Zhong Lizhen looked at Dong Xuebing. “Who are you?”
Many people have asked Dong Xuebing this question, and he does not know how to reply. “I am a nobody, and I am not from any organization. Someone asked me to rescue you.”

Zhong Lizhen looked at Dong Xuebing and did not say anything.

Dong Xuebing frowned. “The door is not locked?”
Zhong Lizhen replied. “Then you must be careful.”
“I understand.” Dong Xuebing lowered his head. “Close your eyes. Don’t open until I tell you to. Keep your eyes shut.”
“Yes.” Zhong Lizhen replied and closed her eyes.
Dong Xuebing steadied himself and stepped out through the door. He narrowed his eyes and looked outside.
Soldiers….
Soldiers surrounded them.
Dong Xuebing estimated there were more than twenty of them.
There was even an armored vehicle and a few military jeeps.
Dong Xuebing was not nervous. He smiled and said in broken English. “So many of you are surrounding me. You all think too highly of me.” These soldiers were pointing their guns at him, but none opened fire. They thought they would not escape and wanted to catch them alive.
“Xiao Dong, are we surrounded?” Zhong Lizhen did not open her eyes.
Dong Xuebing consoled her. “It’s only a few people.”
A man stepped out from the soldiers. He seemed to be the officer in charge. He said something to Dong Xuebing in English.
Dong Xuebing could not understand, and Zhong Lizhen translated for him. “He asked us to drop our weapons and surrender.”
Dong Xuebing replied. “Tell them. I want to see who will surrender first.”
“Are you sure you want me to say it?”
“Yes. Tell them!”
Zhong Lizhen shouted with his eyes closed.
Those soldiers were amused when they heard it. They looked at Dong Xuebing as if he were an idiot. An armored vehicle and a few dozen soldiers pointed their guns at you. Do you think you can still escape? A few soldiers laughed.
The officer’s face changed, and he waved his arm.
The soldiers moved closer, and a few of them stepped forward. They were going to disarm Dong Xuebing and arrest him.
“Hold on to me tightly.” Dong Xuebing said.
“Yes.” Zhong Lizhen could sense the tension.
“Also….” Dong Xuebing continued. “Don’t tell anyone what you see today. Thank you.”
“I will.”
“Ok. Keep your eyes shut.”
Dong Xuebing’s body suddenly moved after saying this.
The battle started. Shots were fired, and the air was filled with a gunpowder smell.
Zhong Lizhen started to feel nauseous again. It was not because she saw blood. Dong Xuebing was moving too fast, and she felt motion sickness. She was afraid she would affect him and tried her best to endure it. Her eyes remained shut, and she did not know what was happening around her. However, she knew they were in danger from the guns firing around her. She even heard an explosion and felt the heat from it.

A military jeep and that armored vehicle were burning and flipped on their sides.
Only Zhong Lizhen and Dong Xuebing were alive.
