Chapter 2060 Stone's Prowess
Dean of the Zeus Academy looked at Stone in shock, while the rest of the spectators including the other Deans looked at him in shock.
"Excuse me."
Dean said after coming back to his senses as he sat back down. He didn't offer any explanation and he didn't want to. He looked at Sam who is also looking at him with a smile. He saw Stone leaving with Sam that day.
He saw that they spoke something, however, he didn't care. When Sam took Stone in, he thought he might have done that to spite the Zeus Academy, even though it didn't make sense.
In short, he didn't care much for Stone and didn't think much about what would come out of the situation when Sam took him under his wing.
However, now the same worthless and talentless guy is attacking one of the elites of his own academy and he showcased the abilities that he didn't even think of.
Right now, he saw that during the collision of fists, as soon as they made contact, the gatekeeper's attack has dispersed mostly. He wasn't able to hold the energy together to create the damage. However, the stone's energy was not only concentrated and refined, it was also very precise.
It created the perfect impact as if the bone and the muscles in his body were designed to throw a perfect punch and create perfect damage.
He couldn't put a finger on what made it the perfect punch. The motion of the fist? The movement of the muscles? The impact? The energy circulation? Or maybe everything is combined together. It is like the body morphed itself into delivering the perfect punch.
As if that is not enough the final visual he had through his spiritual sense made him stand up in shock.
The energy dispersed from the Gatekeeper's fist was actually attracted into the pores of Stone, making him absorb part of it.
So, Stone managed to recover almost half of the energy that he used to throw that punch. Basically, he is fighting and recovering at the same time. This is ridiculous.
Sam chuckled at the Dean's exaggerated reaction.
He is enjoying it while his friends are watching this in awe. They knew Stone's situation. They understood it clearly and they even saw it a few times. However, the Stone they saw right now, is not the stone they knew.
While people in the know were lost in thoughts, the battle continued.
Stone showed a remarkable improvement in skills. He didn't use any weapon and only relied on his punches. His speed, agility, and strength, are in perfect sync and didn't even seem like a skill, it is almost like his body cannot produce any bad moves.
Sam looked at his own creation in absolute delight.
He created weapons of mass destruction.
He created machines that could basically give him unlimited wealth.
He built things that could make the realms bow down.
However, changing the fate of one cultivator who was doomed since birth, made him feel happy. The sense of pride he got was nothing like before.
Exactly three minutes later Stone made short work of his opponent. The second gatekeeper took the stage.
Stone looked at Sam who tapped the table twice.
Stone nodded and the energy circulated rapidly within his body. Everyone could see that his body is changing a bit. His lean muscles seemed to have grown very slightly and he even looked a bit taller. He didn't make a move forward and just waited for the other party to come forward.
The second gatekeeper swung his spear at Stone.
However, when the spear hit him, it didn't pierce Stone. The gatekeeper felt as if he hit something made out of rubber. Stone's body bent a little bit backward because of the force of the spear, but that is.
Even the energy that burst out of the spear during the impact was channeled away from his body and even took that movement to his advantage and moved to the side.
His movements are a bit slower than usual, but he is a lot more flexible and when the opponent is dancing with his spear, all Stone does is move around, making his body twist and turn in impossible angles. He just circled around the opponent in the range that was most beneficial to the opponent and as everyone watched he dropped to the floor and slid between the opponent's legs with his face up.
His legs moved from underneath. Soon, his whole body was up except for his shoulders, and his feet caught a hold of the opponent's neck from behind in an impossible choke.
*BAM*
Stone pulled the opponent back by his neck and slammed the back of his head onto the stage. In that one single motion, he stood up and stomped on the head so hard it went through the stage and raised the legs of the opponent in an incline.
Everyone could almost feel the pain of the guy.
Bronte who got challenged is feeling a bit nervous now. He could see that Stone is… Weird. The movements, the body's sudden change, it almost seemed unnatural and weirdly and unbelievably natural at the same time.
When the third gatekeeper stepped up, Sam tapped the table three times.
The third one is a Fire user and a warrior-mage. This is one of the better opportunities to see what this third variation of Stone's abilities could do.
Stone closed his eyes for a couple of seconds and concentrated on his Divine energy.
It circulated rapidly within his highly enhanced circulatory network and the cores, his internal organs are also functioning at a higher pace. Then everyone noticed that the energy surrounding his body was glowing.
Soon he looked like he was emitting lights out of his pore with that glowing energy. It is like the glowing needles have come out of his pores. His muscles became denser.
His skin almost shrunk and everyone could almost see the outline of each fiber of his muscle.
His skin reddened a bit.
The opponent saw this transformation and gulped nervously. He didn't even want to get close. Flames roared and many flaming spears were shot at Stone.
Stone kicked the ground and lunged forward leaving a crater behind. He jumped and kicked a spear with the side of his foot and the spear exploded like a firecracker. It did nothing to him as he moved forward.
Stone didn't even bother dodging a single fire attack that came at him. He is fast enough to do it, but he didn't. Instead, he chopped them with his palm or kicked them out of his path. They exploded like firecrackers while providing little resistance to him.
The opponent was flustered and decided to shoot a continuous jet of flames.
However, Stone opted for the same strategy. He swung his arm in a back-hand slapping motion and the energy seemed to react to his wishes. A palm condensed out of the energy and it is ten times the size of an actual palm.
It hit the jet which was diverted to the side.
When another jet came, Stone jumped kicked through it, and landed his leg right on the opponent's head.
*CRACK*
The audience could hear a crack. The skull split open and he started bleeding. The only saving grace is that he wasn't killed instantly as the nearest healer jumped on the stage and saved his life. Stone flexed his muscles a bit and looked at Bronte.
"I…" He was about to say something, however, he held it back and paused for a couple of minutes.
"Not today, but we will meet each other later."
He stepped off the stage forfeiting the match. He was about to walk out of the place before he turned to the Dean's table.
"Tell her, I came back reborn and I will be coming for her. And no one. Absolutely no one will be able to stop me."
He walked out.
The Dean of the Zeus Academy felt conflicted. He looked at the Elder and gestured for him to do some research on Stone as well.
He needs some answers and a part of him told that Sam would have them all. However, he didn't want to believe that Sam indeed does have those answers. After all, the change in Stone is something only gods can achieve.
He doesn't want to believe that Sam, a mortal that was being toyed around by the gods did something that accomplished something that only a god can.
While the dean was lost in his own thoughts, the rest of the ceremony went without any more hiccups. Sam's goal of making his friends and Stone debut in this world has been achieved. The commotion is not too much and it wasn't too small either.
It is just enough for his plans to work smoothly.
After the ceremony was concluded, Sam walked back to his dorm. He and his friends are going to meet up later. So, he needs to show everyone that he went back into his dorm and then sneak out.
