Chapter 591: 556. Obito’s Awakening
Whoosh...
Tobirama teleports all of his clones around Obito's giant body. Each of these shadow clones is holding several explosive paper bombs with them. The clones swiftly attach the paper bombs to Obito's body.
Obito also reacts almost immediately and uses his truth-seeking orbs to obliterate the shadow clones.
However, before dispersing, the shadow clones make a hand seal and the ash and other particles of their bodies turn into paper bombs.
Instantly, almost a thousand paper bombs surround Obito.
"Tandem Explosion Bombs,"
Tobirama's real body makes a hand seal, detonating those thousands of paper bombs in an instant.
BOOM... BOOM... BOOM...
A series of explosions echo throughout the battlefield. Mito also completes her seal and erects a green barrier to isolate the explosion around Obito.
The explosion tags continue to explode within her barrier. The intensity of the explosion forces others to fall back.
"The effect is better than I imagined," Tobirama remarks at the spectacular performance of his jutsu.
After a few seconds, the explosion dies down and almost half of Obito's body is obliterated by it.
"Now is our chance!"
Tobirama places his hands on Naruto, Sasuke, and Mito. The group teleports around Obito.
Sasuke creates a defensive shield with his Susanoo while Naruto reinforces it with the Nine Tail's chakra.
Mito makes a series of hand signs and continues to tag Obito's body with one sealing talisman after another.
A sealing formation appears beneath Obito's huge body. Several fuinjutsu runes crawl around him and envelop his black chains.
Mito continues the sealing ritual by making one hand sign after another while Naruto and Sasuke suppress any resistance Obito's body offers.

Inside Obito's mindscape,
The mumbles and chaotic thoughts intensify. Obito holds his head in pain.
Numerous wooden stakes erupt from the ground. These stakes pierce Obito's body and slowly drain his consciousness and memories. Obito's memories slowly fade one after another. His identity, his goals, his ambitions, all of them are slowly wiped clean.

Obito's vision turns blurry and his head feels dizzy. His eyelids turn heavy, and he slowly closes his eyes. Mito's sealing accelerates the process of Ten Tail's takeover.
Suddenly, before Obito closes his eyes, a gentle female voice echoes in his mind.
"Obito!"
"Rin!"
Obito replies subconsciously. A picture of Team Minato without him appears in his vision.
Minato extends his hand to touch the picture, but it shatters into countless fragments and disperses.
"I... I... Rin!"
A small hand caresses Obito's face.
"Don't give up, Obito!"

Rin's voice snaps him from the trance. He extends his hand and caresses Rin's face. Rin smiles at him and disperses into his surroundings.
This was his most precious memory. His will and tenacity to cling to this memory forced his mind awake.
Slowly, all of his memories return and Obito regains clarity.
Outside, as Mito was about to complete the final sealing procedure. A surge of chakra explodes from Obito's body. This surge of chakra pushes them back and snaps the sealing chains around Obito.

A heartbeat echoes from Obito, who has turned into a massive meatball at this point.
"W-what's going on?" Naruto stares at the giant lump of meat.
"Get away, quickly!" Mito warns them.
HAAH...
Tobirama immediately places his hand on the group's back and teleports them away.
Thump...
The massive lump of meat slowly morphs into a human to reveal Obito's figure.
Tsunade and the rest stare at him in trepidation.
"He seems to be different from before," Mei remarks.
"Something about him has changed!" Tsunade also notices changes in Obito's body.
"His appearance has changed!" Jiraiya comments.
After this transformation, Obito's appearance has changed once again.
The scales on his body have become less prominent and only cover the scars on his body. The ten protrusions on his back expanded to form the collar and coattails of a haori. Two horns also sprout from his forehead, the left horn being smaller than the right. Six magatama markings appear across his chest.
Ten truth-seeking orbs float beside his back. Obito extends his hand and one of the truth-seeking orb flies into his palm. The truth-seeking orb morphs into a dual-headed shakujō. One end has a ringed hoop, while the other end possesses a crescent-shaped curve.
Obito slowly opens his eyes and glances at the group in front of him.
"Finally, this power... I am in control of it." He utters these words.
The expression of the group turns ugly after these words. Before, they could exploit Obito's weakness due to his lack of control, but now his power seems to have increased exponentially.
"Amaterasu!"

Tobirama teleports behind Obito and attacks his back with a sealing tag prepared by Mito.
"Too slow!"
Obito turns around and swings the staff. The staff obliterates Second Hokage's body and disperses his attack.
"TOBIRAMA SENSEI!"
Itachi uses this opportunity and targets Obito's blind spot.
"Amaterasu!"

One of the Truth-seeking orbs beside Obito flies in front of the attack and morphs into a shield. The black shield blocks the flames.
"I can see it! I can feel it!"
Obito turns around and remarks.
"Every bit of chakra in this world."
Tobirama's body lifelessly falls to the ground.
"TOBIRAMA SENSEI!"
"Don't worry Saru, that was one of my clones." Tobirama teleports beside Hiruzen.
"With the nature of his attacks, I can't risk exposing my body to his attacks. Just one scratch means death, even if this body is immortal."
Suddenly, a blinding light covers the battlefield. The group shields their eyes to block the shield.
"Wind Release: Tailed beast Rasenshuriken,"
"Sage Art: Hiryū on Ikari,"
Naruto summons his Kurama chakra avatar. Kurama avatar opens its giant mouth and creates a massive-tailed beast bomb. Naruto adds wind elemental chakra to it and infuses it with Nature energy.
Sasuke also summons his Full Body Susanoo. The giant Susanoo makes a series of hand signs and creates a massive chakra dragon infused with nature energy. Sasuke adds black Amaterasu flames to the dragon's body.

A red glow appears in the black dragon's eye. It opens its giant maw and leaps at Obito.
Obito, who is unprepared, faces the full brunt of Naruto and Sasuke's attack.

Naruto's massive-tailed beast Rasenshuriken drops on top of Obito and explodes into an enormous scarlet explosion.

Sasuke's black dragon also roars and slams into Obito's position.

A massive pillar of black lightning rises towards the sky. Black flames engulf the battlefield.

"Even a small power... can be helpful." Shikaku slowly phrases his words.
The morale of the army hit rock bottom after Obito demonstrated his power by shattering the barrier erected by the combined efforts of the Allied Shinobi Force with such ease. To make matters worse, the battle between Hashirama and Madara brought them further despair.
"We might not be needed now. But there will be a time when our powers will be required. No... they will be necessary. Each and every one of you is a crucial contributor to this war." Shikaku slowly uplifts the morale of the shinobis.
"So, don't take your eyes off the battlefield. For when such a time comes... our power will change the very course of this world! So, we can't afford to relax and let our guard down, even for a second!"
"That's right!"
"He's got a point!"
"Yeah!"
"We can't give up!"
"I won't let the sacrifice of my brother in vain!"
Shikaku's words reignite the passion of the Allied Shinobi forces.
