Chapter 1849: Ice Skating
"Don't know." Yu Qi did not think much about the man.
"Oh... Look. Your fiance is coming to get you. I will leave first." The middle-aged woman left Yu Qi.
Yu Qi turned around and saw Long Hui walking toward her.
"Is your work done?" Yu Qi asked.
"Hmm... I am done here. Let's go for a date." Long Hui stated.
Both of them walked out of the military grounds. "So, what do you want to do for today's date?" Long Hui asked.
"Hmm... It is a tough question. Well, since it is you who suggest having this date. Should you be the one who decides what we are going to do for today?" Yu Qi pushed that back to Long Hui.
Long Hui laughed. "You just do not want to think right?"
"Well... I don't care much about what are we going to do since we are going to be together." Yu Qi grinned.
"Then, let's go skating." Long Hui stated.
"Hmm... It would be fun." Yu Qi said.
So, they went to a shopping mall that had a facility for ice skating. Since it was the weekdays, there were not many people around. Before that, they went inside Yu Qi's space to change the suitable clothes for ice skating. After that, they went to register and got their shoes. "Is this your first time skating?" Yu Qi asked.
"No, I have done it before..." Long Hui answered.
"Owh... I see. This is my first time skating." Yu Qi smiled.
"Don't worry. I am here to help you."
Both of them entered the field. Yu Qi hesitated for a moment. However, Long Hui handed out his hand to Yu Qi to hold it. Long Hui was standing on the ice field without any problem. Yu Qi was about to slip down when she paid her attention to Long Hui. Long Hui quickly got hold of Yu Qi's waist. "Be careful." Long Hui said.
"Thank you..." Yu Qi said.
"It is quite a scene." Long Hui suddenly said that.
"What?" Yu Qi was confused not understand what Long Hui said something like that.
"You are struggling. You always know everything. This time, it is not." Long Hui chuckled.
"Well, it is my first time skating. So, it is not so weird for the first-timer." Yu Qi protested.
"Yes... Yes..." Long Hui nodded.
Long Hui started to teach Yu Qi how to skate properly. Yu Qi was, as always, a fast learner. She already knew how to skate after being taught once by Long Hui. She moved forward slowly first. After that, she started to increase her speed.
"It is so fun." Yu Qi said. "Glad that you enjoy it." Long Hui followed behind. They started to perform some tricks. Yu Qi jumped several times and landed back on the ice without falling down. She already understood how it worked. Yu Qi recalled the move that she watched back then. She did not know what they had called but it consisted of jumping, spinning on the air a few times and landing back on the ice with one foot. "Brother Hui, I want to do a trick." Yu Qi said.
With that, she jumped off into the air, spun three times and landed backwards safely. Long Hui was stunned.
"Qi Qi, you are so amazing." Long Hui praised her.
"Thank you." Yu Qi said. She became more confident and performed that trick several times. They were having fun together. They noticed some people were watching them. However, it was without malice. So, they let them be.
They were playing for about two hours and finally got out of the ice field. She was just taking off the shoes when someone called over. It was a woman. She assumed it would be the same pattern where Long Hui attracted the woman's attention. However, this time, she was wrong. That woman was ignoring Long Hui and looked at her with sparkling eyes. She felt goosebumps around her body.
"Yes, what can I help you?" Yu Qi asked.
"Well, that triple axel is very good. You have the talent to be an ice skater. Are you interested in becoming one?" The woman asked. "What?" Yu Qi was dumbfounded. "I saw you do the triple axel just now multiple times. If you have a coach to teach you, you can achieve more than that." The woman seemed to be very excited.
Yu Qi stepped back. "I am sorry. I am not interested in being an ice skater."
"What? Why? You have talent?" The woman was not satisfied with the reason.
"I am sorry. Please let me go." Yu Qi wanted to leave.
However, the woman was very passionate about this. Yu Qi went to Long Hui's side. Long Hui who just listened from the side now protected Yu Qi from this woman. The woman was stunned when she saw Yu Qi get closer to this man. She could not argue that this man was quite handsome. "Is it because of this man that you did not want to be an ice skater?" The woman asked.
"Huh? No." Yu Qi shook her head.
"Then...?" The woman did not give up.
"Because I already have a job that I like." Yu Qi stated.
"What kind of job that you have right now?" The woman wanted to know what kind of job that Yu Qi liked so much. "I am a doctor." Yu Qi said proudly.
"What?" The woman was kind of surprised.
