"Mom- she has not come back home for the last two days, I am barely able to take care of Jake and Sam- while she does I don't know what- she should at least be a bit more-! And that man! he- he even gives my brother weird looks and when mom's not- around he tries to touch me-!" She said with a few tears dripping down her face.
"Did you tell your mom about this?" I asked as I found a whole bunch of tissues that I got from my last drive-thru meal.
"Actually here take this first," I said as handed her a clean tissue-
"Thanks-" she said while wiping her tears
"I did tell my mom about it- but she just doesn't listen- I don't know what to do anymore-" she said while I heard sniffling noises.
For some reason, I didn't want to look her in the eye.
"Well- can I help somehow?" I asked.
"No- not really- just thanks for listening- honestly," She said in her 'fake' cheerful voice, which was still damped from crying.
"How are your brothers getting dinner?" I asked as I had just come up with something.
"I'll cook, duh"
I finally looked at her face, you couldn't see the tears but her eyes were red and puffy from crying and wiping tears.
"Change of plans then- I'll cook for you guys today," I said with a confident smile.
"You can cook?" she said with a raised eyebrow.
"Eh- I am pretty average but it's worth a shot," I stated as I started up the car again.
"No- I can't trouble you with that!"
"Well then- I'll have dinner with you guys, think of it as repayment for helping me out earlier today."
Cooking dinner and giving Alexandra some time to rest, was honestly the least I could do.
It took a while to reach her home, but we had nice chats all the way.

But sadly she hadn't tasted anime yet and I was feeling pretty excited to introduce her to it.

Well entering her kitchen- made me question my skills which were already non existent.
"Yeah, I know it's kinda messy, that's why, why don't you keep Jake and Sam busy, while I cook?" Alexandra said as she was already opening drawers looking for something.
"Kinda messy is a nice way to put it," I said as looked at the kitchen which seemed like it was not cleaned for ages.
The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, with even more dishes just stacked on it, even the sink was full of unwashed dishes. It seemed they didn't take the trash out for a couple of days, four large garbage bags were just lying in the kitchen for some reason.
Disposable plates were lying around everywhere. Used disposable plates and dirty ones all mixed.
Everything was lying around anywhere.
I would accept it if this was only the kitchen but no...
"Sis! We can't find the remote!" Cried out the blonde kid who seemed 5 or 6 years old.
"Andra! where did you throw the remote! You were the one using it last night!" Yelled out the other blonde who was probably 9 or 10 years old.
"Shut it! can't you see we have a guest!" Yelled out Alexandra without even looking at them, while she tied her apron which was dirtier than all the dirty dishes I could see.
" Oh!! who is he?" Yelled out the younger one as he clung onto my pants, attempting to maybe pull down my pant?
"Jake stop! don't disturb them! Even Andra has brought home a guy like mom!" Yelled out the elder one furiously as he ran upstairs.
This got Alexandra's attention, and rightfully so.
"I am really sorry, look after Jake for a while, I'll explain it to him. He's a bit-" Alexandra blabbered in a hurry as she wanted to chase after Sam (the elder one)
"Yeah, I get it. Go after him." I replied while I patted Jake's head who was trying to climb on me for some reason.
"Thanks, and sorry," She said with a worried smile as she dashed upstairs yelling out, "Sam! wait!"
