Chapter 862 Ako Versus Mei Ling
"Oh, it's time…." Kana stood up and disappeared from where the sect master seats.
The sect master of Moon Crest Academy was slightly confused. "Where did she run off to now?"
"Kana is going to set up the barrier around the battle stage so no one gets hurt. If Ako and Little Ling fight, it will cause destruction all over the place." Creige replied. The sect master nodded his head. He now understood why she left so quickly.
Just outside the battle stage Kana appeared next to sect master Tian. "Old man, I need to set up a barrier. So do all your talking outside the battle stage." Kana announced with a smile.
"Thank you, sorry for the trouble." Sect master Tian had already been wondering what he should do about this. He had hoped she would come and put up a barrier otherwise, he was afraid for the audience with this next battle.
Kana waved her hand, creating a five layer barrier just in case. "There you go. This should hold. But don't worry if it doesn't hold. I will be sure to block any attacks that might come."
"Thank you." Sect master Tian replied respectfully as he watched Kana nod at him and disappear.
Up on the stage, Mei Ling's lips curled up into an excited smile. "Aunty Ako, I will not hold back."
"Little Ling can go all out. Do not worry." Ako replied warmly. She liked Little Ling a lot. If she were to ever have a child of her own one day, she hoped they would be as cute as Little Ling.
Outside the battle stage, sect master Tian floated in the air and looked at the two girls who were much more powerful than him and sighed. The entire tournament turned into a Moon Crest Academy tournament. There will be no other contestants in the finals but those from the academy. But he had to say he was curious as to what kind of power they were about to display.
"Let the battle begin!"
"Hehe! Here I come!" Mei Ling suddenly crouched down, her hand on the hilt of her sword. "In the beginning, there was nothing…."
*Boom!*
Mei Ling's sword draw was so fast that no one even saw her move her hand. They only heard a loud explosion, and the whole area, including the sky, shook. Dust filled the barrier where Ako was standing, causing everyone to try and see through it to see if the slime girl was even alive or not.
"Little Ling, you reduced the power of your attack again!" Ako's reprimanding voice filled the air. With a wave of her hand, the dust cleared to reveal Ako standing there perfectly fine. "You held back and did not even create a black hole! How many times has Master told you not to hold back against an enemy!?">
"But, Aunty Ako is not my enemy. This is just a friendly tournament…." Mei Ling yelled back while pouting. She wanted to fight but not kill anyone.
"Little Ling, right now I am your enemy. You lose to me, and you can not move forward, think of a loss as your death. Now fight me by going all out!" Ako also wished to goal out. She did not wish to just sit around. She drew her sword and pointed it at Mei Ling. "Void of Chaos."
A small black ball formed at the tip of Ako's sword. Although it was small, it was causing the space around it to distort, and those in the stands began to feel a great pressure weighing down on them. "When I say go all out, I mean it! Because I will be doing the same!"
Mei Ling began to sweat. She knew this attack, and it was definitely an attack that could seriously hurt her. Her Mama used it on her all the time! "Aunty Ako, there is no need to use that attack! Ahhh!"
Mei Ling quickly bent back while screaming out in fright. The black ball just barely missed her face causing almost wet herself in fear. Up in the sect master seats, Kana sat in her seat with a relaxed expression as she watched the match.
Yana and the other girls all looked at Kana's relaxed behavior and then at each other. It was Rain who leaned over and whispered first: "Aunty Ako is Mama 2.0 when it comes to training."
"She is still nicer." Angelica quickly added.
"Mmm… Mama would have turned the chaos ball to smack us in the head with it, and then she would have shoved healing pills in our mouths. I have no idea how many times I thought I was going to lose my life." Yana said while shivering. Just remembering it brought back nightmares.
"I know she is only doing it so we can prepare for the future but still… I kinda miss the overprotective Mama who would never let us come to harm." Rain remembered the days that they couldn't even get a scratch on them without their Mama freaking out.
"Actually, Mama is still like that. Just not when training." Angelica commented.
"Ahh yeah, that is true…." Rain replied with a sigh…
"You girls do know I can hear you, right?" Kana asked as she turned her head towards them. "Dragons have good ears…."
All three girls stuck their tongues out at Kana and grinned mischievously. Kana chuckled and shook her head. Her daughters could be naughty sometimes. "And Ako is doing this because she wants to break a few habits Little Ling has, which is compassion on the battlefield. She told me about it before the match started. She was concerned about her good nature towards her enemies. She wants to instill the idea that on the battlefield that she must never be lenient. This was something I also learned while being on this world. It is the law of this world. While some times it was good, other times it is not."
"That is true… I see now... That is why she is deliberately going for the spots that an enemy would naturally go for. …." Yana mumbled as she watched the fight progress.
