Chapter 1998 Another Attack
Sam is almost at the outskirts of the city. An area which is free of people most of the time. At that time, it is emptier than usual.
He arrived there and took out the glasses that he used earlier and wore them.
He looked around as he waited. He didn't have to wait for long though, because someone made a move soon. A young man fully covered in cloak and mask jumped out of nowhere. He held his fingers like a claw and the tips are growing with wind elemental energy.
Sam dodged the claw as he looked at the opponent with a smile.
At first, he just used his regular means to see if he could figure out the identity of the person.
But the cloak and the suit beneath it is specially designed to hide the body type of the person. Even though he looked like a young man, for all Sam knew, it is a petite goal underneath.
As for the mask, it is even more reinforced. Even with his energy vision, all he could see is that there is energy gathered underneath the mask creating a blur for Sam's senses.
Then with a thought, a drop of energy went into the glasses. The handles of the glasses on either side started glowing with patterns. The glow is very slight and almost ignorable by the others.
But if they knew what that glow signified, then they would have definitely changed their minds. They would have wished they recognized that glow.
As soon as the glasses glowed, Sam could see more than that meets the eyes, senses and even his energy vision.
For others, he is just wearing some weird eye shield made of glass, but Sam could see everything with it. A holographic screen only Sam could see.
And that screen has everything that he needs.
Sam could see the enemy's energy circulation within the meridian network and in turn can see the body structure, he can also see the face. But that didn't stop there, a string of text data appeared on the side.

As the opponent came, Sam just dodged the claw once again and a wind bullet of a very small size was launched out of his finger to target the elbow.

The wind energy rampaged at the node and the broken bone didn't help. It just propelled the destruction and the opponent had to run back in desperation while he tried to control the energy there and stop the bleeding.
At this moment the opponent's companions came out.
Sam gave them a sweeping glance and all the required data popped up on his screen.
They might think that they cornered Sam, but they don't know that all Sam could see are the red, yellow and green dots all over. They are full of weak points that he couldn't wait to exploit.
All of them might have superior cultivation to his, but Sam could see himself winning against them easily.

The opponent didn't mind, in fact he welcomed Sam's presence and when Sam threw the energy capsule, he didn't even bother to dodge, because the capsule flew over his head and it didn't look like much of a threat.

When the capsule started falling after going over him, it exploded. Most of the explosion was targeted at the spine of the guy.
A weak point both physically and an energy node that takes most brunt whenever he attacks, both are there.
The ice elemental energy invaded that place and the attack the opponent was about to throw destabilized before it exploded while still in energy circulation phase.

With a loud and bright flame, both of his arms exploded.
Sam reached him at the exact moment, and threw a full brunt knee kick to the head filled with ice elemental energy and combined with ripple style.
The opponent felt like his cells are being frozen before he fell off to the ground.
One down, nine more to go.
Everything happened in a flash. Not even a few seconds passed since the start of their attack and one of them is already down another one is injured severely with his arm bleeding out crazily.
The team didn't feel so confident anymore.
"Come on, don't stop now. I am just starting to enjoy this."
Sam said as he jumped on to them. Harbinger appeared out of nowhere and hit an opponent from behind, Sam landed a kick on that guy's chest. A pressure point where a lot of energy is gathered. He was once again thrown against the board.
Harbinger made a quick turn as it slashed him in the back. Sam disappeared into the shadows the next moment and appeared somewhere else.
Just when the opponents are distracted by Harbinger's sudden appearance, it dropped a bunch of wind elemental liquid energy capsules before disappearing.
*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*
The capsules are not strong enough, they wouldn't be able to do much damage to these people, and they are not even aimed at critical points, but the sudden change is enough for Sam to make use of it.
He appeared out of the shadows along with a bunch of shadow mice.
The shadow mice moved around based on Sam's directions and marked the weak points of these guys. Now Sam activated shadow fusion as he moved in the shadows provided by the shadow mice and started attacking.
He became the active attacker and the seniors who came to fight him became defensive.
He is like a dancer on a stage performing to the fullest. His wide movements and flashy kicks are full of openings but the seniors are unable to do anything with it. They could see the openings, but before they could reach it, Sam is not even there.
He is busy crippling one of their team members.
The only drawback towards Sam is that it is taking a lot more time this way.
He targeted their weaknesses, but he didn't take critical shots. He dragged the battle a bit and after around thirty minutes later Sam finished it off. There is only one guy standing with injuries all over. His disguise was destroyed and he is on his last legs.
And at that moment, someone is watching this scene a couple of streets away from there. He is none other than Christos. The new business partner, Sam lined up as the Joker.
He is looking at it through the wrist band, his bird puppet is right now hovering over the street where Sam is fighting. The bird is currently using a disguise technique that Christos imprinted on it.
He looked at Sam who is walking slowly towards the last standing senior.
Christos is a bit nervous, he though Sam would start asking some questions and he is afraid the senior would spill the beans, but to his delight, Sam didn't ask any questions. He did a spinning kick to the chin of the opponent and a huge wave of visible shadow energy wave hit the senior.
Sam's whole body is covered in that shadow energy and when it was gone, Sam was gone as well.
Christos frowned and the bird circled a bit checking the surroundings, but the next moment.
"BOO"
