130 chapter 130 – contract part Feng Mei didn’t have to wait a long time before Alvin came back with those magic papers. the words had already been printed on it.
Alvin hand it to her first to get it checked.
Feng read through the papers. it was a kind of similar to the legal papers she had in her previous world. “so, I just sign here?” she pointed to the small area in the corner with her name.
“Yes, before that let him read it once too. Or it’s not legally binding,” he handed it to harry.
Harry took the contract and read it with a pout. “Gods... you guys are so mean to me,”
“We are not asking much, mister Harry. we are only asking you to sign a contract to keep the lady of our family safe,”
Sighing Harry read through the papers and signed it. “I don’t wish to hurt your family’s little lady as well....”
“We just assurance for that,” Alvin took the contact and handed it back to Feng.

“You just have to submit this to the jury to be verified. I’ll take care of that.” Alvin looked down at her with a slight frown. “Will you be okay with him alone? I’ll come and pick you up after this contract is legalized,”
“it’s fine. He is too scared to do anything to me.” Feng waved him off.
With a small frown, Alvin glanced at her before he left the door.
“How are you guys related? He called you aunt, but you look young to be his aunt, right?”
“I’m adopted by lady Hiliana.” She added with a small smile.
“ohhh I’ve heard that lady Rofles adopted a child. That must be you. Here I thought you were her granddaughter.” Harry mumbled.
“Lady Hiliana’s granddaughter, Elle has also joined this school. You will see her soon.”
“Double trouble,” Harry’s mouth twitched. “You said your uncle told you to choose me?”
“Yep,”
Harry sighed even more loudly. “I guess I owe him something now.” Suddenly he shot up and moved closer. “Have you been able to use your powers?”
Feng shrugged. “dunno,”
The previous times she had used her powers it was all using the game interface. But she was unsure if it was the game that gave her the time-freezing ability or if it was her own powers.
“I think I can check that,” harry ran around in his lab searching through all those beakers and test tubes. After a minute or so he came out with a small white crystal. “This is not testing okay, I’m just checking whether your body has been infused with the time ability or not,”
“Okay,” Feng took it from him.
The white crystal shone with a golden energy inside.
“Look at those swirls. You have definitely used it before. Maybe it could have happened without you even realizing it.”
“ohh...” Feng looked at it with interest, there was only one place that she could have possibly used it. It was when the pirates attacked their ship.
“Interesting... very interesting. You have a higher affinity to time ability than other students I have met but you aren’t the best either. I have seen a few mages who can tear through time like it was just a piece of paper. So why is it only reacting to you?” he looked at the golden liquid with a frown.
“Not sure why. Maybe I’m special,” Feng smiled up at him.
Harry did not refute her. “You might be. My little student, I’m so happy to be your mentor.” He held out his hand. “don’t worry, now that I’ve accepted you as mine, I will not wrong you. I will teach you everything I know of time ability. Are you willing to learn from me? Be warned I want total dedication.”
Feng took his hand and shook it. “I will be dedicated to my studies. I will become a powerful mage to protect my family,”
“Your family is powerful as it is,”
Feng bit her bottom lips. There was Clarina and the crown prince. They might not have any power now but if the prince wanted to, he could easily hurt her family. Now when she had an ability, she had to practice hard and get powerful.
So powerful that the even the crown prince will be scared to mess with her.

‘no, I have to get stronger than Yubiri.... have to.’
“There are dark forces in the vicinity that is trying to hurt my family. So master, teach me everything you know of. Make me a powerful mage. only you can do that,”
Harry grinned. “Good, shall we start our classes today or do you wish to start tomorrow?”
“Today if you can,”
“Awesome,” harry started to move around things to create a space for her.
To her surprise, the man was easily able to declutter the room and arrange things in a corner along with his device.
“Come here.” he beckoned her to the middle of the room.
Feng jumped off the sofa and walked over to him.
“The first thing I’m going to teach you is about absorbing time essence. Have you started to cultivate?”
“Yes, I was taught to meditate.”
“Were you able to see the particles?”
Feng nodded. She was able to see the golden specks of particles when she was concentrating but at other times, she was not able to see much.
“Good that’s a good spot to start. Close your eyes, Feng.”
Feng did so.
She felt harry placed a hand over her eyes. ”
“Now do you see the particles?”
“No,”
“This is the first task I’ll give you. I need you to be able to see the particles even with your eyes closed like this. Every breathing second you must be able to sense them. Breathe them in.”
Feng removed his hand off her eyes and looked up at him. “How can I do that?”
“Concentrate all your energy to your eyes.”
Feng closed her eyes tightly and tried as he said. But she was able to control the flow of powers in her body. “I’m finding it hard.”
“Its easy. Don’t force it. All you have to do is to just think of your time ability in your body as a golden thread. imagine of it as a thread moving through your veins all the way over to your eyes. Then imagine it as a shield covering your eyes.,”
Feng frowned. All that sounded complicated.
But as she concentrated, she was able to sense the time ability in her veins. They were scattered and moving along with the blood in her heart.
‘Now I have to imagine them as a thread.’ She concentrated hard to bring the particles altogether.
Slowly the golden shiny particles in her body formed into a small string.
“I formed them into a string!”
“Great! Now move them over to your eyes. Just follow your veins. You will be able to find the right path,”
Slowly Feng controlled the string to move up to her eyes.
It was not that easy to move it. The string was attached to her heart. She tried her best to move it little by little.
Slowly but surely, she was able to move it around an inch before exhaustion hit her like a brick.
Panting she opened her eyes. “It’s hard....”
“that’s your homework. You can go back home now. Just go home and do as I teach you,”
That’s what she did.
Feng left home after that with Alvin and the others. Elle and the boys had successfully found a mentor as well.
Even Claudius who was following them around was proudly claiming that he had found a mentor for himself.
Since he was mostly focused on swordplay and material art, he had chosen the same mentor as Alvin thus making them senior and junior.
Feng and everyone else left home right in a happy mood.
But that mood didn’t stay happy as they reached home.
Just by the gate there stood a person they didn’t want to see.
The crown prince Killian.
Duke had a cold look on his face as he got off the carriage. He gestured for the carriage to move into the mansion while he dealt with the prince.
Feng worriedly glanced at him. “Will he be okay?”
“don’t underestimate our uncle. He can handle that brat much easier than you think,” Elle whispered softly into her ear.
“you’re calling him a brat. Be careful your grandma will scold you,” Feng warned her softly.
“I also call him a brat so it’s okay. but Elle make sure not to address him that way when we are out in public,” lady Hiliana intervened.

Elle and Feng gave a small grin her way. “Okay.”
“What is going to happen to Clarina?”
“She is being held under the suspicious of attempted murder. We could easily kill her if we wanted to but my husband wants to see how the crown prince will react. To be honest I think he is just having fun with him,” lady Perlin added with a small sigh. “Your uncle might not look it but he has a very playful side,”
