36 It is Over

The weekend came quickly and Rong Yue was even more excited at the turn of events.

Yesterday, her master Wang had called asking for her address because he was coming back to City A for a painting exhibition.

He wanted to use that opportunity his precious little student. Since he wasn’t going to be around in the capital, she was certain that Tong Yang and her family would not pass up a chance to meet the master here in their city.

More than that, the little money grubber was excited at being able to sell off some more painting so she had hurriedly gone to get more painting materials.

“Are you done?” Rong Xia asked worriedly as she looked at the little daughter that had sat in the study all night.

“Hmmm, just finished, I’ll get some sleep now.” Rong Yue replied with a satisfied smile on her face.

One had to understand that oil painting required patience and carefulness to be able to carry it out. She had spent all night painting and was able to create four painting. However, she had made one a different style.

In the past, she had only started to switch over to fauvism and had gotten mastery to a certain point.

Instead of the regular impressionalism style and painterly, she had used this style and also didn’t use oil painting going for acrylic instead.

.....

It was okay to use these things abroad at this time especially since they were still relatively new in comparison to the others. But in China where oil painting had only just been accepted from the usual Tang and Ming dynasty painting styles, going for this was quite some risk.

Yet, art was always not to conform.

“After I sell these ones, I’ll try some traditional paintings.” As she thought to the point, she realized what good it was having that master, after all, she wasn’t so good in the traditional painting.

“Yue’er, are you okay?” Her mother’s voice broke through her thoughts making her realize that she had gotten lost in her plans again.

“Mmm, just a little tired.” She packed up immediately with her mom also assisting her and then left the study room.

Since it was already morning, Rong Xia insisted that she had some soup before finally going to sleep in.

The moment her exhausted body hit the bed, she slept off immediately, the exhaustion finally setting in.

*****

Rong Yue would ever have imagined that the man had called her to use the study because for confidentiality reasons, he usually had a surveillance camera in all his study rooms in case there was a breach in there.

His main reason for wanting her to use it was to see if she had truly modified the computer already. For someone that was a maniac in tech, Qin Yichen was really curious.

Yet, he had not expected that tuning into the camera would give him a scene of the girl painting judiciously. From the time stamp, he had seen that she had stayed up all night to do them making him have a degree of respect for her.

He watched the video a second time, his eyes fixed on that fair and petite figure. For someone that had been diagnosed as asexual, Qin Yichen couldn’t explain why he was so drawn to her. He found his thoughts returning to her anytime he was less busy.

A gentle knock on his study’s door drew him out of his thoughts. “Come in.”

“Young master.” The young man that had entered said with a slight bow

“The other side said they want to start an entertainment company, it would clash with our own branch of Nirvana.” The man reported, his face showing his conflicting thoughts.

Qin Yichen had built Nirvana while he was in his teens. A lot of people had assumed that he was born with all his business skills but had no idea that he had single handedly started a company before he was even legal and had used his first brother who was only barely legal then as the name.

From then, he had worked hard day and night even while he was studying overseas to get the company to take off. Despite many set backs and difficulties, Nirvana had gradually grown over there and three years ago, they had started to move it to their country.

With how the aristocratic families were, they were at first not willing to have some unknown company come from nowhere and take their market, but with Qin Yichen’s methods, he had skipped getting their approval and going for winning the hearts of the public instead.

With their name in the entertainment industry, finance industry and the technology industry, it was a piece of cake.

Most especially since he had made sure every of their company workers and systems had good structure and ethics.

“With that useless son of his? He would only be ruining the family name sooner or later.” He scoffed with clear disdain on his face.

“Let them go ahead, I haven’t built something for ten years or have them come and topple.” He said confidently making the young man in front of him man up and chest out proudly.

“Okay master, we would turn a blind eye to them.” He said, however, instead of going, he stayed around to see what the man would say again.

“Also, keep an eye on the people on the old man’s side, it would be bad if they get their hands on him while he’s thinking they are on his team.” He added, as he talked, Qin Yichen moved the video he was watching previously away and then started checking through the stock markets carefully to be sure of something.

“Hmm, tell....” Is something the matter?

He had just reassured him on the other issue and wanted to give him another assignment, yet, the look on Lu Yin’s face was like as if he was being forced to take vinegar.

“Master... third...third.. young master has run away from school again.” He finally managed to say, his face getting worse as he saw the stormy expression on Qin Yichen’s face.

‘It’s over!”
