He paused for a moment before adding. “Could it be that you’re relying on Bai Qinghao’s influence to bully others?”
“This is unrelated to Bai Qinghao.” Fang Xinxin smiled coldly. “As Jiamu’s friend, I have the right to protect her from danger.”
“You speak as if I would harm her. I’m her boyfriend. I’ll always be the first to protect her.”
Fang Xinxin pointed out coldly, “If she is completely fine and only asleep, why would she remain asleep despite our conversation?”

Feng Dongkai approached the bed and gently addressed Jiamu,. “Mumu, you’re awake. Do you feel any discomfort?”
“Go away!” Sun Jiamu had also noticed something to be amiss.
“What’s wrong, Mumu?” Feng Dongkai appeared confused. “You were fine earlier. Why are you suddenly upset at me?”
Sun Jiamu struggled to explain this as well.
A hint of hurt appeared in Feng Dongkai’s charming expression. “Just because your friend doesn’t like me, your attitude towards me has changed.”
“No...” She felt that something wasn’t right about Feng Dongkai.
Fang Xinxin carefully examined Sun Jiamu’s complexion before asking. “My dear, do you feel especially weak and tired? You can’t even raise your hand, can you?”
“Yes.” Jiamu nodded.
Fang Xinxin’s expression turned heavy. “Those are the symptoms of having taken sleeping pills.”
