Chapter 424: Table Mates
He appeared to be comfortable and well. It seemed like he did not fall sick after being tossed into the lake. As usual, there was a cup of coffee on his desk and he was gracefully tasting it.
She wasn’t sure if this bouquet of flowers came from him.

In any case, Bai Qinghao was currently abroad. There was no way that the flowers were from Bai Qinghao.
Thus, she coldly responded. “My apologies. I refuse to accept them.”
“You can’t do this. The man who ordered these flowers instructed that you have to accept them. If you won’t, I’ll have to throw these flowers away.” The young man appeared helpless.
“Throw it away, then.” Fang Xinxin walked around him and headed for her seat only to see that Yu Liang was actually seated there. “Why are you in my seat?”
Yu Liang’s heart had moved for her quite some time ago. He responded apologetically. “We reshuffled our seats today. It’s unfair to the students who are seated at the back to maintain the same seating arrangement throughout the school year. Everyone agreed to rearrange seats by drawing lots.”
“Where are the lots?”
Yu Liang pointed at a class table on the lecturer’s podium.
Fang Xinxin headed for the podim.
A group of girls in class stared at the bouquet in the young man’s hands with envy. Wu Jiatong spoke up first. “Handsome, it’s too much of a waste to throw those roses away. Why don’t you gift it to me?”
“Gift it to me, gift it to me!” Several other girls chimed in.
The young employee holding onto the bouquet was placed in a tight spot. “There are 999 roses in this bouquet and it represents pure love. It’s such a large bouquet and it’s naturally very costly as well. It would be best if Fang Xinxin herself accepted it.”
When the girls heard him say so, they gave up asking for it. Wu Jiatong was extremely curious. “Who bought these flowers?”
“The customer did not reveal his name.”
“I really don’t understand. Even if Fang Xinxin has slimmed down, her face remains ugly. To think that someone would buy flowers for her.” Wu Jiatong’s voice was sour with jealousy.
Sun Jiamu immediately spoke up for her good friend. “Our Xinxin has a beautiful soul. All the men choose to admire her rather than you. What about it?”

She was stifled with anger.
Fang Xinxin approached the podium and saw that there was only a single strip of paper left in the transparent glass bottle.
She scanned the classroom. All the students were seated and the only empty seat that remained was next to Jiang Xingnan.
This meant that the final lot she had was for the table next to Jiang Xingnan’s.
Fang Xinxin questioned no one in particular. “Are the lots fair?”
One of her classmates responded immediately. “It’s very fair. We all took the lots randomly. It’s because you’re late that there’s only one lot left.”
Fang Xinxin took the last strip of paper from the glass bottle. She opened it to see that it indicated the last seat in the second column.
The last seat in the second column was connected with the seat in the first column. The person in the first column was Jiang Xingnan.
As expected, the seat she had got was next to Jiang Xingnan. Fang Xinxin frowned deeply. “Why am I seated with Jiang Xingnan?”
Wu Jiatong had liked Jiang Xingnan for a long time. She deeply wished that she could sit with Brother Nan. Unfortunately, luck was not on her side. “Go ahead and celebrate. It’s a blessing from your previous life that you’re able to share a table with Brother Nan.”
“I don’t want this blessing.” Fang Xinxin immediately decided. “Wu Jiatong, let’s exchange seats.”

She was about to head for the empty seat next to Jiang Xingnan, when he turned to look at her coldly. “Who dares to destroy the ‘complying with public opinion’ rule that this young master set up?”
