Chapter 2059 Stone

Ling Tian looked at Sam with a defeated expression.

He knew something like this would happen, when Sam asked him about the details. Because Sam never wasted any information that was eagerly gained. However, what he didn't expect is that this is not the end.

In fact, the main course is yet to come.

By now, the Deans gestured for their elders who went ahead and gave some instructions to the seniors. They are all trying to get any information they can about this mysterious group of people. They are all following the same pattern.

They did the same thing.

The only difference is they have different powers. What they did is a flashy and eye-catching thing. If only one or two did it, they would have brushed it off as some genius showing off their own strength against the freshmen geniuses of the Academies.

Mostly for bragging rights.

However, there are five people and there could be an organization at play here.

They already have the Flaming skulls to deal with. Even though for the past couple of weeks the activities reduced a bit, they are still going on at a smaller scale. Now, if another group comes up….

They have to suspect that there is some much bigger play going on in the Academy realm and prepare for any possible bad situation.

While the Deans and the rest are in their own thoughts, the finale came.

Stone stood up from the group and appeared on the stage. He pointed at Bronte. The one who actually got challenged the most in this ceremony. Bronte wasn't surprised. In fact, he is more surprised by the fact that he wasn't challenged even more.

Some people have the balls to challenge the higher rankers, even though they have a higher probability of losing.

The Zeus Academy students in the spectators looked at each other. After some discussion among themselves, three people stood up. Bronte is surprised when he sees them. They are the people of the Noble League.

It is unexpected to him.

Christos looked at him and gestured to him. Bronte understood what he was trying to convey. Christos is telling him not to worry. This is also unexpected for him. In the Noble League, he was usually treated as a lackey, a burden and he wasn't valued or respected.

The only reason he even got a chance to enter the special training program with Hub and Joker is because he was treated as an experiment. In Christos' opinion, it doesn't matter what happens to Bronte. If there is any improvement, then he could finally make use of Bronte. If there isn't and even if there are any side effects completely destroying the future prospects of Bronte, it is still the same.

Christos will even feel that Bronte was finally useful. He would have been useful in finding out a real problem.

That is Bronte's significance in the noble league in a nutshell.

However, with Bronte's current achievements, his evaluation has significantly increased in Christos' mind. Now, Bronte is someone deserving of the Noble League.

The current freshmen are a pack of monsters. Any of the current rankers in the Olympian region that got a place in the top ten of the freshman tournament would have been the rulers of an era in the Academic realm.

However, now a bunch of them come together and they are aiming for each other's throats.

Even in that era, Bronte managed to lock in the tenth place. He is now Christos' focus. And he didn't believe the whole credit completely goes to Hub and Joker. After all, he sent two candidates, while the other one also got some significant improvement and didn't fare that badly in the regional tournament, Bronte outdid himself by a large margin.

That means Bronte had the talent all along, only Joker managed to bring it out. Now, Christos is going to improve the strength of the Olympian Noble League using him.

This is what he thought and he wholeheartedly believed he could achieve it.

So, he sent out three freshmen from the Noble league giving out his assurance to Bronte.

Stone looked at the first gatekeeper before turning his gaze to the Dean of the Zeus Academy.

At this moment, the Dean of Zeus Academy felt like his eyes were playing tricks on him. If not for the fact that he is sure of his cultivation level and mental state, he would have believed someone was playing an illusion on him.

He even rubbed his eyes in disbelief as he started Stone.

He remembered Stone like the back of his hand.

The Miner-Slave who came crawling to the Zeus Academy's steps, the one who wept like a child to see his niece for one time. The one who was so insignificant in terms of talent of strength that it was even hard for him to bring out some empathy for him, that same person is standing in front of the rest.

"Are you part of that group as well?"

The first gatekeeper asked.

Stone shook his head.

"I don't know them. However, I like what they are doing, so I decided to do the same."

The Dean of Zeus Academy finally came to his senses and observed Stone. He was dazed because of the familiar face which shouldn't have been in this place. Now only he noticed the changes.

Stone's height increased a bit, and his body became leaner, but more muscular at the same time. His aura is refined unlike before and there is this otherworldly feeling from it. It almost felt like an aura that shouldn't exist in this world. The feeling only increased when he noticed the energy emitted by Stone.

It is the energy of a Divine Plane Initiation cultivator. This created an explosion in his head.

"H… How?"

He muttered. He is in confusion. In fact, confusion is an understatement. This is challenging his worldview.

He knew more about Stone than most people think. His prideful brother handed over the case of dealing with Jade's love to him. In fact, he fought for it. Because he knew his brother wouldn't show any mercy to Stone.

He guided Pearl and separated Jade and Stone.

He knew about Stone's constitution, cultivation level, the abnormalities he suffered from cultivating crudely. He is sure that even if the Zeus Academy utilized everything it had in him, he still wouldn't have amounted to anything.

That was his impression, he was sure that he wasn't wrong.

But the one in front of him is brimming with life and strength. There are no anomalies. At first sight, the body looked perfect. As if it was designed to fight.

"What's your name?"

The first gatekeeper asked.

"Stone."

"What kind of fucking name is that? Did your parents hate you or something? Or are you a bastard child that was abandoned by everyone and put the first name that you can find."

Stone didn't react to the provocation. He just looked at the opponent welcoming him to start the fight.

A pair of gauntlets appeared on the opponent's hands and he lunged forward. Stone's energy riled up, but it appeared very composed to the people who are sensing it. It covered his body and they could see his muscles becoming dense.

The contraction in the muscle fibers is clearly shown by the movement of the muscles. Dean of the Zeus Academy just kept his focus on Stone, he didn't even bother to check the opponent or the surroundings, his cultivation which is way too superior gave him a clear view of the energy around Stone's body.

He wanted to see how he was manipulating that energy. He would very much like to check the insides, however even at his cultivation level, he can at most sense the elemental nature, which is pretty much doable by any skilled person. For the insides, he has to check it personally with a physical touch or needs to use a special ability to examine things.

For now, he can only be satisfied with external examination and even that is shocking.

He noticed that the energy accumulation on the surface of Stone's skin was rapid. Normally it is only a blink of an eye for any cultivator at that stage, but Stone's appeared especially faster.

*BOOM*

The two fists collided.

The opponent who thought that he could overpower the opponent suddenly felt shocked. In the instant the fist connected, he felt an unimaginable force pulling his energy away from the fist, as if that was not enough, Stone's fist was like a cannonball hitting him at point-blank range.

He could feel the muscles in his fist and the hand tearing apart and the bones going through a fracture. When he tried to gather his energy to cushion the blow, he figured out, that he wasn't able to.

The same force once again, dispersed his energy and pulled it away from the fist.

Stone stood still as he looked at his own fist in a daze.

He clearly felt the blow, he put a lot of energy into it, he didn't feel as drained as he should feel, he experienced this before as well and he grinned in joy after confirming this in a real battle.

*CLANG*

Everyone heard the sound of a metal hitting the ground. Of course, little attention would have been attracted by it, if not for the fact the sound came from the table of Deans.
