Chapter 248 The Wedding

Receiving her signal, the two workers simultaneously pulled the door open.
At once, everyone looked her way, including the man standing at the very front of the room in his black and white tuxedo.
Several gasps filled the room as people stared in awe at He Xinyan, who was even more gorgeous than ever. Her hair was put up into an elegant bun, and there were several diamonds embedded into her black hair, sparkling in the sunlight.
In the center, there was a tiara, elegantly resting on her head.
However, the spotlight was still on her dress. Qin Lai stood as the groomsmen, and he smiled proudly upon seeing his dress perform so amazingly.
The lights on the dress weren't turned on yet since the sun was still out, and it wouldn't be as astonishing in the sunlight.
He Xinyan smiled brightly and slowly stepped forward one foot at a time, the flowers on her dress dancing with each movement.
As she smiled, Gu Yechen also did the same. At this time, they were the two happiest people in this entire world.
Although she looked very calm as she walked slowly down the aisle with Wagner's Bridal Chorus playing by the live musicians, her palms were sweating as she grasped on tightly to the flower bouquet.
Several pairs of eyes followed her as she walked, one step at a time, towards the man that she would spend the rest of her life with.
27 steps. . . She counted.
He Xinyan came to a stop in front of Gu Yechen, turning around to face him. Xu Mengya and Wu Minger helped her arrange her long dress, and Gu Hanyu grinned as he watched his wife stand up there with his daughter-in-law.
The priest began reading off of his script, but He Xinyan couldn't hear a single word. All she could hear was a buzzing noise in her ears.
"Do you, He Xinyan, take this man to be your wedded husband?"
He Xinyan heard the priest say. Her eyes widened slightly in surprise. He had asked Gu Yechen already? She looked up to see Gu Yechen smiling at her with a sweet and gentle smile.
Without thinking, she said, "I do."
Then, they made their wedding vows. All of this time, He Xinyan's mind was blank as the only thing she could see was Gu Yechen smiling happier than she had ever seen him.
"May I have the rings, please?"
Xu Mengya carried out the two rings on a velvet pillow. Gu Yechen picked it up and gently slipped it onto He Xinyan's ring finger, the diamond sparkling under the sunlight.
Xu Mengya stared happily at the ring, and then looked up proudly at her son. Finally! Now, all she has to do is wait for her little grandchild.
He Xinyan then picked up the male ring and slipped it onto Gu Yechen's finger. She was about to let go, but Gu Yechen grabbed onto her hand, refusing to let go.
He Xinyan stared at him and tried to pull her arm away, but she only received a smile from Gu Yechen, who didn't let go.
The priest looked at them for a few seconds before he cleared his throat and continued, "By the power of your love and commitment, and the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife!"
He turned to Gu Yechen, "You may now kiss the bride!"
Without waiting for another second, Gu Yechen took a step forward and pulled He Xinyan into his embrace, bending down slightly and kissing her on the lips.
This kiss was gentle and forceful at the same time, and He Xinyan, who was already slightly out of breath, found it hard to breathe.
Qin Lai's eyes widened as he took a step forward, "The dress!"
Gu Yechen had one arm around He Xinyan's waist, and his toes had accidentally stepped onto the edge of the dress.
However, Gu Yebei immediately pulled Qin Lai back and glared at him. Qin Lai frowned before looking down to stop himself from seeing the horrendous sight again.
The guests all began clapping in excitement, and Wu Minger began crying in the back from watching the emotional scene.
Oh, how she still remembered when He Xinyan had first told her that his boyfriend was Gu Yechen! She didn't even believe her!

'So, what do you want?'
'I want you. Let's make a deal. You become my girlfriend and you can ask for anything in return.'
'Anything?' He Xinyan had repeated.
Gu Yechen had nodded his head and said, 'Anything.'
'How long would this deal last?'
'However long I feel like.'
'And. . . that is about how long?'
'Forever.'

And, forever was indeed forever. Gu Yechen has kept every promise to He Xinyan since the first time they met. And now, marriage has bound them together. . . A promise that would last forever.

Gu Yechen and He Xinyan left together, and the guests followed right after. They were going to go to the restaurant to eat.
Before eating, Gu Yechen and He Xinyan thanked the guests for coming and they had to perform their dance they had been preparing for.
He Xinyan and Gu Yechen made their way over to the middle of the large room and He Xinyan placed her hand onto his shoulder, getting ready for the music to begin.
In the room, the lights were very dim, and the room was mainly lit up by the candles on the tables.
The music began and the two of them also began dancing. At the beginning of the dance, all of the guests watched the beautiful sight without much excitement.
However, soon, the climax of the music and the dance came. He Xinyan took a step out for a turn, and as she did so, the dress suddenly lit up, from the bottom up to the top.
Everyone in the room gasped and some even stood up to make sure they weren't seeing things. The dress had lit up!
The fact that it lit up in the middle of a turn only made it more beautiful and magical.
"Wow. . ." Several people exclaimed as they watched the dance continue in awe. Standing on the side of the room, Qin Lai also smiled satisfactorily, putting away the remote he had used to light up the dress.
Xu Mengya clapped her hands together excitedly as she watched the dance, swaying her body slightly herself as she watched them.
The dance finished with the dip dance move, and He Xinyan fell back into Gu Yechen's arm. The music finished and He Xinyan was about to push herself up when Gu Yechen suddenly bent down and kissed her on the lips again.
She gasped in surprise and heard the room break into gasps, cheers, and applause.
When Gu Yechen finally let go, she helplessly hit him on the chest, "Gu Yechen!"
"Yes, Mrs. Gu?"
He Xinyan blushed and smiled as she walked off the dance floor, sitting down in her seat.
Dinner began!
After everyone had eaten dinner, the exciting wedding ceremony was finished. All of the guests boarded the cruise once again and enjoyed their last 1 hour of fun before they returned back to their normal lives.
He Xinyan and Gu Yechen also returned to their house near the beach, getting ready to spend their first night together as a married couple.

In the palace, Yi Qiansi was elegantly enjoying his dinner. His right hand held the knife and his left hand the fork as he cut the medium rare piece of steak up into five pieces.
There was suddenly a knock at the door and a man walked in with a file folder in his hands, "Master Yi, I apologize for disturbing you during your dinner."
Yi Qiansi raised one eyebrow and took a bite of the steak, "What is it?"
The man held out the file folder with both hands, bowing down slightly as he did so. Yi Qiansi put down his fork and knife, crossing them together over his plate.
He then took his time as he wiped his lips with the napkin before finally taking over the folder. He opened it and pulled out the pictures inside.
The first picture was of Gu Yechen and He Xinyan kissing under the bright sunlight inside the glass building, both with happy smiles on their faces.
A small grin appeared on Yi Qiansi's face as he took a long look at the image before flipping to the next one.
Then, it was Gu Yechen and He Xinyan dancing, then slicing the cake, pouring the wine, He Xinyan in her wedding dress, and many more of their grand wedding.
After looking at the last picture, Yi Qiansi put them all back into the folder and threw it back at the man. He then picked up his knife and fork and began eating again.
"Should I get ready?"
A menacing smile crossed Yi Qiansi's face as he used his knife to stab the meat before elegantly bringing it up to his mouth to eat.
"No, let them have their little moment. After, we can start. . ."
