1851 Changes in Tower

Sam took his arm back and moved on to the next opponent.

He walked through like a hot knife through butter. He didn’t face any resistance at all. Sam is all too familiar with this feeling. Most of the time, he was way too powerful for his peers of the same cultivation level.

He has been experiencing this since he was living in a very low-level realm like desolate.

He also believed that he would experience some difficulty and resistance as he climbed through the realms and cultivation levels. But to his surprise, it never changed and from the looks of it, it is highly unlikely to change at this point.

But he is looking forward to the day that it does.

The ambush was successful, their goal was not to kill everyone. Even though the White Sand Guard is perfectly capable of doing it and is actually willing to do it, Sam told them otherwise.

They let the opponents escape to the city.

“Why are you letting them go? We could have finished them off?”

“There are my precious resources, why would I let them go to waste?”

.....

The white sand guard felt weird when the looked at Sam’s chill smile. To see people like they are nothing more than things and resources is kind of hard even for them. After all, even if they kill them like they are nothing, they are treated as living beings.

Sam looked at them and said.

“Can you guys stop giving me these looks? I don’t really care what you think about me, but you guys are pretty distracting and knocking my efficiency down bit by bit. So, please if you have something to say, then say it, if you don’t then just mind your business.”

He moved on with the task at hand.

The opponents that escaped got caught by the vines and since everyone is pretty much injured by the ambush, the vines didn’t have much trouble at all. They just consumed everyone and soon started giving out fruits.

Sam went to collect those fruits, before spotting another group of people that are coming to the city, before dealing with them.

The same process repeated for almost a dozen times and soon messages from the Dark Sea Sect forces started coming.

The messages are about clearing the cities and towns there and one location after another is falling into Dark Sea Sect’s hands. But the headquarters of the Solar Sect and the Seven Star alliance is completely oblivious to the loss of their territory.

In their opinion, the Dark Sea Sect is still stationed at the coast where they are trying to defend the beach they occupied.

The main reason that the Seven Star Alliance is not actively attacking is that they are focused on the tower trails in Forest City.

After counting all the fruits collected, they are over a hundred of them.

Some of the fruits are small and their energy content is also not much. But some of them are big and they are full of spiritual and divine energy.

Based on the person the vines absorbed the fruit’s energy content will be decided.

It could have been better if he got more fruits, but unfortunately, he doesn’t have too much time in the current state.

He sat alone and started brainstorming on what to do.

“I thought, I could keep it for a bit later in the war, but it seems like I should use it now to allow the other plan to move seamlessly.”

He muttered to himself and came to the main mansion.

He was about to tell something to the White Sand Guards when a message came from the headquarters.

They are asking about the status of the city and how the situation of the Dark Sea Sect forces.

Sam sent a reply back and this time the clone puppet appeared to be extremely cheerful and excited.

“The situation of the Dark Sea sect forces is extremely dire.

The vines that they have used to deal with us have been successfully countered by the seeds provided by the Envoy and also the vines that are friendlier to use are appearing randomly at several places at the opportune moments.

White Sand Guard tried to ambush many of our forces, but they were attacked by the vines and were repelled back.

Currently, we have a really good situation going on here.”

“That is great to know. Based on your reports, Solar Sect is willing to trust more about Envoys and they also want to send some people to our tower in the forest city for training. They would treat it as Seven Star Alliance’s contribution points.

Your reports played a key role in this. Keep it up.” A message came back and it is from one of the faction leaders of the seven-star alliance.

When Sam heard the message, his eyes lit up immediately. This is the ideal scenario for his next plan. He thought utilizing this plan would be a bit of a waste, but he is really fortunate.

He turned to the Guard captain and said.

“I have a plan and this one will surely weaken the forces of the Solar Sect and the Seven Star alliance by a lot.”

“What should we do?”

The captain asked directly.

Sam has contributed way too much to this war. In fact, all of the achievements on this coastal front are mainly because of him. If it was not for him, it would take weeks if not months for them to conquer this much area and they would have lost a lot of people too.

By now, Sam might as well be the impromptu leader of the guard temporarily. They are following orders closely without rejecting anything.

“Tell the other fronts where Solar Sect is participating in the war to increase the pressure a bit. The Solar sect should be at a pinch, even if they are not, they should at least feel a little pressured and anxious about the war progress.

They don’t have to do it on a large scale. One day, that is all I am asking.”

“Are you sure this will help? Even if Ervin has some pull in Dark Sea Sect because of your achievements until now, ordering other factions to increase pressure will be difficult. There would be a huge price to pay and there is the problem of losing some men.”

“Don’t worry, the pressure doesn’t have to be a frontal attack. If you can bluff them, then you can feel free to do so, all I want is for the Solar Sect to feel the need to focus on other fronts.

Right now, without presence here, they are relaxed and even held hope for resisting us on this front, so we need to take advantage of that.”

“Alright, I will trust you and give out the message, but I don’t know how if they will do it or not.”

“I will give them a slight reason to, so don’t worry about it.”

As Sam spoke, he immediately sat cross-legged on the ground. His energy circulated and the shadow energy enveloped him.

His consciousness left his body and seeped into the shadow world.

Within this dark shadow world, Sam’s shadow which is holding his consciousness down is moving in a certain direction.

It is to the forest city.

The shadow reached the tower he built in the forest city and as soon as it did, a conscious shadow from the tower responded.

Sam’s shadow came back to him and he started taking deep breaths as he panted heavily.

He didn’t know if he would be able to do it, but luckily, the forest city is not far away and the distance here and the shadow world is almost the same.

Using the shadows as a medium, he let his consciousness travel to that tower to trigger something that was kept hidden.

At this moment, in Forest City.

The faction leader is talking to someone from the headquarters about the situation in the tower.

“The training is going well. The trials are the same and the tower didn’t show any problems until now. It seems like the envoys didn’t take offense to their hearts. But too bad, what kind of changes would they have brought in this war if they were not offended?

The Solar Sect is getting more and more outrageous. We lost on such great things because of their stupid greed.”

Obviously, the person on the other end is also a member of the Seven Star alliance, in fact, he is the same faction leader that talked to Sam.

After he got the news that the envoys helped with those vines and blocked the advance of the Dark Sea Sect, he delivered the news to different faction leaders.

They were worried that the envoys would be angry and take the privileges of the towers away, but from the looks of it, none of it happened.

But at this moment, the Green Bamboo faction leader suddenly stood up as she looked out of the window.

The magnificent tower started emitting a large bright light out of nowhere and a large mechanical sound of heavy objects moving could be heard throughout the city
