Time passed slowly.
Sam didn't bother with meeting any clan leaders or deal with any young masters. After a long time, he is lost in his thoughts. He is calculating every single thing in his mind. He even went back to doing calculations on the rocks and trees within the mountains.
Doing small experiments and calculations.
Only after two days passed like that and he got the vision for the next attack, did he come back to his senses.
The next attack is actually a mountain city that is located a bit far away from the mountain temple.
This Mountain City is called the Winged City. The whole area is surrounded by a mountain range that has a specific natural design that modifies the wind currents in various ways. It is a perfect place for training in the wind element.
It is also a house for a lot of wind elemental beasts and mostly bird type beasts. The number of bird species is very high. To the point Sam felt surprised with all the species he has seen and bred.
"Is everyone ready? I am going to work on this a bit faster than usual and they might need to do a lot more work than the times before. Make sure that they are not goofing around. I am not going to take that lightly."
Sam said to Sandhya before he took off.
Sandhya immediately relayed Sam's message to the rest of the young masters and their followers. It took some time before they reached this city.
The Winged City didn't get its name for nothing. It is located on the mountain which is in the centre of the range and there are two mountains adjacent to it, covering it on either side. These mountains are steep, wide and when looked from the front view, they appear like wings.
These two wings are the natural protection for the city from the most dangerous wind currents that happen within this mountain range. So, the normal people are able to live there without much trouble.
Apart from that, the positioning of the rest of the mountains made Sam feel a bit impressed as well as a bit inspired.
Just from one look, he understood one thing.
The whole mountain range is being subjected to wind currents from the sea shore that is not too far away from there. The geographical location created a natural pressure drop making the currents attack the range.
And due the unique shape of the range and after some constant erosion over the years, the mountain range took a certain shape that a blind zone appeared in the middle of it all. That is the place where the city was established.
There are very few paths to the city and it also provides a lot of natural protection from the invaders. And the basic formation that was laid down around the city also takes advantage of the wind currents around to perform a defensive barrier.
This is a well built city from both strategic and geographic point of view.
When Sam visited the city, as usual he was given all the honors and respect from the Clan leader in charge. Sam also as usual ignored all of that stuff and already got into designing the formation properly.
Luckily for him, he didn't have to worry too much about the construction of the formation itself. Because the mountain range itself will act as nodes with a few inscribed modifications on their surfaces.
The blueprint was created faster than before. He didn't even take his time to investigate the surroundings completely as he created the formation. And there is a reason for that.
He just connected to the basic formation around the city that already existed and based on that, he has a clear cut idea on flow of the wind currents that could attack the city. That gave him a decent idea on how the wind flows and what he could do to make the best use of it.
And this place is kind of Sky's backyard. He left Sky and Harbinger to go and explore all the wind currents. Meanwhile, the remaining beasts are assigned respective tasks. Hopper as usual for the spatial blockade. The previous spatial formation that tackled the wooden arrows, worked wonders.
Raiju is in charge of tackling the land animals that are nearby along with Ape. They might not be of wind element, but one is faster than the wind and the other is tougher than a mountain. They could handle it.
Forest Bear took control of the vegetation in and around the city. All the big trees. Sam used some special inscriptions to make the trees draw excess vitality from within the mountains.
Dia is helping with modifying the mountains into formation nodes and she is in charge of creating some gravitational fields that are active temporarily within the mountains. He might find some use for them.
The work was distributed and as everyone got involved in the construction, Sam went to the rear of the city and went past the Mountain Wings to test out what the most dangerous wind currents in the range can offer.
He activated wind elemental fusion, got his wings out and flew against the current as he few.
The wings are dividing and guiding the upcoming current into two and that is the only spot where the current is least dangerous. He started from that point and flew deeper into the large ravine in front of him.
The wind currents are indeed sharp. Sam deactivated his fusion just for the sake of it and tried to take the winds head on by himself.
The next second, he already saw a few cuts on his exposed skin and the wings are also facing tremendous pressure. He would have flown and hit the wings like a ragdoll if not for his strength.
Sam was really shocked.
He is pretty strong. Within his realm of cultivation he is the strongest and Divine Plane cultivation is nothing to scoff at. He can destroy a planet easily.
But to think that his pure physical form could be damaged by a mere wind current I something that he didn't expect.
He reactivated the fusion and went back to the wings.
He is surprised that these wings not only managed to sustain and survive the onslaught of such currents, they are strong enough to break the currents apart and reduce the effect on the rest of the mountain range.
Yet, from outside they just look like some normal everyday stone mountains.
These wings are the only things that Sam didn't let anyone investigate. He wanted to satiate his curiosity all on his own.
He spread all of his energy and spiritual sense into the wings before activating Observation ability.
Now, he could see every cell of the wings. Sam was surprised by what he saw. These wings are of a material that he has never seen before. He could sense some familiar properties, but it is definitely not a material that he saw and he definitely didn't get this information in the library of the Divine dimension's tower.
He wanted to break a small piece and check it out, but for now he controlled the urge. He didn't want to mess with these wings at a moment like this. Once the disaster is over, he can take a small piece.
But now, he developed some plans in his head to make these wings much stronger and much more useful in the upcoming disaster.
He took out a communication token and sent a message to Sandhya.
"Tell everyone to finish their part of work and relax. I will be working on the wings for the time being. No one shall disturb me."
Sam then extended his finger while a string of blood appeared from the storage device on his finger. The string of blood attached to the finger. Sam placed the finger on the stone and started engraving. The stone is very strong, but he still has earth elemental energy, so he basically modified this complex stone a bit and made the engravings appear on it bit by bit while the blood placed itself on the engravings.
Runic symbols one after another appeared as Sam swiftly drew an within no time an inscription is completed. Of course, there is no significant change yet.
