Chapter 2034 Last Three
The news of Hel's Team disqualification spread like wildfire.
Sam didn't make it subtle to begin with. So, some people from other teams witnessed how he toyed with them. He could have easily killed them, but he chose to humiliate them. He was provocative and disrespectful.
They understood that this was Sam taking revenge and none of them were dumb enough to think that they were not going to be victims of it.
So, apart from worrying about the beasts and the other teams, now they have to worry about Sam also.
They initially called a truce until noon. They wanted to gather as many resources as possible until then and only attack each other after that. So, as of now, they are still working together. That might be the only reason that they shared the information about Sam's deeds.
However, everyone has an angle of their own regarding this.
This might be a threat, but they also smelled some opportunity from this. All bases went into defense mode instantly. Sam who finished the Hel Academy and delivered the gains to the base came back to the central area.
After thinking it over for a bit, he picked the next target and this time he didn't go alone.
On his way there, the next beast spawned and he decided to take it as his companion for the next battle. He lured the beast to the base of his next target and unleashed it on their formation. This base also has eight people, so it is not easy for the beast to deal with all of them.
The only problem is Sam is there to disrupt the flow.
He created some chaos and let them clash with the beast. Just when they were about to gain the upper hand, they heard another roar. Sam lured another beast to their base and this time he didn't go back again.
He activated a partial fusion form with lightning elements and started bashing them with Javelins from afar. He is not doing much, he is not even attacking them directly. He just disrupts their plans to attack the beasts and letting the beasts overwhelm them.
Once again, he is playing with them.
Soon, everyone could see that this base was not going to make it. Particularly, when they saw Sam leave and come back with the third beast after a few minutes. Three beasts are too much for these eight elites.
The formation collapses and the Beasts destroy the team while Sam just stood there and watched. Some of them quit as they almost had their lives taken and some fell unconscious. Two of the three beasts are severely injured.
Sam decided to deal with the three of them and started the battle. It wouldn't take much effort from him. Right when he was about to kill the third one, he saw someone from the corner of his eye.
That person blended with the shadows and stole the flag away, before disappearing into the shadows within the forest.
Sam chopped the head of the beast and collected the rewards from them. He looked in the direction the guy left as his energy vision activated.
Meanwhile, inside the forest, the guy who stole the flag ran in the shadows. He is currently in shadow fusion mode and is moving within the shadows to reach their base. He kept on looking behind to see if Sam would be there.
Soon, he arrived at the foot of a mountain.
The base is on top of it. He could levitate and reach the top of the mountain, but he knew better than to reveal his location out in the open. He started scaling the mountain through the shadows. On top of the mountain, the area is very small.
It is half the size of a basketball court and right now the rest of the team members are standing there waiting for their teammates to come. Just when they noticed their teammate is just a few meters away from them, all of a sudden, a huge cloud of shadow energy appeared in the path.
Sam came out of the shadow energy and kicked the companion straight in the face.
*BOOM*
With a huge explosive sound, the candidate fell off the mountain and to his bad luck he was kicked to the steep side where he couldn't even catch some footing. Even if he could, it is not going to be easy.
Sam gave a look to the rest of the members and went after the candidate falling down.
The team on top of the hill started hearing explosive sounds and their hearts trembled.
"We need to save him."
They came to a decision and jumped off the mountain to save their companion. Long story short, Sam flew to the top of the mountain after fifteen minutes and collected the formation nodes as well as the flag.
He went back to the Gambler Base and gave the nodes to the team and merged the flag with the Gambler Academy's.
Time passed.
Sam is like a menace. He just went on and on with his antics as he disrupted the operations of the rest of the teams. Of course, they couldn't just stay put in their bases. Sam is destroying them and they need to score some points in front of the judges.
If they really lost without doing anything, things wouldn't look good to the rest of the world.
And just like that, there is a massive war atmosphere between the teams. Sam finally sat back and enjoyed a bit as he watched them tear each other apart. The truce that was made initially to stop until noon, was up in smoke.
Of course, he didn't leave the opportunity to create more chaos in between. The only team that was exempt from this scenario is the Gambler Academy.
They are the only ones with all ten members in their team.
Nine of them are on the defense with formations that went way past the lake where they are currently staying at. The surrounding forest area is also in their complete control and this Gambler Academy team is best at working together.
They even had a chance to prove that when a team came at them to launch a massive attack.
The whole team moved and hung them like meat at a butcher shop. Sam caught the news and went to deal with the team's base and catch the flag.
But when he went there, he saw a familiar face.
Noah is standing there with the flag in her hands.
"I see that you are moving alone as well," Sam spoke with a smile.
"Of course, with all the shit you stirred, I thought this would be a better thing to do."
"Since you are not here, what about your team, what if someone attacks your base."
"I am counting on it."
"Okay then, I would like that flag you are holding." He changed the topic with a smile.
Noah tightened her grip on the flag and smirked as well.
"I don't really want to."
"Come on, you wanted to keep a low profile and I didn't come after your team because you are there. You also owe me a favor with that Likhma guy."
Noah thought for a moment and broke out with a wide smile and said.
"Nah, I still don't want to give it you."
"I thought you were keeping a low profile. If I need to take it away from you, you are going to reveal your power."
"How about I cut you a deal?"
"What is it?"
"I will get rid of the rest of the teams and merge the flags. I will leave the Thor Academy team for you to deal with.
I am sure I cannot win with you here, so leave me the second place. We need a decent performance. You know, I have my own plans. I need to some influence within my academy to achieve that."
Sam thought for a moment and said.
"Alright, you better not try to pull anything over me."
"I should be saying that you. I don't know what you might be thinking with that oversmart brain of yours."
Sam didn't respond and left the place.
Noah went back to her base and their teammates were honestly a bit surprised. They didn't expect her succeed bringing the flag when they knew Sam was going there.
Noah then led the team to make an alliance with Thor from Thor's Academy.
They discussed in secret without the rest of the teammates present on either side. After listening to her plan, Thor nodded and said.
"There is only one thing. You and Sam seem to be very close. How come you are not collaborating with him?"
"He doesn't need a collaboration. As for whether you can trust me or not. That is up to you to decide. You have to bear the consequences."
Thor thought for a moment as he looked at Noah's smile. He gritted his teeth and agreed.
Within five minutes, Noah and Thor are leading their teams
together to destroy the remaining bases.
A little past noon and almost all the bases are cleared up. A couple of hours later only three bases remained. Gambler, Hel and Thor.
