Similarly, Crow and Dove started negotiating the terms to release the remaining captives. As for why Sam was there in the first place, it was for the last two captives. The two who has the highest value among all the captives. They are not just the members of the Noble league, but they are also directly related to the Elders of the Zeus Academy.
They are also the strongest, on the verge of breaking through to the Pre-transcendence of Divine Plane.
They are way too expensive for the Zeus Academy to lose. The loss of students aside, the political ramifications are too hard even for them to face. However, Christos was a bit relaxed. Because even though the negotiations were a bit hard and they paid a lot, it was still within his expectations.
The payment for any ransom didn't exceed the limits he had set before.

"I want the ransom to be paid in coins. We will only accept coins. No mines, no planets, no realms, no dimensions. Coins and coins alone. If you are not up for this, then the negotiations are over."
"Wait, how many coins are you expecting?" One of the seniors on the side asked.
"These two are the most valuable among the bunch, they should each worth at least thrice as the current highest paid ransom. So, I think that lands you somewhere near the worth of three realms with resources filled to the brim.
I am sure the people in the Exchange center will definitely help you evaluate that. You can talk to them, give us a certificate indicating that the evaluation is correct and approved by the exchange along with the coins."
The trio stood up.

Crow and Dove exchanged a glance. They were swamped with many questions haunting their minds.

"Why would you waste such an opportunity just to get some coins from Zeus Academy? Don't you think the realms and resource would have been a better choice?"
"Nah, you guys are underestimating the impact of coins in the current scenario. But I guess I cannot blame you for it. The Gambler Academy hasn't come to the point yet."
That's right, the Gambler's Academy was the only one that wasn't impacted too much by the sudden increase in demand for the coins. Because of their unique nurturing techniques and the number of people with their own unique talents being so high, the coin exchange has been pretty easy for them.
They always managed to secure enough coins to pay the Hub without going through too much trouble.
"Right now, the coins are the most important and scarce resource among all the Academies, particularly in the Olympian region. If they don't cough up the coins, then they will lose the trust of their own students, if they did… well, you will see."
Sam just smiled without saying much.
He went back to the secret room in hub, where his team was working on some plans.
"So, how did the ransom meetings go?"
"A bit amusing. But I must say, I now understand how these Academy wars work. It was never about the territory that they were attacking directly. The Zeus Academy lost over hundred times the value of Thunder Star.
I think the strategy is focused more on capturing the high value targets. The actual territory matters less."
"No wonder… even I thought the Thunder Star was not worth that much hype. The plans the Gambler Academy made were scary." Philip agreed from the side.
"Anyway, let's leave that aside for now. How are our plans going? The announcement in other regions… is it ready?"

And for most students and Instructors that cases numbered in dozens to hundreds.
As for the Elders, the case almost neared five hundred each. From the unfair treatment they gave to students, trading sexual favors from female students, bribes, biased treatments, forbidden practices, abuse to even the slightest embezzlement from the academy funds, the cases were numerous.\
It was one thing for Icarus to file cases regarding the two elders that practiced forbidden rituals to help the Titans, but this came as an unexpected shock.
However, many people who were privy to some more details noticed something else in these cases. That is the nature of cases. Sometimes, same issue was filed in different cases with different point of view as the only variation.
For example, a case was filed by the teammate of a person who died because of the instructor. At the same time, the same issue was raised in a case filed by the family member of the person who died.
When looking at it, the personnel of the Zeus Academy realized one thing. They have seen and used this pattern before and it happened just the day before. The timing cannot be a coincidence and this sent chills down their spine.
For one hundred and seventy or so cases, Sam was subjected to 12 labors.
And those cases were not actually that vicious as most of them were straight up murder and revenge killings. But the things these instructors did…. They violated their duties as the instructor, the academy realm's moral guidelines and to top it all.
The case number is also quite high.
And the worst part is, they themselves colluded with the city guard to set a really nice precedence. Now they are going to die by the axe they grinded themselves.
This is the worst possible outcome they could imagine.
While this news was like a bomb, what they didn't expect was that the news regarding the legacy inheritances has been spreading like wildfire in other regions. Particularly to the players, Sam revealed most of the information he got from Dayus.
So, that very evening, dozens of people from the other regions have moved to the Olympian region as they awaited the opening of the next pocket dimension that they could challenge and try their hand at capturing a legacy inheritance for themselves.
The Elders that are currently put in charge of the academy because of the Dean's absence in the Zeus Academy, were way too swamped in dealing with their own cases to notice this.
As for the other academies, they did and they sent some rats out to get some information.
Sam decided to be generous and gave them some crumbs so that they can fill in the gaps. Just like that, most of the people in the Academy realm now no of the possible presence of legacy inheritances in the pocket dimensions of the Olympian region.
Dayus almost destroyed the whole dorm area when the news came to him.
He knew Sam did it, but he couldn't do shit about it.
As for why Sam did…
Just be a bit more cautious. He had a hunch that the Zeus Academy might use the 12 labors to prevent him from entering the pocket dimensions. That plan has been in their discussions for a while now.
So, he wanted to make sure that Dayus won't have a smooth time in gaining these inheritances if he was absent because of this.
