Chapter 285 - The Revelation

Dave stood in the arena, sensing the emperor's dangerous gaze upon him. However, he refrained from making a move, knowing that Yudi's presence restrained the emperor's actions.

"What happened, Master?" Yudi approached Dave, visibly relieved to see him unharmed. While Dave's clothes were damaged and stained with blood, he didn't sustain any serious injuries.

Dave became aware of his newfound power and felt that he could now rival some Imperial Emperors if he went all out.

"Take a look for yourself," Dave said, retrieving an orb he had prepared before the battle. It was a recording device he had acquired during his travels to different worlds, known for its popularity.

Yudi and the emperor watched the recording, both shocked and incredulous at the information it revealed. Dave allowed the onlookers to witness the contents of the orb as well.

The emperor regarded Dave with a complex expression, then bowed before him, saying, "I thank you on behalf of the Illois World and the Fexir Empire. I didn't expect my fourth son to collude with demons."

The emperor suppressed his anger towards Dave, feeling a mix of sadness for his son's actions and astonishment at Dave's prowess.

Dave waved his hand and spoke with a righteous face, "You are kind. It was my duty to eliminate those who collude with demons."

The emperor thought highly of Dave as a righteous individual, but his perspective shattered with Dave's next sentence.

"However, I have suffered considerable injuries, and I fear it will impact my cultivation. I hope the emperor will compensate me for my service," Dave added, feigning a grieving expression while pretending to cough. Yudi approached him and played along with the act.

"Don't worry, young master. I know the emperor will reward you for your assistance," Yudi chimed in, aware that it was time for extortion, playing his role accordingly.

The emperor's face darkened, cursing inwardly. 'Damn it! You killed my son, and now you want a reward? You clearly defeated both of them without serious injuries.'

Nonetheless, the emperor forced a smile and promised to compensate Dave. He waved his hand, commanding his men to clear the arena.

The revelation shocked everyone present, but the emperor took action, scanning the area to ensure no demons remained. Finding no signs of demonic presence, he breathed a sigh of relief and instructed everyone to leave.

The emperor chose not to suppress the matter, as he knew some spectators held high status and wouldn't be easily silenced.

...

The first prince witnessed Dave's victorious battle against two peak-tier Imperial Kings and his subsequent comprehension of a powerful technique. He couldn't help but feel fortunate that he hadn't encountered Dave earlier, realizing that he would have had little chance of winning.

"How lucky, my fifth brother," he sighed, accepting the reality. The second prince had already left the arena, unaware of the spectacle. If he had witnessed it, Dave was certain he would have faced another blow to his ego.

The third prince also resigned himself to the fact that their youngest brother would undoubtedly be crowned as the next emperor.

"I must mend my relationship with Ryan," he murmured, realizing the importance of solidifying alliances in the face of Dave's growing strength.

...

Inside the royal hall, the emperor, Dave, and Yudi sat at the table, their expressions grave as they discussed a significant matter.

"Are you certain about this information?" The emperor couldn't help but feel shocked by Dave's revelation.

Dave nodded, confirming, "Yes, I read some of the memories of the Demon Prince before I killed him."

He retrieved another orb, transferring Renjel's memories that revealed the demons' plans. The atmosphere grew heavy with gloom.

"What a deranged plan, just as expected of demons," Yudi remarked, his eyes filled with a resolute determination fueled by the memories of his cruel past at the hands of those demons.

Taking the orb from Dave's hand, the emperor said, "You have made a tremendous contribution. I will report it to the Royal Clan, and I am certain they will reward you generously with contribution points."

Gratitude surged within the emperor as the demons' plans instilled fear in him. He continued, "Since you also helped expose the demons and aid our empire, I will grant you access to our sacred spring and provide you with an ample supply of spirit stones."

Dave smiled, realizing that the sacred spring was one of his goals, which he had helped Ryan with. He hadn't expected to gain easy access to it through the emperor's favor.

"By the way, where is my son Ryan?" the emperor inquired, directing his gaze toward Dave.

Dave became aware of Ryan's absence and scanned his domain. He found Ryan trembling in fear, affected by the special effects of his domain. Waving his hand, Dave summoned the disheveled Ryan, who appeared pitiful and scared.

"Huh, Father, that place is terrifying," Ryan cried like a child, seeking solace in his father's arms. Dave facepalmed, feeling a sense of pity for the future of the empire.

"You better raise him well," Yudi advised the emperor before leading Dave to his residence to rest.

...

Inside Dave's room, Yudi looked at Dave, seeking his answer. "Should we assist them?"

Dave shook his head and replied, "It is their responsibility, and we should merely observe. However, if they disturb us again, I will be forced to take action. Furthermore, with the information I provided, I am confident that the Immortal Plane's inhabitants will mobilize their strongest forces to eradicate the demons."

After careful consideration, Dave decided not to intervene. Through Renjel's memories, he discovered that the demons had infiltrated numerous worlds, hiding within human bodies. Their ultimate goal was to steal the souls of influential individuals and wreak havoc across multiple realms. Once accomplished, the seals would be broken, allowing demons of tremendous power to descend

The True Saints of this plane remained elusive, stationed at the borders to defend against demon invasions. Although there were a few cracks connecting to the demon world, only True Saints and those of lower cultivation levels could traverse them. If the demons' plan succeeded, stronger adversaries would infiltrate the Immortal Plane, posing a threat to all. However, Dave didn't feel compelled to intervene out of righteousness, as he had his own personal space world and sought personal gain in his actions.

If things didn't go according to plan, he would allow his father, who resided in the Alexander Domain, and his relatives to enter his space world for protection.
