘What is wrong with them both?’

He shrugged his hand and bit into the empty chopstick. “Don’t worry; I won’t steal your pet,”

“that’s it, I’m gonna kill him,” Yukiya charged at him but Long Ki held him back, “wifey he is going through grief mist likely he lost his brain cell alongside his lover please don’t kill him. I only have this stupid brother; if he’s dead; my mother will get very upset,”

Aotian shot up and glared at them. “What is wrong with you both? That’s just a fish egg, right? Why are you overreacting?”

“THAT IS MY CHILD!!!” Yukiya shouted aloud.

“That’s Xia?”

“No, you stupid bone head, that is my child with your brother, you niece or nephew,” she shouted and pinched his ears tightly. “don’t you dare call my child a pet again,”
