"Oh man, what've I done now?" Lucas raised his head and looked them straight in the eye, this time showing no fear.

"Relax, he's not Izek." Xina interrupted him.

The two gatekeepers had a surprised look on their faces, but they didn't want to put their swords away just yet.

"Xina, what're you doing?" One looked at her while pointing his sword at Lucas.

'This situation...' Lucas closed his eyes and took a deep breath, 'now I'm the one getting angry here.'

The black, wide gate looked like it was made of iron, but it wasn't exactly what it looked like to Lucas.

He tried to lean towards the gate to see if he could spot any unusual signs, but was immediately stopped by the guard.

"What do you think you're doing?" The black-eyed protector pushed Lucas back with the tip of his sword. f(r)eewebn(o)vel.com

The sword tip no longer frightened him, but rather he felt annoyed and disappointed.

"Rifa, let us in, the system sent them here." Xina spoke up.

"Why would the system send them here to us?" The guard asked her in a loud tone that seemed arrogant and doubtful.

Without waiting for an answer, Haya finally decided to interrupt this fiasco.

"Do you want me to prove it to you?" Haya gently pressed Lucas' shoulder, making him flinch a little.

"Ha-Haya" Both soldiers froze as they saw him clearly, "what're you doing here with this traitor?" Asked one.

"He's not Izek and I'm here for the system." Haya answered his questions kindly, blinking his eyes and folding his arms, he was confident of getting through the gates.

"Okay, but we can't let the dragon in as it would affect its eyesight." They finally agreed to let her in.

"Why can't the dragon come with us?" Lucas felt a flicker of irritation go through his blood.

"Because he'd be affected by the elf's magic." Haya sighed.

"What elf magic?" Lucas raised an eyebrow and took a step back, not quite understanding what exactly was going on.

"The magic created by the elves will cause Kali eye pain, she'll go blind." Haya frowned.

'Eye pain? Lucas asked himself.

He shook his head and turned on his left side to see how Kali was doing, once again she was fine, but in complete silence, 'what happened to her?" his frustration made itself felt again.

"Kali, are you okay with this?" Lucas asked Kali aloud.

Without wasting anyone's time, Kali just nodded with her muzzle.

Her silver sharp fangs stood out, even if something dangerous happened to her, she'd be fine by the looks of her.

Lucas turned back to the gate guards, "Are you going to let us in now?" he pressed down his anger as he clenched his fist.

"Xina." The guards looked at her and nodded.

They both stepped aside and the wide, room-dark door finally opened.

The crystal white floor shone like stars in the sky, making everything around it glitter silver. Every single wall and ceiling was the same colour and shade, making them feel like they were in a cold winter.

Surprisingly, it wasn't as cold inside as it would be if it were snowing instead.

Again, not a sound could be heard with each step, not a single squeak or crunch could be heard. 'Well, guess what, Kali didn't come.' That at least made Lucas feel a little reassured.

"Why is everything so white in here?" Lucas asked as he tilted his head to the side and observed with his eyes.

"It's because of the elven magic." Haya gave him the same answer again.

"What is that elven magic?" Lucas whistled with his lips.

A long and deep sigh came out of Haya's and Xina's mouths.

"The very first elf created had the most powerful magic of all, he was the one who created this land and the spells." Xina's answer was direct and without wasting time.

"Where is he now?" Lucas asked another question.

"We do not know where he is now," Xina answered again.

When she had finished talking, they reached another silver door, which could only be recognised by the fact that it had a hanger to open it.

The hanger was black and visible to any eye that could see it.

Xina put her hand on it and pulled the door towards her.

In the blink of an eye, the door was open and a bright like the sky room was open for entry. "Let us go." It looked like Xina was smiling as she said this.

Lucas stepped forward with his left foot and entered this strangely bright room with Haya and Xina.

What he saw next he had not expected, was another woman.

She looked like she was in her sixties. Long grey hair that almost touched the floor, she had wrinkles on her face and a few teeth in her mouth.

Her long black robe covered her whole body, only her face and hair were visible.

"Haya." She called out to him.

Her speech was determined by what she was talking about, "and also the new Izek." She smirked.

In the middle of the room was a small fountain with water, 'wow, elves really love water.' A brief thought crossed Lucas' mind.

It was the flowing water that made pleasant noises in here, it felt alive like people were talking in it.

There was nothing but this fountain, an empty but smart-looking room with a high sunny ceiling and round walls.

Lucas had not seen anything like this in a long time, it was still new for him to experience a place like this, 'I wonder how long it took them to set this up?' He turned to Xina who was focused on this old woman.

"I see the new Izek is here too." She repeated her sentence slowly to get Lucas' full attention

The moment he heard the name 'Izek', Lucas immediately turned to the old woman and asked, "Maybe you can tell me who the hell Izek is?" His eyes looked serious, ready to get the answer.

"I will if you will summon the white phoenix now."
