1843 Demonstration
“I will give you a chance. At least, your actions say that you are a smart and capable guy.
But it doesn’t mean I trust you.”
“No problem.”
As Sam said, he threw out a spatial ring towards him.
Ervin caught it with a frown and looked at the contents inside. He was shocked. These are all the goods that Sam has bought from these merchants. The armors, the scrolls, formations, everything is actually top notch in the Dark Sea Continent.
“Take this is as a price for giving me this shot.”
Ervin looked at Sam as if he is a mad man.
“You do know how much these are worth right? That is not a small amount.”
“Of course, but as I said, money doesn’t matter that much to me. It is way too easy to earn and even easier to spend. Anyway, these goods are decent, but they are not really up to my standard. Even if I save them and give them to my people, they would think I lost my mind.”

Sam just said casually and he turned around and looked at the attendant.
“Can you guide me to an enclosed forest? Preferably with a lot of wildlife that you don’t care about.”
Attendant looked at Ervin who just nodded.
After an hour, they are in an enclosed forest, standing on top of a beast.
Sam threw a bunch of seeds and used his wind elemental energy to spread them all over. He didn’t stop there, he took out a bunch of wood elemental energy capsules and broke them. He didn’t destabilize them, he just broke them and started throwing them around.
The pure liquid wood elemental energy started raining down on the seeds that just fell and already started growing and this time, the growth is much more rapid with the addition of wood elemental energy.
As Sam kept on supplying this excess energy, Ervin looked at the forest in surprise, he is surprised by the growth rate of these vines. But what surprised him, even more, is the fact that after Sam stopped supplying the wood elemental energy, the vines grew crazy.
They started absorbing everything in the surroundings. The thick forest started withering at a visible rate.
As if that is not enough, the vines spread even faster before they started attacking the beasts within the forest. The vines penetrated to the beasts and started consuming their energy as well. What is surprising is that Sam soon found out that there are a bunch of cultivators inside.
“Are you sure you want to keep the cultivators in? They wouldn’t be able to take it based on their cultivation strength. They are just Divine Plane Initiation cultivators, and it seems like they are only at the initial stage.”
“It’s fine. They are on death row.”
Ervin just said without even looking at him. His eyes are completely locked on to the vines that are consuming everything.
At first, the cultivators still managed to fight off these vines, and Ervin felt that it could only take weaker people, but soon he realized, the more forest and wildlife was consumed, the more powerful the vines have become and the more powerful their attacks were against the cultivators.
They just stood there for a couple of hours as they saw the cultivators being consumed.
Ervin thought of something and asked.
“Can they even take down a Divine Plane Pre-transcendent cultivator?”
“Technically they can. But as you know the disparity between the Divine Plane Initiation and Divine Plane Pre-transcendence is no joke.
Currently, the vine only absorbed over a dozen Divine Plane Initiation cultivators at Initial Stage. With the current energy and strength they have, they can deal with half a dozen Middle Stage cultivators openly even if they fought back. But if there are more of them, it would have to work sneakily taking them one by one and reducing their numbers.
And as long as it can improve the energy within, it can keep on going. But the requirement to hit a Divine Plane-Pretranscendent cultivator is not going to be small.”
“And it is smart enough to do all of that on its own?”
“Not really. It is not exactly smart in a regular sense. It is its survival instinct. It is parasitic by nature and it purely sustains based on the vitality of other creatures there is an outlet as you can see in the fruits on the vines.
So, the vines can only sustain for so long without energy and soon the energy will be slowly converted into fruits before it died down.”
“What can these fruits do?”
“Well, they are a different kind of danger. The fruits of this vine are basically poison. And it is not ordinary poison, it is a poison of vitality. If you want to know, you can give it to a Divine Plane Initiation cultivator of the Initial stage.
It seems like you have a lot of death row inmates, so I am sure you don’t lack any test subjects. You will something great.
But of course, you should be careful only to test that in a field like this.”
“How long is this vine going to last at this rate?”
“Since I cut off its spread to outside of the enclosed forest, it cannot look for any prey, so it would be converted into a bunch of fruits and withered mess in just around three to four hours.”
“That fast?”

When I came threw that, I noticed that the trees of the forest were weird and they seemed like they were planted in a certain way. It is a formation. It is a defensive formation that takes in the energy of the whole landmass. It even took the energy from the undersea mines. It is just that not a lot of people know about this.”
Ervin is stunned. He knew about the formation, but just as Sam said, a lot of people don’t know about it. They are extremely ignorant, to say the least. This formation is also very mysterious since it was one of the things that were given by Zeus to those sects.
“So, your plan is to plant these seeds and destroy the vegetation and clear the coastline? Is that it?”
“No, currently I plan to just go there and wait for a bit, cause some disturbance, kill everyone, and collect some fruits. I already planted the seeds a long time ago.”
Ervin is stunned. He looked at Sam and asked.
“How long?”
“More than a week. But don’t worry, the vines there are of a very special kind. They are extremely slow growing, but they are much more resilient and they are programmed to do a different tasks.
If my guess is right, they should move to the next stage of their task by now and if I dare say, this is the best time for you guys to launch an attack.
As long as you can send some experts that could weaken the experts there and keep them inside the forest, we can kill them all and the coast would be clear, you can even use these vines as a defensive line for your temporary base there and you don’t have to worry about losing its energy since a lot of the energy will be coming from the water elemental vines under the sea.”
Ervin’s gaze started burning as he looked at Sam. He is still suspicious of him. After all, Dark Sea Sect is the only place that could connect to other planets and other realms. The remaining two continents are kind of closed off.
If Sam had come from outside, he should have known. But he didn’t know him. Then the only plausible way for Sam to exist here is by being a native of the planet.
But neither did Sam’s way of speaking, dressing, or fighting indicate any familiarity with the surroundings.
So, he had some belief in Sam’s story and if it is completely true, then he could only say that he had managed to obtain a gold mine.
“What do you want?”
He asked Sam.
“As I said, I only need to be an official soldier, with proper soldier status of the Dark Sea Sect. I will fight in your war with the Tri Sun Continent and particularly the solar sect. To be precise, I can help you guys kill more than three thousand people with my own hands, occupy one of their vassal territories that are being led by a Divine Plane Initiation cultivator with the help of a team, and try to gain some very high ranking achievements in your sect.
That is what I want.”
