The next day, He Yuan left for the Li mansion at sunrise. He hardly got any sleep due to curiosity and he wanted to see if Li Shu could help him investigate. He had a really bad feeling, it better not be what he was thinking.
Once he arrived, he immediately went up to the study. Li Anjing and Li Shu were both staring at a bunch of reports with solemn looks. He Yuan's heart dropped.
"What's wrong?"
The father and son duo looked up from the reports. They were quite surprised as they were too occupied to notice when He Yuan walked in. Li Shu stared at his younger brother for some time, he was very much aware that the problems the Zhangs have been facing lately was his doing but...
"Something strange has been happening lately." The alpha sighed. "The companies that had snatched some deals from the Zhang conglomerate are suddenly faced with different financial problems. Even the Li corporation."
He Yuan took a seat. "Elaborate."
Li Shu threw him a bunch of reports as he explained, "Alone, several companies going through financial problems and also scrutiny from the government is no big deal but the companies involved this time were companies that, in one way or the other, have a bone to pick with the Zhang conglomerate.
-Our Li corporation had done nothing to them but I'm guessing the reason we were also roped in with the rest was because we had refused Zhang Jun's request for our deals. It's a good thing you advised us to slowly transfer our resources else we might not have been able to survive it."
He Yuan froze. No way. His earlier thoughts had been right! This was clearly Zhang Ye's doing. That mini hacker had sneaked his way into the firewalls of these companies to mess up with them.
Tax evasion, bribery, missing funds, leaked company secrets, forced labour, you name it. These companies were all going through problems upon problems as all their underhanded deals had been leaked to the police. Even secrets that they never had in the first place was leaked.
That wasn't all, the Zhang conglomerate seemed to have made a sort of comeback. He Yuan knew the amount of damage he'd had caused them by leaking those files. It was enough to pull Zhang Jun away from the position of CEO but the alpha was still comfortably seated there, why?
It was because there was a sudden influx of cash into the Zhang conglomerate. Zhang Jun had explained it as the Zhang family pooling in their savings but He Yuan knew it wasn't true. Li Yexi was a part of that family and no matter how bad they treated him, he more or less knew their financial capabilities. That amount of money was just too much to have come from their pockets alone!
It was stolen. That mini hacker had swiped up cash from God knows where. He Yuan clicked his tongue. This was the reason they were celebrating and looking at Li Shiyu as if he was a messiah. It was all Zhang Ye's doing.
Zhang Jun acted like he was the top alpha and the best in the game but just like Li Shiyu, the scum needed a five year old to wipe his butt!
He Yuan chuckled. Did they think it was so easy to escape like this? Zhang Jun had just dug an even bigger pit for himself. The little hacker was able to get away with all his criminal activities because no one would suspect a five year old to be capable of such crimes.
Even if Zhang Ye was caught, the kid couldn't go to jail. At most, he would be taken away by the government to raise in order to avoid him growing up to be a problem to National security. The parents of the kid, on the other hand, were a different issue.
It was even worse now that Zhang Jun had used the money on the company. Li Shiyu could still deny and cry that he was unaware but how about Zhang Jun? Was he also unaware? He Yuan burst out laughing. Good. This was very good. Zhang Jun had handed himself right at his doorstep.
He Yuan even had the urge to run over and kiss that mini hacker's chubby cheeks. The kid had never seemed so adorable as he did at this moment. What a good child, helping his father solve his problems. Once he was done, the three kids would have learnt a lesson never to meddle in the issues of grown ups.
Li Anjing and Li Shu sent weird looks at He Yuan, as his face went through a myriad of expressions under one minute. What was up with the omega? "Yexi?" Li Shu asked hesitantly.
He Yuan gave the alpha a broad smile. "Say elder brother, just how good are the police hackers?"
Li Shu scratched his head. What was up with this question? "I'd say good enough. Even if they aren't, I'm pretty sure they have the contacts of renowned hackers. Why did you ask?"
He Yuan waved. "No major reason. I just want to fulfil my duties as an upright citizen and report a crime."
Li Anjing cocked his head to the side. "What crime?"
He Yuan smiled secretly. "You'll see. Although I don't think I can do it myself though."
Li Shu got the message and nodded. "I'd select one of my subordinates and send him to you. Just give him the details of the crime you want to report and he would handle it cleanly."
He Yuan nodded with a clap. "How wonderful. You're such a nice brother to have."
Li Shu just smiled and said nothing but he was a little confused though. Why did his younger brother make it seem like he was some sort of accessory or gadget that was there to make a person's life easy?
He Yuan left the Li mansion in a much better mood than he came in. Once he arrived at the Zhang mansion, he found Li Shiyu on Zhang Jun's lap, they were actually kissing in the living room. Did they not know that they were about to fall into the abyss? He Yuan laughed. Of course they didn't.
Li Shiyu looked up and noticed Li Yexi and then he immediately scrambled off Zhang Jun's lap. The alpha was a bit dissatisfied but he also noticed He Yuan and frowned.
He Yuan, on the other hand, was busy thinking. What was the use? Li Shiyu was acting as if him and Zhang Jun had yet to do the deed and Zhang Jun was still faithful in the marriage.
Well this was required though. They couldn't have Li Yexi finding out that they already had sex if they wanted a smooth divorce that still preserved their reputations as separated lovers.
No matter what, Li Yexi must remain the heartless devil that came in between them whilst they remained the lovelorn lovers that watched each other from afar without ever acting on it because Zhang Jun would never dishonour his marriage vows whether with Li Shiyu or not.
Sigh~ Sucks to be them.
