1435 Fierce Battle (1)

Xiao Shan didn’t think much of it. He subconsciously got up and walked over to open the curtain. Seeing that it was dark outside, he turned around and was about to report this to Master Chi and Director Feng.

Before he could say anything, there was a flash as a golden light containing black smoke quickly attacked through the crack in the window. Seeing that the streak of light was aimed at Xiao Shan’s heart, Chi Shuyan swiftly got up. Quicker than the light, she immediately flashed in front of Xiao Shan and quickly pulled him away when the light attacked his back.

Xiao Shan was pulled away, and that golden light harboring black smoke smashed into a wall with a loud bang. Cracks appeared in the wall, and a black ghastly-looking handprint was left behind.

This series of actions and the handprint drew everyone’s attention, and they were alarmed. They stared blankly at the cracks in the wall and the black handprint for a long while, not daring to make a sound.

Xiao Shan, who had just escaped death, also looked at Chi Shuyan with lingering fear. If Master Chi hadn’t pulled him out of the way, he would have been smashed into the wall.

Chi Shuyan immediately pushed open the window with one hand and looked around until she saw a figure under a tree in the hotel’s rear garden.

There were still a few lights on outside the hotel. In the dim yellow light, she could just barely make out the man’s strange outfit. Not only was he wrapped up in a black robe, his face was also covered so that only his forehead and a pair of cold eyes were revealed. He stared fixedly at them with a hint of ruthlessness and regret in his eyes.

Chi Shuyan looked behind her and saw that Brother Feng was still calm. She was no longer worried and immediately jumped out of the window that was on the fifth floor.

Chi Shuyan’s jump scared everyone back to their senses, and they screamed.

“Master Chi!”

“Master Chi!”

“Master Chi! No!”

It could be said that Director Wang, Song Chu and Cao Zhengsong were the loudest. Their voices were heart-wrenching. Those who didn’t know better would think that something terrible had happened to Chi Shuyan.

Chi Shuyan’s jump just now not only scared Director Wang and the others, it also scared Feng Yuanlin, Xiao Shan, Wu Haoming and Aunt Miao. However, Feng Yuanlin was the calmest. After all, before Shuyan jumped, she had exchanged looks with him. Feng Yuanlin was relieved. Taking advantage of the moment when everyone’s faces changed and they lost their composure, he hurriedly walked to the window and looked out.

Sure enough!

Downstairs, Shuyan suddenly started fighting with a person wrapped in a black robe.

Seeing how calm Director Feng was, Xiao Shan and Wu Haoming gradually remembered Master Chi’s capability, and their pale faces improved a little. They immediately said to Director Feng, “Director Feng, Sister-in-law, is… is she okay?”

Although Master Chi was very capable, this was the fifth floor, after all. The two of them were really afraid that something had happened to her after she jumped out like that. They asked the question carefully as they looked at Director Feng’s face.

Feng Yuanlin didn’t have time to reply to the two boys. Instead, he suddenly called Aunt Miao over and asked, “Do you know that person down there?”

Aunt Miao had weathered many storms, so she quickly calmed down and walked over. When she followed Feng Yuanlin’s gaze and saw the black-robed man who was fighting the young lady, she became agitated and flustered. Her fingers shook with her emotions. She pushed down the agitation in her heart and said shakily, “Yes, yes, yes… It’s him, it’s him. He’s the ‘benefactor’ whom Father Pan brought to the village back then. Even if you burn me to ash, I will never forget him!”

As soon as Aunt Miao said that, everyone was shocked. Ruan Shenglin, Yang Kun, Yan Zhengming and Song Yanru calmed down first and followed Feng Yuanlin and Aunt Miao’s gazes. They saw Master Chi and a black-robed man fighting fiercely. Not only did they fight on the ground and in the air, a whirlwind blew around them, and they moved so fast they were like afterimages.

Ruan Shenglin, Yang Kun and Yan Zhengming, who had been prepared, gaped in shock as they stared fixedly. Still, they had seen Master Chi fight that monster earlier, so they were able to just barely remain calm.

But this was the first time Director Wang, Cao Zhengsong, Song Chu and Song Yanru had seen Chi Shuyan fight. When they saw the two people fighting fiercely in the air, they were immediately stupefied. Not only did they not come back to their senses for a long time, their eyes almost popped out of their sockets. They were excited and in disbelief. This scene simply refreshed their worldview.

It could be said that this fight was simply more intense and mystical than any fantasy movie they had ever watched. Director Wang and the others even thought that they were dreaming.

Not far away, the whirlwind around Master Chi and the black-robed man caused the window to rattle. Only then did everyone hurriedly come back to their senses.

Director Wang’s face was red and he stuttered for a long time before he spat out the words, “Good, good.” He looked at the two who were fighting and even forgot to panic. His eyes were incomparably hot as he stared at Master Chi, as if seeing her for the first time.

Song Yanru, Song Chu and Cao Zhengsong, who were just as stirred up as Director Wang, watched this scene in disbelief.

They were even more stupefied and shocked than when Master Chi helped them escape Dashan Village. With fights as scary as Master Chi’s, there would definitely be no need to spend so much money on special effects in fantasy movies. It turned out that there really were such mysterious things in this world.

Song Chu and Cao Zhengsong said to Director Wang in excited and shaky voices, “Director… Director Wang, Master Chi… Master Chi is definitely not an ordinary Master. She’s… she’s…”

Song Chu couldn’t find the right words to describe things for a long time. He was so anxious that he scratched his ears. It was Cao Zhengsong who thought of the word for Song Chu. “A god! Master Chi might… be a god!”

They couldn’t suppress the surging excitement and admiration in their voices at all.
