“Just recently, our CEO approved of an eighty million dollars project for the Fang Group. Due to unknown reasons, the project was terminated last minute. The eighty million dollars fund is yet to be transferred out.”
In the living room, Fang Lilan, Fang Manxue and Long Shuhai were angered by the reminder of the eighty million dollars. The money had nearly entered their pockets!
This was all because of Fang Xinxin’s interference.
Eighty million dollars was a large sum of money. Every mention of it caused them to feel as though they had lost a part of their own flesh.
Fang Xinxin however, had captured Zhang Yuanzhi’s main point. “That’s a lot of money. Was it meant to be directly transferred to the Fang family? Wasn’t it supposed to be used for the project?”
Zhang Yuanzhi explained with a nod. “Although it’s called a project contract, the only purpose of the contract is for the Fang Group to receive a certain percentage of the profit from the project. The Fang Group does not have to invest any sum of money or make any effort. They only have to wait to collect the money when the project concludes.”
“What?” Fang Xinxin was startled into slamming the table and standing up. “What kind of project fund is that? Isn’t Bai Qinghao just gifting money to the Fang group?”
“That is the case.” Zhang Yuanzhi added.
“By telling others that the money is meant for the project fund, it is to save the face for the Fang Family. Reputation-wise, it would be better than telling others that the Fang family are simply taking money from the Bai family.”
Fang Xinxin’s body felt weak from anger. Exactly how stupid had she been in her last life? “What is the least amount Bai Qinghao has ever given to the Fang home.”
Zhang Zhiyuan had studied all the documents. He did not have to check the papers to recall the numbers. Although he did not understand why she was asking this, he still responded. “That would be 4,500,000 dollars.”
Fang Xinxin glared angrily at Fang Lilan and the others who were present in the living room. She gritted her teeth. “Very good! Didn’t the three of you say that Bai Qinghao is especially stingy? Each time, he only gave you guys only a couple of hundred thousand dollars? You even claimed that all of the owed money summed up to be less than a few million dollars?”
Upon hearing this, Bai Qinghao’s cold and handsome complexion darkened.
He lifted his hand and the bodyguards immediately understood his meaning. They dragged Fang Lilan, Fang Manxue and Long Shuhai to stand before him.
Bai Qinghao sat at the dining table. He tapped his fingers against the table lightly. His voice had turned dangerous and threatening. “I’m stingy and only gave you guys a hundred thousand dollars at a go?”
It was the same question, but Fang Lilan and the others had been fearless when Fang Xinxin had posed it.
They had long grown used to pinching this soft persimmon. It was kind enough of them to not pinch her to death. As if they would be afraid of her!
However, when they heard the same question from Bai Qinghao, they immediately began to tremble.
“C... CEO Bai, I shouldn’t have said that!” Fang Lilan spoke in embarrassment.
“I was only joking with Xinxin...”
She then glanced at Fang Xinxin in unhappiness. “You brat, why don’t you have any brains? Even the cigars that CEO Bai uses are worth more than several hundred thousand dollars a box. He is such a generous man. How could he possibly give the Fang family so little?”
