Chapter 2035 Without a Blow
Noah and Thor are currently facing each other.
Now that only Sam is left as a common enemy, Thor is obviously vigilant. He still doubted that Noah might side with Sam and betray him. Of course, he is partially true.
"Let's go and deal with Sam. We can figure out who is the winner among us after that."
Thor proposed directly.
Noah looked in a certain direction and said.
"No need to go anywhere, I think Sam is going to your base as we speak."
Thor was stunned and contacted his teammates and they indeed observed some movement within the surrounding forests around them because of some trap formations. Thor looked at Noah and asked.
"As expected, you betrayed me?"
"Not really. If you think about it, I only talked about the cooperation until the rest of the contestants are gone and I said we will think about Sam afterward.
This is afterward and Sam seems to only hold a deep grudge against you.
I am happy with the second place to the Aranya Academy. After all, we rarely get this far in combat competitions. The only saving grace you have is that I am not going to interfere in between your fight. You can try your luck with him yourself."
Thor didn't want to believe her.
However, Noah just turned around and went back to her base. Thor suddenly got a communication token alert from his base.
"Thor, Sam is here. He is standing in front of our base without doing anything. He told me to call you here ASAP."
Thor gritted his teeth and ran to the base.
Blue lightning crackled wildly as he activated fusion and moved at his top speed. Within no time he is in front of his base and he could see Sam just standing there as if he is just sightseeing.
He held his hammer tightly and threw it toward Sam.
It flew at an incredible speed destroying everything in the path, but Sam just side-stepped casually and extended his hand to catch the hammer by its handle.
*BOOM*
Blue lightning exploded everywhere and Sam just stood there with the hammer in his hand. The surrounding area is charred, the vegetation is destroyed and there is even a sizeable crater. Only the vegetation under Sam's feet and half a foot radius around him was saved from that blast.
Sam was intrigued by the weapon.
It was crafted with great precision and it was the exact replica of Thor's hammer. At least in terms of looks.
Sam started examining it before the hammer flew back to Thor.
"How much of a copycat are you?
Your name is the same, your hairstyle is the same, the armor style is the same and you even want to talk like him. Now even the weapon?
At least if you want to imitate him learn about the weapon a bit more. What is that piece of crap in your hands?"
Sam asked with a gloomy expression. He is disappointed and this makes Thor furious.
"Shut the fuck up. What the fuck does an abomination who follows Gambler know?"
"Abomination? That's a bit too far buddy. Particularly, when the abomination is already pissed off."
"Yeah? Then why don't you take it out on the one who pissed you off? Likhma was the one who planned the attack and led people to you, but I don't see you going after Aranya's Academy. Guess Pillow talk is the way to negotiate with the high and mighty Sam who never listens to anyone."
Sam didn't respond, he just raised an eyebrow and looked at him.
"What? Cat got your tongue?" Thor continued as he sent some signals to his teammates.
Sam sighed and said.
"You just made yourself a really great enemy, dude. For what you said, you are going to have a spear shoved in your ass by someone really nasty. And I am not the one who is going to do it.
As far as Likhma is concerned, don't try to insult my intelligence. I know who pulled the strings behind him. He revealed it himself, so before I strip you of your dignity, take this advice.
Never use a weak pawn to do your dirty deeds when you are directly involved in orchestrating it. They will spill the beans if things don't work out. Like Likhma did.
I can give you some classes if you need them."
Thor's face is red with anger and he lunges at Sam.
Sam activated partial lightning fusion and slipped as he dodged the heavy swings of the hammer. He didn't even block or deflect. He didn't counterattack either, he just slipped and dodged like a slippery loach.
Thor got frustrated and gestured for his teammates. They activated every possible formation they could and joined in the battle. Sam still didn't retaliate. He just danced around and among those many lightnings of these Thor Academy students, his silver lightning looked dazzling.
It's a flash that appeared and disappeared at its will.
After ten minutes Sam is standing near the formation of the base. He is the closest one to the flag.
"Fight me, You coward."
Thor yelled at Sam.
Sam jumped into the air and threw a punch to the formation
*BOOM*
With just one punch, the formation started fluctuating and silver lightning energy invaded the whole thing. It almost appeared like silver cracks on the formation.
Thor instantly attacked Sam from behind, but once again Sam slipped.
*BOOM*
He attacked the formation on the other side. The cracks intensified. He slipped once again and...
*BOOM*
The formation was destroyed. One layer of defense is gone.
The Thor Academy students could only watch. They couldn't do a single thing against Sam. No matter what they try, they are unable to corner Sam. They couldn't use the terrain much as they were in an open field.
Sam is just toying with them.
And that realization couldn't be truer. Sam just danced around and kept on attacking the formation.
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*
The explosive sounds and the silver flashes were extremely eye-catching.
"IS RUNNING ALL YOU CAN DO? COME AND FIGHT ME LIKE A MAN."
Thor kept on yelling to provoke Sam, but it didn't work at all. Sam was stoic as he destroyed one layer after another.
The teams tried their best to defend the formations, which is ironic because the formations are supposed to be the ones defending them and the flag.
As time passed, Sam destroyed every formation they laid down. Only the team surrounded the flag and looked at Sam coldly. Some of them are levitating and some of them are on the ground, Thor is hanging on top of the flag.
They didn't want to let Sam take the flag away that easily.
By now, they kind of understood what Sam is trying to do and they didn't want let him succeed. It would make them look like utter fools if he did so. However, they didn't know that their efforts were futile.
Sam who was in partial fusion until now activated complete fusion.
He turned into a silver streak and went through a tiny gap before they could even react and left from the other side with the flag.
He gave a smirk to Thor and just turned into the silver streak as he traveled in a straight line toward the Gambler base.
"AFTER HIM. CATCH THAT FUCKER. WE CANNOT LET HIM WIN. USE EVERYTHING YOU GOT. IF ANY OF YOU BASTARDS HOLD BACK ANYTHING, I WILL KILL YOU."
Thor yelled and activated complete fusion as well. His bloodline is also activated as he ran after Sam.
The lightning streaks destroyed the whole area. Every tree in their bath is charred, they left craters everywhere they stepped. The destruction they caused, might not let a single blade of grass sprout there for years.
They ran through the whole test area and throughout the journey, the Thor team is right on Sam's heels, but no matter how much they tried, they couldn't catch Sam. He is just there but is unreachable at the same time.
Before they knew it, they are Gambler's Base and Sam jumped right into the formation. But the Thor team couldn't. The water in the lake shot up and created a transparent wall around the lake area. Sam looked at them while he deactivated his fusion.
"FUCK"
Thor yelled and started bashing his hammer at the water barrier.
The shock of the attack is being rippled throughout the barrier causing barely any damage. Even when the rest of the team tried to attack the formation, they could barely cause fluctuations. They broke it down after two minutes.
Sam only took a step back and another barrier appeared blocking them.
Sam waved his hand and slowly went to the center while Thor constantly bashed the formation while screaming.
"STOP. YOU BLOODY FUCKER. COME AND FACE ME. BE A MAN."
Sam merged the flag with the Gambler Academy Flag and waved his hand. The water barrier disappeared and it turned into a giant middle finger.
Thor Academy students despaired as they disappeared from the test area.
Sam just defeated one of the seeded candidate teams without landing a single blow on them.
