Chapter 2069 Info

"Are you not curious how he got those powers? What if he had done something forbidden? Do you want to be implicated by it?" Pearl asked. Her tone is slowly becoming angrier.

It is apparent how frustrated she has become because of Jade's behavior.

"I don't mind. If you and father mind that it might effect the family, you can just disown me."

Jade spoke nonchalantly.

Pearl became angry and grabbed her sister by her arm.

"Listen Jade, just because that guy became a bit stronger, that doesn't mean things will change. Everything is the same as before. He is not worthy of you. I will not let you taunt father by trying to be with him.

I will not let you bring father's wrath up on you.

I cannot let that happen." Her tone is angry for sure, but the anger is mostly out of concern. She knew what her father is capable of. Her uncle the Dean of the Zeus Academy is known as a fair but ruthless man when he was young, her father however is equally ruthless if not more and he was never fair.

He always got what he wanted by hook or crook.

Nothing in the world could stop him. His goal is to become the greatest warrior and ascend to become a god and he will do anything to make that happen.

She was glad that her father wasn't interested in any forbidden techniques that involve eating out the hearts of ones children, because she believed that her father is capable of that.

"You know what kind of person father is. He only has two goals, one is to become a god and not just a puny god at the bottom of the celestial ladder. Since he was a kid he wanted nothing more than gaining respect from the gods he worshipped so much.

The second thing is to create a family that is worthy of his reputation and pride. You are obviously talented, but you are wasting that talent away. You should be on the same level as me.

I can seem myself breaking through to the Middle stage of Divine Plane initiation in a few months, but you are nowhere near that. Since we came to this academy I have barely seen any progress in you.

Just because our father is busy with some of his pursuits, that doesn't mean we can just let loose. He will come back and concentrate on us once and if our progress is not up to par, you should know what happens.

Our mother tried her best to give us the status of his offspring, you should know how many bastard children he had and how they are eyeing our family and father's things. We need to be careful or anything that is valuable to us will be taken away from us."

Pearl said without even taking a breath. Her voice is full of frustration and exhaustion. She wanted none of this, but she cannot afford to ignore the obvious responsibilities placed on her.

Jade brushed her sister's hand off and said.

"Are you done? Why are you so annoying all of a sudden?

Do you think I don't know what you guys did to Stone? You tortured him, plotted against him and sabotaged his every attempt to rid himself of that slave status. You never let him succeed. But he came looking for me.

The father who only sees me as a tool and a sister who treats me like I am less than her, the relatives who eye me like vultures and the noble young masters who know little more than the arts of bed chambers, I don't want any of it.

The biggest mistake I had done is confiding in you about my love for that man.

You used to that get praise from father. My relationship with you and father has been destroyed from that very moment. So, I am sorry if I cant give a flying fuck about father and his goals."

"YOU…"

Pearl wanted to lash out at her, but she held herself back.

"From your relationship, I can only guess that he must have told you what he had done. If you have a way to contact him or send a message to him, tell him that he needs to make this stop. He finally became somewhat decent, he can go live his life with relative ease, or trust me I will send him back to being a fucking slave."

Jade didn't reply and waited for her sister to leave.

Sam watched this scene too. It is interesting to know how rough the relationship between these two sisters is, but he currently doesn't have a way to use it.

He wrapped the surveillance up to check on how the plans are going. He is actually a bit surprised because the Pocket dimensions should be open by now. However, for some reason there is a massive delay.

He tried to get some info, but it was kept under the wraps. So, he decided to pester the insider he has.

Sam arrived in front of Ling Tian's classroom.

He was in a lecture exclusive to the third grade students and it is related to battle strategy. Sam's arrival has been abrupt, he looked on the projection shown in front. It was a projection of massive map with various spots showing the troops, their level of power and some more details.

Sam glanced at it in interest.

Ling Tian looked at him with a frown.

"Why are you here?"

"I need to talk to you."

"I am in the middle of the class, we can talk in fifteen minutes, please wait."

He then turned to the class and said.

"This is the critical juncture within the war as shown in the projection. Assume you are the commander of this war and you are going to charge forward to the enemy lines, you are giving the final command to your troops.

How are you going to do it so that you can assure a win even if its by a narrow margin."

The students started discussing among themselves, Sam looked at them and sighed.

"Send a squad fire mages to the eastern camp, tell them to destabilize the White Volcano and that will cause a beast tide, the Eastern camp will be swamped by the beasts and at this time, send a Beast tamer legion that is specialized in aerial combat to stomp the Eastern camp and lure the central camp to the east…"

He went on to dictate the strategy.

"Attack the central camp from the rear and the spot between the central and Eastern camps will be the final battle."

Sam yelled out loud.

Ling Tian looked at him angrily.

"Come on, let's go. Why are you wasting time on such a simple problem?"

He gave the seniors a side-eyed glance. Their faces are burning in shame. Ling Tian sighed once again and said.

"What Sam said is a valid strategy. Think for more."

"If you don't come out now, I can just say them out loud."

"Stop."

Ling Tian stopped Sam and walked out.

"What do you think you are doing?"

"I am just trying to be you."

"What?"

"I am trying to see how it feels to disrupt other people's lives without any warning and always forcing them to do things that way I wanted. Isn't that how you and Gambler disrupted my life until now?"

Ling Tian was deflated. He felt a bad taste in his mouth and even his posture slouched a bit.

"I thought we were going to get along well, when I came here. Now you are making me regret my decision."

Ling Tian said with a sigh.

"Of course, we are going to get along. All I did was play a small prank, is it really necessary to sulk this much?"

"Anyway, what do you need me for?"

"I need some information. From what I research the Pocket dimensions should be open by now. Why didn't they open yet."

Ling Tian sighed once again.

"There are two reasons."

"And they are?"

"One of them is someone under the Olympian control are pressuring to stop the opening of Pocket Dimensions.

It seems to be related to you. Once the pocket dimensions open they have to give access to that pseudo hell simulation pocket dimension to you and your friends. The academies are acting like they are complying to that pressure."

"Acting? They didn't open the dimensions though."

"That brings to the second reason. This is related to the gods. Since the rest of the players are taking a longer time to arrive here, the pocket dimensions have been delayed a bit. The Deans got orders from them and the dimensions are not opened because of it.

The Deans are acting like they are complying with the demands of these clans and organizations under the Olympian control.

They can use this easy chance to pocket a few favors."

"Why would the pocket dimensions be delayed just because the players haven't come? We were told that the competition is already free flowing."

"It kind of is, but you broke the expecttaions once again. Do you know the reason for special admission to you players in the first place?" Ling Tian asked.

"It is because the gods are sure you wouldn't finis the tasks before the admission tests. That was why you were given the special admission. However, you brought the competition forward, as usual."
