Chapter 1130 The Reason For The Change Part 1
"Fran, why do people keep looking at me strangely?" Kana could tell that everyone was looking at her. And not in a normal way. It was as if they were gazing upon their god.
"Maybe they just think you are cute?" Francessca knew what was going on, but since it was too much fun to say it outright, she found it more amusing to watch Kana try to deal with the situation on her own.
Kana pursed her lips. This was not the 'she looks cute stare'! Her handsome husband looked at her all the time like that! "As if! They are staring at me as if they are going to eat me up!"
"Maybe you make them hungry." Francessca teased. For some reason, she felt that the air in this realm had cleared a bit and was not as oppressive as before.
"Whatever the case, let's hurry and get into town. We are on a delicacy hunt!" Kana had decided to taste all the food in this realm, especially their meat, to see how good it was. She found her first helping not bad at the small inn in that village. She was now currently in a bigger town which had many restaurants.
Francessca could only helplessly smile. Nothing kept Kana down for more than a minute. "Hey, wait up!" Francessca realized Kana had begun to sprint into town! She would get lost if she did not keep up!
Within Eden, the old man looked at the images in the pool of water in front of him with a shocked expression. "She's actually nullifying that evil energy? She had not done much except speak to a few people, but the evil energy in the realm has been reduced by three percent."
Pondering for a moment, he turned his focus to Kana, who was currently stuffing her face with food once more. "She is radiating a naturally godly divinity that is actually counteracting the evil energy I created so long ago…. If she stays there for a year or so, she can easily clear the energy there, and then the realm, after being dyed red for so long, can finally step out of the shadows... I must speak with her!"
The old man knew he could not just appear now. The people of that realm despised him with a passion. However, by now, many would have forgotten what he looked like. After thinking for a moment, he decided to take a trip down there. He waved his hand and covered him self in clothing of that realm, and disappeared from Eden.
As he disappeared, a young woman walked in with a tray of pastries: "Your Holiness, I brought the snacks you requested. I had to make them myself since there was none left in storage. It took me a while, I know, but I did finally replicate…. Your Holiness!?"
The young woman looked around and frowned. She did not see the old man anywhere. Her gaze fell on the pool of water, which still showed Kana eating and drinking within a pub and clenched her fists. "This woman again!"
She had been at his holinesses side for so long. She did not know why the old man was so obsessed with her to the point that he even made her his heir. Did not understand why she was not good enough. Her powers were similar to his holiness, and she could create many things. With more strength, she could definitely do the things His Holiness can do! "I will not stand for this! I must put this woman in her place once and for all!"
Not even thinking about where the old man had gone, the young woman disappeared from the room, leaving the platter in her hand to fall to the ground. Her mind had a kind of tunnel vision, and her only thought process was to take out the person who was a threat to all her hard work.
Within the town, the old man quickly made his way to the pub Kana was currently in. He had to ask her what she was doing to change the realm. It intrigued him so much that he couldn't contain his smile. He walked into the pub, spotted Kana, and walked right toward her. It was just that the happy reunion he had planned was not what he was getting. Instead, five burly men stood up and stood in front of him. "What do you want with Demon Goddess Kana?"
"Hmmm? I am just here to speak to my granddaughter. Please move aside." The old man was trying his best to be polite. But this just seemed to anger the burly men even more.
"Hah! We have heard the same excuse over ten times in just the past hour. Do you think we are stupid!? Listen, old man, leave now before we start to get angry." The leader of the burly men said as he crossed his arms across his chest. But his words surprised the old man. Mainly because if it was before, they would have just attacked him on the spot.
The old man scratched his head and sighed. He could only ask. "How do I prove that I am the girl's grandfather if you do not at least let her see me? I mean, if you really send me away and it ends up being true, would you not be letting your goddess down?"
The leader of the burly men furrowed his brow. He could not deny this. If it really is true, he would end up being sentenced to death for offending her Holiness! "Hold on…"
The burly man could only go and ask if the Goddess knew the old man. He turned to his men and said: "Watch over him. Do not let anything happen to him."
"Understood!" The other burly men all saluted.
The old man was quite amazed at the changes in the people. They were nothing like this before. He was actually very happy about this change. He just did not know what it was about Kana that allowed them to change so much in such a short time.
