“You look shocked,” said Bartos with a smile. “It’s a divine artifact. What did you expect? Or are you surprised that 1 kept my word?”
This was a divine artifact personally forged by the God of Creation. Its value was immeasurable. Bartos had snatched it away from the Red Dragon that he had killed.
Although he was hostile to the gods, the divine treasures were just tools. He was not averse to using them. He had won it fair and square.
