Chapter 1967 Dropped
Aron closed the distance between him and Sam while his teammates threw their attacks.
But just like before those attacks stopped out of the sphere as well. Sam on the other hand, closed his eyes for a second before opening them again. Something seemed to have changed in his head.
He looked at the elemental creature in front of him.
The ice elemental energy lines within his body started glowing slowly and then they started moving towards his arm and then extended out. Under the surprised gazes of everyone a few lines of frost energy came out of his finger tips and shot towards the elemental creature.
The frost lines entered the elementals body and spread rapidly.
Aron had a bad feeling.
He didn't know what Sam is doing right now. He is not capable of understanding it. He didn't even begin to think how Sam who appeared to be a fire type user since the start is controlling the ice energy.
He just acted on his instinct and got ready to throw his biggest attack.
A projection of bow enveloped his actual bow creating an image of him holding a larger bow.
An energy arrow was nocked on its thread and he pulled it.
The energy from the lava and the active volcanoes around him started gathering within the arrow rapidly.
Sam sensed this change, but he hardly cared for it. The reaction remained the same when the three lackeys of Aron started preparing their ultimate attacks.
But the next moment, they all stopped in their tracks. The spiritual energy circulation also halted by instinct. Because as they watched, the elemental that was struggling under Sam's control squirmed before it lost its moment and turned into a fire elemental energy ball.
And within no time, the blue lines spread even more rapidly. The fire elemental energy ball turned into the ice elemental energy ball. The next instant Sam sucked energy ball into his hands and the fire elemental partial fusion form turned into the ice elemental partial fusion form.
Sam extended his other arm towards Aron and the other three before sneering.
"Know your enemy before you prepare a trap. Fucking amateurs."
*BOOM*
A huge frost beam was shot and it spread wildly to all directions. It froze all the contestants within that direction including Aron and his team members were frozen.
Fog cleared and Sam stood there with the bow still in his hands. He held it on his shoulders as he looked at the rest of the testing site.
"Anyone who is still alive, you better quit right now. I lost my patience and in exactly fifteen minutes, I will start hunting you down one by one. If I give anyone of you a chance to even think of forfeiting when I find you, then I will change my name."
Sam's declaration was heard loud and clear throughout the testing site.
Everyone who is still hiding and trying to pine for some points gulped in nervousness.
At this moment Philip and Five elemental king started their moves as well. They are eliminating the contestants rapidly.
Sam just waited for their signal to come.
And soon it came. In the form of the test ending.
The rankings were decided.
First is Sam with more than half of the points.
Second is Five elemental King.
Third is someone Sam didn't care to know and Fourth is Philip.
Philip's fourth place is a deliberate thing and a part of the plan.
As soon as they all appeared out of the testing site, the seniors in charge of the testing who are basically the student union of the Apollo's academy immediately ran to the top ten contestants.
And that includes Sam as well, but before they could even speak, Sam spoke.
"I am leaving. I am not joining your academy."
His words stunned everyone.
They didn't even know what to say before Sam took out a blueprint from his storage and threw it at them and spoke.
"Build the bow according to this. And you can exchange the blue print in the Exchange center. Maybe you will gain enough coins to raise these pathetic standards of your academy.
Send the bow to the inn. I am sure you know where I stay."
Sam didn't even give them a chance to speak before he made his way to the entrance.
The whole venue went into a pin drop silence.
Some of the freshmen wanted to kill Sam right there and seniors wanted to torture him. They felt humiliated. But they couldn't do anything.
The formation of the whole realm will act if they really tried to violate the test rules set up by the academy and the gods. On top of it all, their reputation will only have more black marks.
Before they could even recover from this shock, they received another shock.
Philip smiled with an embarrassed expression and said.
"I am sorry, I also don't want join your academy. My target is Hephaestus' academy from the start. I wanted to take this test for experience, but I accidentally won without trying much. I don't need your rewards as well. I apologize."
His attitude is night and day compared to Sam's attitude. He is polite and felt truly apologetic. But that made the whole situation worse somehow. Philip left right after Sam, but he moved in a different direction.
Everyone looked at Five elemental king with doubt.
"I am staying. I was truly aiming for this school."
Only at that moment did the seniors heave a sigh of relief.
Then they all looked in the direction Sam left in and clenched their fists.
That day the whole city took note of this incident. All the academies were also notified of this. No one in the history of the academic realm ever dared to reject the admission much less a person who ranked top in the entrance examination.
Also, the people who were already keeping an eye on Sam from before are surprised and got more curious about him. They didn't know what exactly his elemental affinity or fighting style is. During the test, they thought that he is an archer with fire element. But by the end they had to rethink it again.
While all these thoughts are fresh on their minds, the next day the exam of Hermes academy started.
Sam arrived at that exam as well.
This time the exam is mostly focused on speed. There are many beasts that are of Divine Plane Initiation initial stage, a few in middle stage and very few in the late stage. This test is a combination of point acquisition and survival.
After all, the late stage is way too hard for any one in the contestants to defeat.
Everyone was looking forward to what Sam is going to do.
They were expecting him to take out his bow and arrow. But to their surprise, Sam jumped into the sky and whipped his wings out. He moved like the wind and started another slaughter.
"Whoever that bastard is, he is dangerous. We need to tail him and deal with him immediately before things get out of hand. Let's Watt also joined the same examination and he was lowkey compared to Sam. But just when he was about to go on his own way, he noticed the movements of a group. Just like Aron's group there is a guy who had some lackeys in this exam as well.

He led his team after Sam.
Watt who is about to go in his own way stopped and almost followed him. His killing intent was apparent. But in the last moment, he gritted his teeth and went on his original way.

Soon, the test was over.
Sam once again stood at the top and Watt is in third place.
The second place went to the guy who followed Sam. He had to sacrifice his teammates just to obtain the second place. After sacrificing two lives all he could achieve was leave a small scratch on Sam's left hand which healed before the blood could drip out of it.
Sam once again dropped out of the selection. He didn't want to go there.
But Watt stayed in the academy without making any noise.
He walked into the academy along with the remaining selected candidates and soon he arrived at the gathering point of the freshmen.
The guy who placed second was received with a large entourage. It seems like he is really famous. This made that guy finally reveal a smile. But he still held the grudge against Sam.
One of the seniors from student union patted his shoulder and said.
"Don't worry, we will deal with that bastard. Since he dared to look down on us, I will put a bounty on his head. Every single freshman from our school will be targeting him from now on."
As soon as he finished the sentence he felt someone tapping on his back.
He turned around to see Watt.
The senior smiled and greeted Watt.
Watt shook his head and asked.
"Do you like playing cards? You look like man who likes to take risks and gamble."
