Chapter 2010 Bone Transformation
Pearl almost collapsed on the spot.
Sam spilling out her plans right in front of her face when she was already drowning in doubts is the last thing she needed. She was so used to everything going in her way. Now she cannot digest this.
White and Vidyut of course also heard all of this.
Vidyut almost wanted to laugh out loud when he saw Pearl's reaction. He wondered what she would do when she found out the depth of Sam's plans. After all, compared to his complex and elaborate schemes, Pearl appeared like a little kid playing adult in front of an old wise man.
They are not even in the same league.
She is impressive no doubt, but are her plans as elaborate as Sivan who managed to steal Sam's body? Sam could his ass with a non-existent leg at that time. Pearl is child's play compared to that.
If only Pearl knew that one of the confidants she is trusting is one of Sam's most trusted subordinates.
Sam didn't care about what happened in the tournament anymore.
Even the unfinished fight with White was thrown to the back of his head.
It is time to progress with some other plan. The plan to rebuild Stone.
Sam's work on Stone has been delayed, but it was not without any progress. For the past few weeks, Stone only focused on increasing his muscular strength. Sam's customized training regimen, highly effective energy environment, and nutritional resources are specifically concocted to enhance his muscle fibers.
Stone never felt this strong in his entire life.
He felt so strong that he believed he could kill his past self in a fraction of a second. Previously, he thought he already hit the limit of what his body could achieve, but Sam showed him that there was still a new limit that he had yet to reach.
Sam examined his body and nodded.
"This is good. Your muscles are finally strong enough. I think we can proceed with the next surgery to enhance your body."
"What kind of surgery would this be?"
"This is a long one that takes place in many stages. I am going to Transform your Bone and Marrow.
Stone was stunned.
"Did I hear you right?"
"Why are you asking? Do you have a hearing problem?"
"But Bone and Marrow Transformation? How is this possible?"
"Stop asking stupid questions. Do you even know the concept of soul surgery before? You successfully underwent one. So just nod, grit your teeth, endure your pain, and enjoy the change."
Stone hesitated a bit before smiling widely and asked.
"But still, can you just explain how it works? I am really curious."
"In this, the bone transformation is very simple. I am going to use a very special alloy that I made by combining meteorite sand and other metals. This gives the metal strength and evolves with time and spiritual energy.
I won't go into too many details but just know that all your bones will change and turn into this metal. This is part of my new research.
As for the marrow part, that is going to take some time. Simply put, I am going to use the genes of a strong bloodline that has great effects of physical strengthening. I will use the marrow sample from that bloodline and introduce it into your marrow along with a very special serum that I made.
I need to do it in stages and let your marrow transform itself into that strong bloodline.
It won't be a complete transformation of course, you would only inherit parts of it, so your physical appearance wouldn't change drastically.
Once the marrow is transformed, we need to excite it and make it create a lot of new blood, you would need to bleed everyday and luckily, I prepared a fight training regiment for you. While you bleed, the new blood will take over the old and soon your whole body will mutate.
Your organs will strength themselves because of this new blood as they adapt to the new strength of your body.
But of course, all of this is still the ground work of the final stage of your transformation."
"What would that be?"
"Giving you a way to grow your strength over time. It is not enough to provide you with these enhancements, you should be able to improve your strength like a normal cultivator. Even if the method is not normal, the growth should be.
It would be very hard to do that though. I do have some ideas and they are very promising. But if I proceed with that procedure directly, your body would explode in three seconds."
Sam explained a few more things and started the procedure. Luckily, the other party didn't ask the detailed explanation on the research and procedure itself.
The bone transformation part is a feat of engineering. Sam got inspired by the Comic book character from back on earth. Of course, he put his own twist and he is using the research he has done on the Giants, Lycans and Shapeshifting demons.
He had studied their genes very extensively and now he is starting to see some results.
Luckily he had a test subject that is in desperate need of these things. Otherwise, Sam would have had to adjust with the simulations. He would never force anyone to be his subject.
But as realistic as the simulation is, the real specimen is the real specimen.
The Bone marrow transformation would be the most difficult thing Sam has ever created in this world. It is not that the result of it is most effective, his research in energy and engineering to use that energy is much more effective and had many applications, in fact that is going to be useful to him in the final stage transformation of Stone.
But the genetic research that involved kind of bends the laws of common sense.
With all the mutations, disgusting experiments and all kinds of things that the people of this world have done until now, they have never managed to transform a person like this. There are forceful mutations, even Five Elemental King is a part of that experimentation, but most of the time it is forceful and unnatural with a lot of side effects.
But when Sam's research bears complete fruit, the possibilities are endless. He gets to rewrite the nature's creation. Talent would just be a thing. But of course, the level of research that he had right now can only change someone like Stone.
Who has willpower and endurance that don't match his talent and physical abilities?
To make it available for common folk would take some time.
Sam cleared his head of all these thoughts. He started the surgery. He held something that looked like a syringe, but it was very big and the needle appeared to be a bit too flexible.
Sam made a very small cut on the back of Stone who slept on the table upside down. He is put into a deep sleep with an anesthetic synthesized by Hydra.
From the hole that didn't even look like a proper injury, Sam let the needle go in. After it reached a certain depth, the needle glowed a bit and it started crawling like a snake as it extended.
It suddenly looked like a thread.
Sam closed his eyes and controlled it before making it dig into the spine of Stone. The Syringe started glowing as the alloy serum that got mixed with the metal and a solution created with the base of the transformative gene being injected into the bone on a molecular level.
Sam didn't dare break his concentration.
This is going to be the toughest surgery he has ever done yet.
While transforming the bone, Sam also has to make sure that the other body parts are functioning normally. They shouldn't be influenced by this and show any adverse reaction. He has to act as a human life support while performing the surgery.
He wished that he had another him to help with this. But this challenge also excited Sam very much.
He engrossed himself in this work.
Meanwhile, back at Zeus Academy.
Pearl is pacing around her house while biting her nails.
While Sam is doing something that will leave a mark in the history of the world, Pearl is worrying that her world has been destroyed. She is imagining that Sam might be thinking of ways to destroy her.
She believed that Sam must have invested his everything into dealing with her plans. She doesn't even know how to react.
And the worst part is, if Sam really gave information to the rest of these people, there is no reaction as of yet. She is nervous about what they are planning against her.
Vidyut looked at the situation and went outside to contact Watt and others.
"Did Sam plan anything else? Or did he just intended to set her tail on fire and leave her alone?"
"No, nothing changed, we just have to do what we have been doing until now. The plan is the same. All you need to do is maintain your rank consistently in the rest of the open tournaments.
And we will see to it that Pearl's mind collapses bit by bit.
We will meet before the official inter-academy freshmen tournament."
