1143 Beginning Of Another Adventure Part 1
In a large, highly advanced Empire, A young man sat on this throne, looking at the young woman in front of him with a smile. "Mama…."
"Mmm…" Kana smiled as she gently caressed the heads of the two girls in her arms. Another young man stood at her side. "I will be leaving for a new place. I am not sure when I will be able to visit again."
"I see…." Devan smiled softly. He looked at his sisters, who were like young girls in his mama's arms, and at his little brother, who was standing there watching things from the side. "As long as you live a long, happy life, we, your children, will be able to feel at ease."
"I should be the one saying that." Kana chided with a smile. "I hope you all will be able to handle things for a while. While I will still be keeping an eye on you all, I will not be able to act right away since the place I am going is not easy to get to in the first place. But don't worry, your aunts will be in Eden. Big Sister Camlia will be in charge of Eden and Aurora."
"That is good to hear. It seems our family is monopolizing everything." Devan chuckled before looking at the young man next to Kana. "Keith, you can not stay gone for long, so I will send you back."
"Thanks, Big Brother." Keith did not want to leave, but he had no choice. As a ruler, he had to be there for his people at all times. He turned to Kana and gave her a big hug. "Mama, I hope you will send us a message when you arrive in the new place you are heading to. Make sure you do not make us worry too much."
"Mmm… Keith, take care. When I have a chance, I will bring you and your babies and your grandbabies a bunch of gifts." Kana caressed her son's face before giving him a kiss on the forehead. "Be safe."
"I will." Keith smiled and pulled on his two sisters. "We need to go. Don't make Big Brother use too much power by sending us back one at a time."
"But…." The two girls were very reluctant to go.
"You girls both have families as well. Take care of them. I will be sure to visit, I promise." Kana gave both girls a kiss. Mana and Nana's eyes turned red. They did not want to leave their Mama!
Kana said her goodbyes and watched as three of her kids went back to their worlds. She then looked at Devan and felt a bit of heartache. "Devan, as a mother, I failed you. But in the end, I was at least able to give you a second chance. You have made me proud. So proud, in fact, I wish to sing your praise all the time."
"Mama, you jest. I know you are busy eating meat." Devan chuckled as he watched his Mama's cheeks turn red. "I will watch over our family. Do not worry. No one will dare to harm any of them."
"I know. Devan, when we next meet, I might look very different." Kana smiled with tears in her eyes.
"No matter what you look like, you will always be the mother I love." Devan got up and stepped forward. In a flash, he was standing in front of Kana. He hugged her and kissed the top of her head. "Remember Mama, it is because of you that I am here standing here today. You gave me life not once but twice. I am grateful for every experience I have gained because of that."
"Mmm…" Kana nodded and squeezed Devan. "I will be off."
Devan nodded and stepped back. He watched as his Mama tore a hole in space and then stepped through it. As she disappeared, Devan's eyes went from warm to cold as he looked at the corner of the room. "You dare show yourself here? Spying on me like this. You have some nerve. It seems that you people do not want to exist anymore."
"Tehehehe…. So you noticed. Your family drama just now was bitterly sweet." A man suddenly stepped out of the shadows. "Oh, Lord of the Sea of Stars, today is the day you will cease to exist."
"Really?" A faint voice came from behind the man.
The man's spine turned cold as he slowly turned his head to see a young woman standing there with a gentle smile on her face. "You…. You left…."
"Did you think you could hide from me?" Kana's eyes were cold as ice. "I only stepped away to get rid of your organization. You dared to target my son."
The man did not even get a chance to cry out before he vanished into thin air, as if he was never there. Kana snorted before turning to Devan, her eyes turning warm once more. "You can deal with the aftermath. I already got rid of the people strong enough to target you. This should give you an easier time."
Devan sighed as he shyly rubbed his head. "I will need to work more on growing stronger. In the past hundred years, I have been so busy trying to build things up that I have had no time to think about my own strength. Mama, thanks."
"I will always be watching." Kana smiled before disappearing. She knew if she stayed any longer, she would not want to leave.
Devan shook his head and smiled brightly. "I guess I need to work hard. If I end up dying while she is unable to return, she will surely spank my butt when she brings me back to life!" Just thinking about it made Devan shiver. His mother did not know the meaning of restraint!
Kana reappeared in her home, where Nancy had already had a cup of tea waiting for her. "Master."
"Nancy, I will be leaving. I leave the house in your care. Be sure to take care of things. Francessca will be here from time to time as well, so make sure you treat her well." Kana's words shocked Nancy. She did not know why she was being left behind!
"Ummm, Master, do you not love me anymore?" Nancy asked in a low voice.
"Hmmm? Love? No? Anyway, I need to go. Everyone is waiting." With that, Kana flashed a smile and disappeared again.
As for Nancy, she stood there frozen, unable to react to the words she just heard. The other two maids who had come with her were giggling away. "Remember to get the bet money from her later when she comes too. We told her so many times, but she did not listen!"
