Chapter 2160 Spread the News
The young man is not even in the valley. Instead, hidden beneath a very foggy area within the valley, there is a small opening, as if it was just some crack in the mountain. There is a very small stream flowing down from the rock and that small crack is sucking in a teeny tiny bit of that stream.
Sam turned his body into water using water elemental fusion and merged himself with the stream.
His body slowly went through the crack at the same pace as the water. He landed in a small water body that is bigger than a puddle and smaller than a pond. He didn't come out and make his presence known immediately.
Instead, he spread his observation ability.
He is inside a small hollow room. There is no entrance or exit apart from the small crack from which he poured himself in. The room is rather small.
It is not even fit for a real proper fight.
It is lucky that there won't be one. On the other side of the room sat his target. A young man sat in a lotus position as he meditated with utmost focus. Just the peace on his face made Sam think of all the other people back in various cities.
Every one of them was feeling troubled and they all struggled with the impeding crisis.
But this guy is calm and collected. He would have been a great subordinate that could handle some trivial tasks in the Dusk if not for the path he chose. Anyway, Sam is not short of people like that.
Sam looked around for a moment to see if there are any traps. Once he realized that there are not any, he prepared himself for a moment, before he canceled his fusion.
"FUCK"
The other party screamed like hell as he opened his eyes and mouth wide.
He realized Sam's presence as soon as he changed from the fusion form.
"Who are you?"
He almost yelled out loud. But even as he did, Sam understood that he was trying to stifle his panic. However, Sam looked at him with a smile. His face is covered up, so the other party wouldn't actually know that this intruder is smiling.
"I am here for something that you have. I have an urgent need for it and I realized that I cannot afford to hold back.
So, hand it over and I will let you go. Or, I will have to take it the hard way." Sam said.
"You are here for the coins." The other party replied.
Sam smiled and lunged forward. His body moved like a water serpent swimming in the shallow waters. He slid on the floor as if he was ice skating and made his way towards the opponent.
It didn't even take a few steps though. The room is that small.
*SWOOSH*
The other party slashed with his sword. Sam's brushed past that sword. The sword that landed on him just flew to the side as if he was just a giant blob of gel like substance. The sword slid down and Sam moved around like a snake and threw a punch at the young man's face.
*BAM*
The punch landed squarely on the jaw. It made the young man crash into the wall. But he stabilized himself. He realized that he might not be able to win and instantly made a decisive move. *BOOM*
He threw an inscription at Sam and turned around to flee. On a corner within the room, some runes started glowing. A space gate was inscribed over it.
*SWOOSH*
A spear conjured out of water slid past the young man and hit the wall with runes.
*BOOM*
With an explosion the space gate exploded.
"FUCK"
The young man turned around in resignation.
"Who the fuck are you? Why are you after me?"
Sam held a spear with a frown on his face. His eyes are the only things that were out in the open and even they were disguised to look different. Looking at those eyes and the spear, the way Sam moved, something sparked in the young man's head.
"You… You are from the Zeus Academy, aren't you?" He asked hesitant. But there was a sense of surety in his eyes. As if he knew for sure that the other party is definitely the person he is thinking.
Sam's leg stretched out as he shot his spear forward attacking the young man with vicious threats. The spear clashed with the sword. Sam appeared like the manifestation of water itself.
"Why are you attacking me?
I don't have anything to do with the Zeus Academy. Why are you after me and my coins?"
He screamed at the top of his lungs.
He is still misunderstanding that Sam is from the Zeus Academy. He has no plans of clearing it though. The whole point of wearing that disguise is to create this misunderstanding.
Right now, Sam is copying the fighting style of a water elemental warrior mage of the Zeus Academy. He is part of the Noble league and in first grade. As for how Sam's target knew of this guy… it is from the activities in the Pocket dimensions.
The one that Sam copied from, the man named Arkwa, is actually one of the few that Sam highlighted in one of the modified pocket dimensions. He got some decently high level rewards, even though he didn't get the top reward.
So, he got some eyes on him.
Sam's target who is actually a person with keen eyesight for people also got his eyes on this guy. And luckily for Sam, Arkwa also didn't enter the pocket dimension when he is executing this plan. He is now taking advantage of this whole thing.
*SWOOSH* *SWOOSH* *BAM*
After two swings and one clean hit, the spear pierced through the target's chest and left him there to bleed and die. Sam took off the spatial ring of the target.
He walked to the small opening and swung his spear.
*BOOM*
The rocky wall collapsed opening a way out of him.
As the target died, the bird puppet that he owned flew towards him as if it was looking at him calmly. In reality, Sam is just checking if that guy is going to die or not.
To keep up the appearance of coming there for a robbery, he has to leave as soon as he got what he wanted. That detail would be ignored by most, but knew for sure it subconsciously makes them believe that he only came for the coins.
The bird waited until the man died slowly. All that while, it kept on pecking him as if it is trying to keep him awake.
Up on the death of that guy, it flew through the hole Sam created and flew towards the Norse City.
It flew straight to the Thor Academy and went to the dorm room of the target that just died. The next moment…
*BOOM*
It sent an energy beam and destroyed the whole dorm room from inside. Because that is the only way to do it. If attacked from outside, more than enough defensive formations will trigger. From inside, it gives out a big enough effect.
People started gathering around.
People came running and that included the student union. When they came, all they saw was the metal puppet.
The puppet came in front of them and the next moment, the wrist bands of the student union people started glowing. Virtual screens popped up showcasing the video of the battle.
It recorded all the conversation too. As the student council students looked around, a bit panicking, the bird puppet transmitted the video to the rest of the students that gathered as well.
One of the student council members just caught a hold of the puppet and ran away to the council room.
"For fuck's sake. It is going to be a diplomatic nightmare."
He muttered to himself as he went to the council office.
And what they didn't know is that it was just the tip of the iceberg that night.
After leaving that valley, Sam went to a different place and targeted another person from the Hel Academy. He didn't use water element this time. Instead, he was wielding a saber with metal element.
He danced around like a brute and killed the second target in a much more brutal manner. The puppet also went to the Hel Academy and blew up a dorm there.
Then another thor academy candidate, a candidate from the Loki academy were also killed.
After wreaking havoc, Sam felt relieved to see that Ivar didn't need to be used. Sam is worried that the instructors would have some brains to guard the people who bought coins in the auction. That is why he prepared Ivar.
As a contingency and he even felt a bit disappointed that there is no intervention. It would have created a bit more impact if they did.
