140 Chapater 140 – Annoyed by puppy love
After that day’s training, Feng was let off.
Humming softly, she exited the lab. Haily waited for her outside with a stern and stiff look on her face.
“Haily~ today I did something quite awesome. I condensed all my energy into my eyes and looked around at the time energy particles around us. It was so cool!”
Haily’s face softened up. “that sounds lovely, young lady Rofles.”
“each of those particles looked like tiny starts. they blinked, winked and floated around.” She excitedly whispered.
Feng Mei walked ahead of them both, so she was once again perplexed by the complexity of these corridors.
Thankfully Haily remembered the path out so she taught her how many rights and lefts she had to take to leave the campus.
With her help Feng was finally out and about freely roaming in the gardens of their school.
Hary had let her off early since she had achieved her goal. And to be honest, the man looked quite busy fiddling with his device. He seemed too focused while she left.

Feng sighed. ‘it’s not that great being a scientist. How does he have a social life outside of his lab...’
As she was thinking this, she heard a loud shout and cheers from the fellow students.
Curiously tugged her to go to the place where all the boisterous noise came from.
Feng reached the spot. It looked like a training ground with a huge watching station close to it. This station had hundreds of chairs occupied by young students. They all were jumping around cheering for something.
This sight alone shocked her
The children from Noble families rarely made any noise. They would act like cute little dolls following all the etiquette they were taught since young.
She did not expect them to cheer so loudly.
Feng curiously climbed into the watching station and sat on an empty chair. They were only boys around. But she could spot a few females in their crowd close to her. They all had pink faces looking down at the empty fighting area.
“its him! he’s going to be challenged.” one of the girls mumbled softly, touching her won pink cheeks.
Soon, two figures walked in
Feng was so familiar with one of them.
It was Claudius. His shoulder-length red hair was tied up behind his head in a small ponytail and his shimmering golden eyes looked like a piece of a gem as he peered at his opponent. He was only wearing a thin cotton shirt that was tied up in the front. As for the pants, he was spotted wearing his school uniform.
“oh my god, I just wish to know how he looks inside.” A young girl beside her suddenly mumbled.
Feng’s head snapped her way. The girl looked about the same age as her. ‘ten-year-olds are perverse too....’
The roaring became louder as Claudius drew his sword out of its sheath. he stood in attack position and gestured for his opponent to come at him.
His opponent didn’t wait. He jumped up and started to flash around like a marriage. With each approach would try to slash at Claudius.
the redhead was more than capable of dodging his simple maneuvers.
Claudius did not even go into offensive. He simply dodged and allowed to guy to exchange at least few moves. After that, he raised his sword and with the hilt he hit the boy’s neck, knocking him out completely. This move was so fast that no one caught on how his opponent just fainted.
The move was done so smoothly that Feng was totally stunned.
‘I knew this guy was a training maniac but I didn’t realize he would be so good. I didn’t even see him move but his opponent collapsed.... It looks like sorcery to me..’
“oh my god look at how his arms flex. He looks so good. His golden eyes are like the sun...” the same girl next to her squealed.
So did her friends close by.
Feng dully rolled her eyes and continued watching the match.
Claudius was undefeated. None of the new students were able to take him down. Even some a few years serious to them were unable to defeat Claudius in a match. The boy did not even attack anyone much but took the all out with that one move. Hilt to the neck. He KOed them all.
It was quite awesome to see.
‘I wonder will Ethan and Aiden be this good after their training?’
Ethan and Aiden were ability mages. It was not possible for them to get this powerful and skilled in physical combat but she hopes that they would gain enough strength the few years they were going to be in school.
This Claudius guy is a neutral party as of now. No one knows how he would react when he sees Claudius . He might jump ships and become our enemy.
Feng was fearful of having such a strong enemy.
‘at least the guy is dumb.. maybe we can take care of him easily.’
As she was thinking this Claudius suddenly glanced somewhere to his right. His eyes widened ever so slightly. His ears flushed as well.
Feng curiously looked at the direction he was peering at.
Turns out the annoying B Clarian had walked in with a cute white parasol talking with her friends. She casually glanced towards Claudius’s way and smiled.
The young red head looked away instantly.
Feng felt ticked. ‘its starting. that annoying romances plotlines. Fucking hell, do I have to witness all these and just sit in my spot? Why don’t I go down and give that buy a good slapping.’
Without a second thought, Feng jumped down the audience stand into the arena.
Claudius who was distracted till now, looked her way completely shocked. “You. What are you doing here?”
“What might I be doing?” she glanced at the watching stand. “Can I borrow someone’s sword? I would like to challenge mister Claudius here.”
“Here, here....” many were happy to lend her a sword.
Feng simply chose a crude-looking short sword. It had jagged edges showing that the wonder used it very roughly in things.
“What are you doing Feng? This is dangerous,”
Feng just shrugged. “Nah it’s okay. I have my guard with me. if anything went wrong, she will intervene.” She waved at Haily who stood vigilantly by the edge of the array.
“Feng.. this is not a game.” Claudius seriously peered up at her.
“And I’m not playing either. in fact, it’s you who is playing right now.” Feng gritted her teeth. ‘Are you falling in puppy love as well? I’ll beat that shit out of you right here, right now.’ She lunged at him and used all the moves lady Hiliana had taught her.
To her surprise, Claudius did not dodge, either fight back. he took all her hits, running around screaming.
“Why are you being like this? I won’t fight you.”
“oh, you must. Since I challenged you, you have to fight me, Claudius.” She whacked his butt with the blunt edge of the blade.
“Ow!” Claudius peered back with a small smile. “Why did you poke my butt?”
“Who touched your butt! I was whacking you!”
Claudius let out a loud, boisterous laugh as he ran around. “What pissed you off Feng?”
“An insect like being,” she grumbled, grabbing a hold of his back collar. She dragged him down when he least suspected it and pinned him down to the ground. “Do you know something Claudius? There are dangerous flowers in the wild that would give off beautiful scents to allure their prey. But when you get close these flowers will eat you. Be warned, this is the last time I will warn you. If you get involved with that flower, I would not be your friend, I would be your enemy.”
Claudius dazedly looked up at her. “h-huh? What flower? You like flowers?”
“Dude, were you listening! Fuck, I don’t care anymore!” she let go of his hands.
But all of a sudden, Claudius flipped her over and hovered over her. “What flower do you like? Roses?”
Feng was stunned. Till now this guy had not fought back now all of a sudden he was acting so.. so gutsy. That too they were being witnessed by at least a hundred students.
She pushed at his shoulders. “Get up you!”
“I won’t until you answer. Roses or lilies?”
“Roses! Always roses! I hate lilies! They look so pure, but they have a very bad stench to them!”
Only then did Claudius jump ff. he stood over her with a soft smile on his face and held out his hand. “I like roses too,”
disgruntled, Feng stood up, without taking his outstretched hand. ‘Why did I even jump in here? Instead of me beating this guy, I got embarrassed and humiliated by him... this is annoying.’ She picked up the sword and walked away.
The guy she borrowed it from took the sword from her delicately, casting a shy glance at her face. “Lady Rofles this small one’s name is Ryan. My father works in your mother’s diamond mine. I’ll be in your service.”
“Oh yes, thanks for lending the sword,” Feng waved and walked away.
The young lad watched her with shimmering eyes. When all of a sudden, a red figure flashed in front of him.
Claudius plucked the sword from his hand. “How much do you want for it? I’ll pay you?”
“but the sword is not for sale.....”
“How can I let you have it when you have such intent toward her? Tell me how much or ill destroy the sword this instance.’
the young lad was bullied into selling his ragged sword to Claudius.
