Chapter 2017 Domination
White travelled at his top speed and his energy detection worked wonders.
In the previous matches, his participation was minimal. He didn't do much at all. But now he decided to go all out. Of course, not in the sense of using his trump cards. But he will think of all possible ways to defeat Gambler's academy.
Unlike solo combat, team combat wouldn't send multiple teams from the same region.

Jack looked at the way White danced in air trying to avoid being roasted by those flames and asked.
"Don't you think those recoil hits seem familiar?"

"Yeah, it seems like an upgraded version of ripple style."
"The way White acted around Sam, maybe he did have a connection but we just don't know this yet? Even though the fight style is different, I can imagine that if Sam has that recoil style or whatever it is, he would have fought similarly."

The trio didn't know what to think of it. Jack thought of something and he spoke.
"I will be back in a couple of minutes. I think we need to confirm a few things. We might need the help our team members."
"You need us to come?"

"No, I can handle it. We need not involve ourselves in this. Until the finals are over, we would be under public eye. Let Night Ghost handle this, since he is going to stay here. And I don't think he would need to put much effort. As long as I have answers to few questions, my suspicions can be confirmed."
Jack left and went to talk to Night Ghost.
"What do you need me to do Jack?" Night Ghost asked with a respectful tone. The rest of the team are fine with the trio, they got along as friends, but Night Ghost is a bit old school.
If the trio are equal to Sam, then they are his superiors.
"First, tell me where the rest of the team are placed one by one.

Jack came back with a smile after he got all the answers he needed. Looking at his relieved and cheerful face the other two asked.
"So, I guess everything went well, based on your expressions."
"Yeah, everything is perfectly alright. I am looking forward to the rest of our plans."

After twenty minutes, White finally got some much needed information on the formation, before left.
On his way back, he took out three people on the Gambler's academy offensive team. He went to Pearl and rest of the camp to discuss their strategy. There isn't much to talk about. White already took out three people.
He already has information about the defensive formation. Only three people on offensive and his plan is to take them out on their way.
They decided to keep three people for defense and they have placed a formation they bought from Hub at a very high price. They are confident and marched forward.
Their plan had an amazing start.
They managed to nail down two more opponents.
The spectators all believed the Zeus academy is going to take the cake on this one. Zeus academy team thought so as well. They decided to go with complete domination. White even went to hunt down the last offensive member while the rest went forward.
The Gambler's academy defensive team found out the situation from their last remaining offensive member and started getting anxious.
"We are going to have a hard time if White really understood the workings of our formation. We might not be able to handle six combat specialists if they are attacking our weak points in the formations. We need to think of something."
As they were thinking, they lost contact with the offensive team. They also noticed the offensive team of Zeus academy is there. Pearl looked at the flag viciously.
"Attack the points White mentioned about. Don't give them a chance to counter."
White floated in the air as he showed the spots to attack. The formation is bombarded by the attacks. Soon a couple of layers of the formation were destroyed.
When the Gambler's team was about to counter attack, White yelled.
"Now."
Immediately the whole offensive team shuffled from their positions. The attacks from the formation missed.
White is handling the energy detection to figure the attack timing. The Gambler's academy is done for. One after the other layers collapsed.
When the Gambler's team was on verge of despair, they heard a voice.
"Hold on for three more minutes."
They recognized this voice and they were surprised.
Everyone's focus was on the formation. They watched as the Zeus academy team tortured the Gambler's academy team. Even though this Is not a fast match by any means, this is a dominating one for sure.
But the next moment the spectators noticed something.
Sam who is hiding in the shadows appeared all of a sudden and stood in front of White in the air.
"You guys are having a party, I hope you don't mind if I crash it."
For a moment attacks stopped. Everyone including Pearl all focused on Sam.
"Don't stop. Finish it off. I will handle him. He cannot turn the tide now."
White said confidently.
Sam is calm. There is not a hint of anxiety on his face.
"I like your confidence. I can't wait to destroy it."
"You wish."
"I don't wish for anything White. I just make it happen. All it needs is my desire. And unfortunately for you, I desire to win."
White felt a huge energy movement. He took his cane and got ready to make a move, but he was too late.
Shadow energy swarmed Sam. He looked like he was being swallowed by it.
By the time White made his move, Sam is not there. He disappeared along with the darkness of shadow energy.
The next moment, Sam arrived right in front of the Zeus academy's defensive camp. Everyone is shocked.
White noticed this and yelled at his team.
"Increase your strength. Full power."
He then shot towards his defensive camp.
The defensive team of Zeus academy noticed this and one of them yelled. You cannot play any tricks. This formation will not be broken easily and White would be here before you make your first dent.
Sam didn't bother to listen. He pulled his fist back and lightning energy gathered. Silver lightning concentrated over his hand and as if to give a reaction to that, the formation around the flag started cracking lightning.
Sam punched the formation.
*BOOM*
A huge explosive noise and a wave of lightning energy hit the surroundings. His silver lightning injected into the formation network. The purple formation lit up revealing its energy network as a whole and everyone could see the silver lightning cracking the whole thing up.
In the next second, the formation collapsed with a large quake of earth.
Sam took the flag and turned around. White right there.
"As I said, all it takes is my desire and it will happen. No one can stop it."
Sam once again disappeared into shadows along with the flag.
Pearl noticed this and screamed.
"FULL POWER. YOU BASTARDS. DON'T YOU DARE HOLD ANYTHING BACK. I NEED THAT FLAG NOW."
She yelled crazily.
The team did as they were told. They didn't want to deal with hysterical Pearl.
*BOOM*
The formation was destroyed and three Gambler academy members fell down exhausted. Pearl jumped up to capture the flag.
*PAK*
Her hand was swatted away by Sam who just appeared with a puff of black smoke.
Pearl fell backward with despair apparent in her eyes. Sam gave her a look of disregard and merged the flags.
Gambler's academy won the team competition.
