Chapter 1969 Jade
Pearl left the restaurant along with the entourage.
Soon she is in the Zeus academy. Deep inside the academy there is a small estate that is used as a residence for one of the elder instructors who also happened to be Pearl's teacher. And inside that estate within a large stone hall, a beautiful woman is seen dancing.
She is dancing gracefully like a peacock as a few more women played various instruments.
This woman had long black hair. She is not as tall as pearl and could only be considered average and she is not exactly voluptuous either. But she has a different sense of beauty to her. 'Pure' is the word that comes to ones mind when they see her for the first time.
Particularly when she is dancing.
Pearl gestured for the musicians to stop and looked at the young lady who also stopped dancing. Pearl's expression is a mixture of anger, disappointment and exhaustion.
The young lady looked at Pearl and bowed slightly.
"Hello Elder sister. Greetings to you."
She is very polite and her actions couldn't be more respectful, but her eyes said something else. She is showing respect to Pearl's position as the Elder sister, not to pearl herself.
Pearl also is discerning enough to notice this.
"Why are you dancing aimlessly again? How many times do I have to tell you to get over this?"
"I am sorry Elder Sister, but I have to decline this request of yours. You forcefully brought me here from the one I love, the dancing is the only way I could ease my longing a bit. Please do not take it away from me."
"If you want to dance, you can dance, but you cannot dance for him anymore. You can not long for him. You can not dream of him and you can not think of him. You and him are over.
Now you are at the most prestigious demi god academy and with your talent there would be many elders who would show interest in you. You are going to become a Demi god and will touch the boundaries of the god hood.
Hell, you even have a chance to become a god. And all you are doing is whining about how you don't want to be here and how you love that filthy animal of a person."
"Please do not call him an animal."
"What else should I call him? He is a filthy mine rat that carves the stone walls inside mining tunnels. He is a bloody slave. How can you even think of being with him? Don't you have any sense? Even if we don't consider status, we should consider potential.
That bastard doesn't even have any talent whatsoever.

Pearl said in exasperation.
She is a person of high status and so is her sister.
Her father is of course even more so. When he found out about her sister loving a slave, he became furious and almost wanted to kill her.
Pearl had to intervene and save her.
She had that slave more than anything in this world and wanted to kill her. She even sent some of her lackeys to do the deed. But to her surprise that slave is not ordinary, he actually reached the peak of Astral Plane cultivation all by himself.
Without any cultivation, he forcefully expanded his spiritual and tried to change his body, muscle structure and bone structure to become a peak stage cultivator of Astral Plane.
He is very strong even though he didn't have any proper technique. All he knows it how to use some tools that like stone chisels, pick axes and sledge hammers.
At one point Pearl was heartbroken for her sister and tried to give him a miniscule chance. That guy who learned of her sister's arrest at home sneaked in and got caught by Pearl when she examined him.
Along with that, she found out some truths.
Turned out, this slave is actually someone her sister came across when they were kids. He saved her from a small misfortune when they were kids and her sister being the pure one she is kept on visiting him.
Their friendship grew and soon her sister started cultivating and the kid who was born to be a slave didn't want to be left behind, but her family already tested him and deemed him talentless. To everyone's surprise he forcefully cultivated without proper technique and worked like a thousand mules to get to where he is.
He always kept up with Pearl's cultivation.
But once he hit the Astral Plane peak, his brute force cultivation method didn't work out anymore. Now he is full stuck in Astral Plane. Once Pearl found out, she sent him to a faraway place and brought her sister along with her to the Zeus academy.
Pearl's sister just stood there as Pearl scolded her.
"Jade, I am not going to be tolerant of you anymore. The only reason I let your actions slide until now is because I love you. But my responsibility as the clan's heir is taking over that love. Now I am drawing a hard line.
You and him are over.
If you comply, you can have a relatively independent life here. You are now a student of the academy, improve your cultivation. If you crave a relationship so much, go ahead and find someone of your level. There are so many elites in all of those academies. Find someone and I will see to your wedding.
If not, I will set up your engagement with a person of my and father's choice and you will have to live your life like that. You decide."
Pearl turned around without waiting for Jade's reply.
But when Jade spoke up, she had to stop.
"Do as you may see fit sister. But I am sure he will come for me. He has pulled of many miracles with that 'filthy' body with no talent that you spoke of. I am sure he and I will pull of another one. He will bring me away from this cage and we will fight for our love."
Pearl took a deep breath and turned to look at Jade.
"Get ready. After the test is over, you are to perform. Since you like dance so much, I am giving you a chance. You can dance in front of the elders and the new freshmen as the part of the ceremony. Maybe some properly suitable candidate will like you and approach you.
From now on, it is my job to search a candidate for you and your duty to marry that man."
She just left without saying anything.
Time passed and the next day.
Sam arrived at the testing site.
By now, there is not a single person who didn't know of him. Everyone knew who he is and they all knew what he is capable of. They are extremely vary of him. Of course, there are some arrogant guys who wanted to deal with him still.
But Sam didn't pay any heed.
After the usual introduction, Sam went into the testing site. This time the test is a lot more interesting. Because it is a free for all fight.
Of course there are some restrictions. Basically, anyone can move around and fight with anyone, but when two people confront each other, a formation will be created around them and they will be isolated from any other interference.
Only one of them would survive and the other one would either be defeated or killed.
