One hour later.

A massive meeting is being held in the Giants camp.

The captain of the giant squad that Sam let go is sitting on a chair. He looked pale and he couldn't move his limbs. He is barely able to sit up there.

In front of him is a long table and all the important members of Lightning Giants, Chaos Giants and Metal Giants that are working on the western front are there.

As soon as the captain came back with injuries that made him look half dead, he called for this meeting. At least in this aspect, the giants are far better than humans. They didn't hesitate or belittle him. They just called for a meeting.

Now the giant captain explained all that he saw.

"You are saying that there is a mini-stronghold of humans right behind our asses and they created it after capturing our own hideout?"

"Yes."

"But you guys reacted immediately after you got a call that there is an attack happening there. Even if you took the maximum time, you would have been there in thirty minutes. How can someone build a stronghold in those thirty minutes?

It just doesn't make sense."

"I know, but it is there and we can't do anything even if it doesn't make sense. So, we might as well stop thinking about how it was there and instead think about how to remove it from there.

We already saw a reduction in the number of humans entering the forest. It seems like they figured out that the forest is favoring us somehow.

Now we have them right behind our back.

Instead of us sandwiching the humans from the eastern and western fronts, our group is being sandwiched between them. We need to deal with this stronghold first."

"So, how are we going to do it, the information provided by the captain is barely enough. They have special weapons and different attacking methods. That is all he said."

"I also said that it is almost impossible to dodge with our speed. Because the attacks are that fast." The captain intervened in the middle.

"How can there be such attacks? Any attack could be dodged with proper timing."

"Of course, but it couldn't be done like that with our regular soldiers. Only a few elites would be able to dodge it. Also we need to launch attacks from a pretty long range if we cannot close in quickly enough.

The formations are something that I have never seen before. They are very strangle to look at.

And unlike most formations they are not just visible when they are attacked. They are openly visible all the time. I had a bad feeling."

"So, do you think we have to learn to how to deal with those formations first?"

"We don't have that much time. There are around thirty giants fighting for their lives over there. We need to rescue them."

"But we cannot just rush in blindly."

The discussion became heated. Everyone had an opinion. The only common thing is that all of them want to launch an attack. But some of them want to take it slow, some of them want to deal with it immediately and some wants to ignore the Stronghold first and increase their attack on the human camp.

After a long distance, they decided to send an elite squad.

A squad full of members that are the cream of the crop. A thirty-member squad once again. But these guys are at least ten times more powerful compared to the previous squad if one compares their combined power that comes from their coordination.

They were immediately deployed.

"Don't worry captain, the Elite Squad is the Elite Squad for a reason."

"I can understand. But I couldn't help but wonder, we were down on our dumps just with three attacks and there is no way in hell that there are only three attacks in their arsenal.

If my guess is right, my squad would have been either captured or they are on verge of dying."

"Either way we will get our revenge."

"Yeah, but I cannot help but think. We are sending an elite squad to save a normal squad that went in there. But what would we have to send to rescue the elite squad if things went to shit?"

The captain asked, but there is no reply from the other person.

Meanwhile.

Sam had already extended the formation. The thirty giants that thought that they were out of the energy range actually fell under the detection range of the new formation. They could feel the eyes on them.

Sam swiftly collected them, tied them up and placed them right at the entrance of the cave.

As if to show off his hunt.

He is waiting for whoever comes to get them out if they can.

When the elite squad reached the area, they were surprised what they saw. The area that the formations occupied is way larger than what the captain described and the number of humans guarding it with those staves are also many more.

"Is the information wrong?"

One of the members asked the Elite Captain.

"Either that, or the humans just expanded the stronghold in this short time. Anyway we need to be careful.

I have a plan of approach.

Long range attackers will cover our approach. I will lead the charge. Their attacks are fast, but it doesn't mean we cannot counter them. Long range attackers, communicate with us as soon as you sense a fluctuation.

Your job is to just focus your divine senses on them and inform us about every tiny fluctuation.

No matter how small it is. Even if our approach to them is slow, we must not get attacked."

"Alright."

Everyone got into the position.

A persons spiritual sense evolves to a large extent when they are in Divine Plane. In fact, they could even cover it past cities and regions too. But that doesn't mean they will always do it.

Once a person's Divine sense intersects with another person who is of same cultivation or higher, it is very easy to detect. Their location will be given away pretty easily. That is why, Divine Plane cultivators reign in their senses. Instead of focusing on a large area, their focus is concentrated on a small area which gives them a much more detailed vision of the surroundings.

Quality over quantity.

But right now, the giants who are focused on long range attacks are breaking that norm. They are using their divine senses and spreading them to the stronghold.

Even at the risk of revealing their locations, they are going to focus on the stronghold and whenever a 'human' attacks they are going to know that they are being attacked and they would take some measures.

The giants charged towards the formations and the ranged attackers kept their senses turned on.

After the giants reached a certain distance away from the formations, the 'human's that are closest to them, came to a halt. The spears were aimed and the energy beams were about to be shot.

"DODGE."

The ranged giants yelled.

The giants that were charging immediately ducked and rolled on the ground to the side.

*BOOM*

An explosive sound came as the energy beams missed their targets, albeit barely. But they still managed to escape the attacks.

Sam who is sitting the pit looked at the crystal tablet with an amused expression.

Mitra is the one who is currently firing the shots.

For him this felt like a videogame. So, he is taking his time enjoying it.

Meanwhile, Sam made some calculations based on the movements of the elite squad.

The second volley of the attacks also missed spectacularly, but Sam didn't feel even a bit down. He tapped Mitra and said.

"Get off of it, I will do it."

Mitra frustratingly took off the helmet and gave it to Sam. He wanted to deal with the giants, but he wasn't able to.

Sam got equipped and got ready. Unlike Mitra, he has way better control and he is much smarter with the way he attacks.

"Energy fluctuation. Dodge."

The ranged giants once again gave the signal as soon as they sensed the energy signal. But at that moment, right when the attacks were about to leave the tip of the staff, they moved, just a little bit.

The attacks didn't move in the original direction.

All fire elemental energy beams were redirected just enough and this time, they landed cleanly on the giants.

*BOOM*

The whole area turned into a sea of flames with the attack.

The giants were stunned.

Not just because the attacks were redirected, it is because every giant in the charge dodged a bit differently. Some rolled to the right, some rolled to the left, some stepped back and some jumped up.

For Sam to hit all of them at the same time precisely means he needs to control all the puppets at the same time and he needs to make sure that each puppet has redirected the attack in a different angle to hit the targets.
