Chapter 380 -The Buddhist Clan

Different clans had varying reactions to Dave's actions, but they all realized that he didn't need to rely on his clan to create chaos and he feared no one.

Despite his youth and talent, it was already too late; he had grown wings and even attempts to assassinate him had uncertain success rates, especially with his formidable clan backing him.

Fortunately, the Alexander Clan rarely intervened in others' affairs unless their members were being bullied or their actions hindered.

They learned that Dave hadn't even been in the clan for a year, yet his powers remained a mystery, despite growing up in the Mortal Plane.

As Dave traveled through the void, he watched the progress bar rise to a significant percentage.

Dave felt that completing the update would still take him a long time.

"Hmmp, bald donkeys, you dare offend me? Get ready to be exposed to this demon's wrath," he mused.

"Clean your necks as I will be claiming them later"

He had already a negative opinion of these individuals before and after scanning the memory of the Fire Sword Saint, it revealed that the person who had contact with him came from the Buddhist Clan and held a high position within the clan.

"Nothing can escape me," Dave smirked, estimating that he needed about 15 minutes to reach that domain.

He was now traveling to learn about the grand scheme of the person behind this.

Buddhist Clan.

The Temple's Master, named Kasuya, had led the clan since its inception. With an unusually long lifespan, he instilled fear in many due to his power. Yet, he now knelt before a person wearing red attire and a mask reminiscent of the Fire Sword Saint's mask, which Dave had subdued.

"That person was exceedingly terrifying, and he maybe has already detected our scheme. Be cautious, as he might rush here to investigate."

"I realized that the formation I had created earlier was destroyed, and the four women in whom I had embedded the four physiques of the four spirit beasts have disappeared," the mysterious person admitted.

Kasuya's fear of this individual deepened, to the point where he abandoned the monk culture and instead complied with this person's control.

This mysterious figure issued commands, leaving Kasuya with no option but to nod and obey.

... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Dave materialized outside the Buddhist Clan's domain, causing a stir throughout the clan.

Rumors of his enigmatic powers had spread, and even the incarnation of the demonic sect leader couldn't withstand him.

The guards maintained respectful appearances but refrained from showing reverence, their loyalty solely directed towards Buddha.

"Amithaba."

"Lord Dave, our Master invites you to enter our temple and wishes to converse with you," an old man, a formidable True Saint powerhouse, stepped forward. Without arrogance, he respectfully asked.

Dave smiled, gripping Samantha's hand.

They nodded in agreement and followed the old man. Dave's scanning of the domain revealed its normalcy, devoid of any trace of evil presence.

He couldn't discern fear among the people, realizing not everyone was aware of the situation. Perhaps only those in higher positions were connected to the culprits.

The old man, a Sword Saint, had encountered this individual, also wearing a fox mask, hindering identification.

Dave only knew that the Buddhist individual was serving a terrifying person in red attire, wearing a similar mask.

Following the monk to the temple, Dave marveled at its exquisite design.

He witnessed numerous bald heads kneeling before a Buddha statue. Children chanted mantras, sparred, and practiced their powers.

Onlookers observed in amazement as an ancestor appeared to greet him personally, dissuading them from staring longer, out of fear of causing offense.

...

Buddhist Clan Holy temple.

Inside the temple, a robust elderly man, his long white beard contrasting his orange attire, sat cross-legged on the ground with closed eyes, as if engaged in prayer. When Dave appeared, guided by one of the ancestors, he opened his eyes to offer his greeting. He examined Dave's handsome face, reciprocating Dave's scrutiny.

Cupping his fist, he greeted Dave with respect. "I am pleased to meet you, young master Dave. I hope you find our clan pleasing to your eyes. My name is Kasuya."

Appearing normal and respectful, Kasuya's nervousness was evident in Dave's presence. Dave smiled and responded in kind.

"Hehe, I've heard of your 'bald' name—uh, your renowned name, before. Your clan is indeed remarkable."

Dave managed to avoid directly using the term "bald donkeys." Monks, while often portrayed as holy, were sometimes among the most hypocritical and shameless individuals, even more so than demonic cultivators, as he'd read in some novels.

Kasuya didn't display anger; instead, a golden light emanated from him, indicating his perpetual calmness.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . .

"What brings you here, young master Dave?" he inquired.

Dave smiled and replied, "Don't pretend you're unaware. You already knew my intentions"

Kasuya's heart raced, his anxiety palpable. Despite his power on par with Karina, a semi-Saint Sovereign, he couldn't shake his fear when facing Dave.

"Does he already know?"

Kasuya said in his mind and he didn't want his secret to be learned by others or his reputation might be destroyed.

"What do you mean, young master?" Even the ancestor behind him frowned, taken aback by Dave's statement. The mystery of Dave's power left them cautious, reluctant to stir trouble. Dave's arrival in their clan, following the chaos he caused in the Fang Clan, hinted at the potential for more disruption.

Dave continued to smile. "Well, I know that Master Kasuya is aware that I'm here to visit your clan and experience something new."

Upon hearing this, both the ancestor and Master Kasuya sighed in relief. Kasuya's anxiety had him sweating profusely, fearing that Dave had uncovered their scheme. Fortunately, it seemed he had worried unnecessarily.

"Then allow me, young master Dave, to lead you on a tour of our clan's various places," Kasuya proposed. Dave accepted with a nod.
