Chapter 251 Snowy Floors

Yesterday, we defeated the 70th Floor Guardian in a landslide and then called it a day to rest ourselves. We expected to haul some legendary weapons like our parents', but we got a useful legendary-grade item instead. Maybe we did not reach deep enough, so no weapons for us so far.

So today, my Sister and I came back to the dungeon for some purposes, such as training our bodies, leveling up, and diving deeper to conquer more floors. But before we faced the next Guardian, we had to warm ourselves up by killing the monsters on floors 71 to 79.

Starting from the 71st Floor down to the 79th, the terrain had changed as expected, and now we were on these floors in a harsh environment. These floors were called Polar Floors. No one else in history had stepped on the floors beyond the 70th, so we were quite surprised that there were arctic regions inside a dungeon.

Just as their name implied, these floors had a sub-zero temperature and were fully covered with thick white snow. There was even snowfall in there. But in my opinion, these floors were more like taigas since there were trees all around the area.

Each of the Polar Floors had a radius of eight kilometers and was still curtained by the walls. The monsters here were obviously beings that were adapted to low temperatures, such as cold-blooded monsters or monsters covered with thick fur.

The monsters' strength ranged from Level 271 to 479, almost at the rank of S. Therefore, the monsters freely lurking on those floors were a great source of EXP for us, just like the poor monster my Sister was fighting off.

Splat.

With just a single swing of her dark blue blade, Sister cut the Drake in half from snout to tail with frightening cleanliness. The body of the wingless dragon equally split in half before falling into the snowy earth, dying the snow with its rich blood.

"Oh. I finally leveled up."

"Aw, Sis. You are wasting its precious blood." I frowned as I quickly stored the half bodies into my Inventory. "Can you be more careful next time?"

"Hmph. It's your fault for making a blade this sharp."

It had been a few hours since we started hunting down the monsters on the 79th Floor. Although it was a little over ten, both of us leveled up relatively well. Leveling up was becoming harder as we gained more after all.

"Well then, Sis." I then changed the topic. "Wanna fight the Guardian now?"

"I think I got a little stronger, so I'm in."

Since I already left a mark on the 80th Floor beforehand, I took her hand, and then I cast Warp to transport ourselves downstairs.

◆◇◆◇◆◇

Whoosh.

"Okay, the temperature here is actually lower than the floors below.".

"Yeah, sure it is."

Clad in our battle gear under our thick and warm coats, Big Sis and I were welcomed by the harsh treatment of the 80th Floor Guardian Room. If the floors above had flurries, this Guardian room definitely had a snowstorm in it, giving it zero visibility to the average person.

Just like the previous Guardian rooms, this one was open-air and had walls to surround its eight-kilometer radius. Also, I wanted to note that this room was technically a tundra due to the absence of trees.

"Hm. The Guardian has just awakened."

As soon as I finished that, the life form in the middle of the room moved and ran toward our spot. It was moving fast in spite of his massive body and being a land-based monster.

To meet up with it sooner, we started to run toward it and then finally faced the monster after a minute or two. But as we ran, immediately afterwards, a massive claw swung down to show its hostility toward the intruder, which we sensed immediately and evaded.

Crash!

A loud noise accompanied the creation of a crater on our previous spot. Once the snow was subdued, the full image of the monster was then unveiled before us in the middle of a blizzard.

"What the hell is this monster, Raphael?"

"It is my first time seeing a monster of this kind. It must be a rare monster. It says it's a monster called Beastmuth."

==========

The monster in front of us, the Beastmuth, was a kind of monster that had a height of over twenty meters. Apparently, it seemed to resemble a wolf, but its front limbs were bigger and more robust than the rear ones. And the most distinctive feature of it was that the Beastmuth had a body fully covered with purple-shaded scales.

Aside from its physical body, its defensive stats were incredibly durable as well. In addition, it had some cards up its sleeves that made it a virtually absolute fortress.

"Yo, Sis. It looks like this fella is a tough nut to crack. With this environment, defeating it by normal means would be difficult."

"So all we have to do is utilize our potential, huh?"

"Yes, we have to."

"Alright, let's do it."

Upon her signal, both of us activated the Attribute Armor and clad ourselves in purple streaks of dazzling lightning. I could do Purple Lighting now, so it was my time to show it off.

After greatly enhancing our bodies, we used Weapon Enchantment and endowed our katanas with purple lightning and fire, respectively, to do magical swordplay with every swing.

"Let's see how tough you can be, Beastmuth."

My sister told that to the jacked, purple-scaled wolf monster before we lunged forward toward it.
