Chapter 2061 Warning

However, Ling Tian just decided to be a party pooper again. He stopped Sam in front of his dorm.

"What have you done?" He asked in a distressed tone.

"What do you mean? It is not that hard to understand is it?" Sam asked Ling Tian with a confused expression.

"Not the ruckus in the ceremony. What did you do to Stone?"

Sam nodded in realization.

"Oh? That? It was just an experiment."

"An experiment? You have rewritten the constitution of a person? And it was just an experiment?"

"I never said it is a small experiment neither did I say it didn't have marvelous implications. I just aid it was an experiment. A very great one and a very very successful one."

Sam said with a cheeky tone.

"Come on, Sam. I never took you to be a person to enjoys talking in this childish way. You know I am here on serious business, so be serious."

"Okay, alright. What do you want?"

"How did you change the constitution of that man? How did you give him a new core? What is up with his soul size?"

"So, I assume that you knew who Stone was and what his situation was?"

"Of course, I knew it. Do you think you are the only one obsessed with information?"

"That is good now. I can come to you when I need some more information."

"How did you do it, Sam? Did you use any forbidden skill?"

"I don't know what you mean by forbidden and what classifies a forbidden thing here, all I can say is I just did my research from scratch and tried to see if this would work and it did."

Ling Tian sighed. He knew there was no point in arguing with Sam about this.

"Sam, whatever you have done during this research, stop it right where it is. I don't want you to progress any more than you already have."

"Why is that?"

"Because it is not natural to this world. You should not mess with the core laws of the world. You are an anomaly in the world if you try to start changing the very nature of its things, you are going to piss off the world itself."

"Are you talking in metaphor?" Sam asked in confusion. Even though he understood Ling Tian's words, he could not visualize it. What does he mean by pissing off the world? What constitutes as changing the nature of things? Sam didn't understand.

It would be great if Ling Tian had a response that is not as vague.

"Partially, you can think it is a metaphor, but the consequences would be immense. Stop that research."

"Why? The very fact that I managed to create it means that it is possible in this nature. It was just not done before.

If it is against the laws of nature and its energy, then it shouldn't have been possible."

"Of course, what you said is true. However, there are some laws that are not about the physical existence and running of this nature. I cannot explain it in a way that you can understand it.

All I can say is, a person like you is not supposed to exist in this world. Your presence itself needs bending some laws that I spoke about and whatever you do with this nature, is something that shouldn't have been originally possible in this world. The only reason, you didn't receive any backlash because of this until now, is because whatever you made, whatever you have created until now, with or without you it would have been a feasible invention somewhere in the future.

The nature accepts it because a God is the one backing you.

But once you create something that should never even exist in this world and you create it, then you are challenging it. I don't know how nature will react, but I believe it wouldn't be a great response."

Sam went into a deep thought. What Ling Tian said made a bit of sense, however as Ling Tian himself mentioned, he is not exactly clear about this.

It is a bit hard to understand.

"Alright, I will keep that in mind. Since nothing happened until now, I guess it is not that serious yet and I am still in the safe zone.

And don't worry, I don't have plans to research deep into the line at the moment. Because it is one of the things in my mind that's better left unexplored."

Sam walked past him to go back into his dorm.

"But Sam, I must say. For just creating something like that…. You are the best there is."

Ling Tian said with a smile.

"Thanks. By the way, can you just cover for me? I would like to meet with my friends and celebrate."

Sam went into his dorm and then snuck out. He went to his private room at Nalan's restaurant and all of his friends were already waiting for him over there.

"So, how do you guys like him?"

Sam asked as soon as he entered. He didn't even wait to sit in his chair. "Did you really just change that guy's talent?" Philip asked. He is still in a pretty shocked state. From what he remembered about Stone's condition, that guy is the worst person to be nurtured. He doesn't have an ounce of talent and he doesn't know when to give up.

Even if he was nurtured, a lot of resources would go to waste and a lot of time will be wasted as well. Time might not be that valuable in this cultivated world where people lived for centuries. However, for a person like Sam and many other talents in the Dusk organization, time is one of the most valuable resources.

Even with a lifespan that almost seemed infinite, it would break his heart if he saw them waste their time, particularly when he knew clearly what they could have accomplished in that time span.

"Yeah, that is exactly what I did," Sam answered.

"Then doesn't that mean, everyone in the Desolate and our other organizations start getting their bodies enhanced like this?" Watt asked.

He is asking this because, better than anyone else, he knew how many people Dusk has been fostering. Everyone is contributing based on their capabilities after they took help from Dusk, however, sometimes he felt that his friend Sam who owns the Dusk is at the short end of the deal here.

Sam provides world-class facilities for them. Many Astral Plane cultivators that have better talent wouldn't even get to use those facilities in their lifetime. In fact, even Sam and the trio didn't experience some of their facilities when they were in Mortal Plane, however, the new orphans or students they are nurturing are getting these facilities.

However, no matter how good they are, a lot of them are barely able to reach the Consummate realm because of their talent caps. Some of them are barely able to reach Astral Plane Initiation, even with the current level enhancements.

If they could really enhance their talents, then at least they could get more returns.

However, Watt is bound to be disappointed.

"Not really, the research right now is still at the stage of infancy. You can consider Stone as a Prototype. His conditions are unique, he is way too stubborn even for such a weak soul, his will and endurance to pain are very high.

Without a person who has surgical capabilities like me, it will be impossible to recreate this result at the moment.

However, if the research is taken further, then maybe, we could mass produce the results. Even if they didn't match this standard, they would still be pretty good.

Still, continuing this research might not be an ideal situation for us at this moment."

Sam then explained the warning he got from Ling Tian.

They discussed some more, they are disappointed by the fact that they could not produce the same results, however, they are very satisfied by what Sam had achieved until now. Even they felt that among all the things Sam made happen, this sits a cut above the rest.

And in actuality, Sam really didn't think about increasing the talent level of the Dusk. In a way, he too believed that creating talent with artificial cores and transforming genes is not ideal. It will make the current cultivation level obsolete. People will stop comprehending what this nature has to offer and will fall into the research of these genes.

He doesn't want that. At least not now.

Right now, he just wants to deal with gods and there is much more destructive and evil in his mind, which is trying to refrain himself from creating.

He is wondering what would be the consequence of creating it? What could it bring to this world, how much would it anger the nature and the will of this world.

Ever since Ling Tian mentioned it, he is a little tempted to find out. But when he imagined the destruction that could bring, he sighed.

Maybe, it is better to not create it and he has to make sure his thoughts on this matter are protected at all costs.

If someone like Sivan really tries to take over his mind… There is a great possibility that the world as they knew it might cease to exist….
