Chapter 689: Night Before Wedding
Bai Qinghao’s gaze was filled with love for her. “I was worried about you so I came over. My parents are at the hospital.”
“But you’ll have to leave from the Yu Ting Villa tomorrow to receive me.”
He gently caressed her hair and watched her lovingly. “I’ll rush to the Yu Ting Villa tomorrow morning. I’ll spend the night with you here first.”
This was the place where Fang Lilan’s body had been found. He was really worried about leaving her alone here.
“En.” She nodded lightly.
His gaze shifted onto the blood-stained sheets. He appeared deep in thought. “If I recall correctly, this is Fang Shaohua’s room.”
“That’s right. My brother comes by to stay here every once in a while.” Fang Xinxin took in his stern and cold expression. If he suspected something between Fang Shaohua and her, the wedding would have to be cancelled!
It seems like… cough, would it be better to think of a solution right now?
He remained silent.
So she asked coldly. “What do you think about it?”
“What do you mean?” He lifted his inky black brows.
She pointed towards the blood-stained bed.
He slapped her butt lightly and looked at her seriously. “I won’t suspect you. It seems like you’ll have a sister-in-law soon.” It was clear that the blood-stain had been there for several days.
She was pleased with his response. She pressed her face against his chest. “As long as you trust me.”
“Silly.” He patted her back lightly as he spoke heavily and lovingly. “You are my wife. As your husband, it’s a given that I trust you.”
She brought her phone out and gave Bodyguard Liu a call. “Sir Liu, hello. I wanted to ask if my brother brought a woman home several days ago?”
“It was around a week ago. Mr. Fang Shaohua returned to his room first. At around midnight, Miss Sun Jiamu came to visit him. They left one after another the next morning.” Sir Liu’s voice could be heard from the other end.
Fang Xinxin ended the call and said happily, “It’s really Jiamu. I really hope she will become my sister-in-law!”
“There’s no need to pay so much attention to his love life.” Bai Qinghao held her shoulders and nudged her out of the room. Post that, they headed next door into her room.
“En.” She yawned.
She checked her phone and saw that it was nearly 2:00 a.m..
He knew that she was very tired.
Thus, they were only intimate once.
The two of them fell into deep sleep.
The next morning, Bai Qinghao woke up around 7:00 in the morning. He saw that Fang Xinxin was still asleep.
Her eyebrows appeared long and curled, and her appearance was stunning.
He pressed a firm kiss against her lips and whispered. “I’ll head back to the Yu Ting Villa now. I’ll be back soon to pick you up. You can sleep for a little longer.”
She nodded in a daze.
He quietly put on his clothes and left.
At around 8:00 in the morning, Fang Xinxin was woken up by the knocks against her door. She yawned and stretched before getting out of bed.
After getting dressed, she opened the door to see that the Yu Ting Villa’s butler, Zhao Cheng, was accompanied by two young women. “Madam, we have brought the wedding dress you previously chose with Young Master. These are the make-up artist and stylist… Please have your breakfast now. They will then help you get ready after that. This way, we will be just in time for when the Young Master comes to pick you up.”
“Alright.” Fang Xinxin drank the bird’s nest soup which Butler Zhao Cheng had prepared. She then changed into her wedding dress in the room on the second floor.
