Alex breaks down emotionally for the second time that day. The realization that Bastiodon is dead for good and that he can't change anything made Alex's emotions erupt.

Alex's Pokemon weren't any better than Alex and they were all starting to have tears welling up in their eyes. Even Crobat and Scizor had tears rolling down their cheeks when they realized that Bastiodon could not be saved.
Mew could see the emotion of Alex and his Pokemon and felt how much they appreciated Bastiodon.
Because of Mew's many powerful Psychic abilities, Mew knew before it met Alex what he wanted from it, and only because of this, Mew allows Alex to enter his home.
But now the emotion of Alex and his Pokemon was much clearer and only now did Mew understand how strong the bond of this group truthfully is.
Mew moved in front of Alex and Alex could hear an emotional voice in his head saying, "Please... don't be sad. Bastiodon is not gone forever and he will come back to life in a new form."
Alex who heard this, reacted as if he was about to drown but then suddenly found a rescue boat just a few meters away from him.
"M-Mew what do you mean? can you tell me?... please."
Mew looked at Alex as if to read his mind and Alex could hear a voice in his head again, "If you don't tell anyone I can tell you."
Alex nodded without hesitation and Mew immediately seemed to believe Alex as it explained what it meant by that.
"Any Human or Pokemon that dies will reappear in a new form in this world. That is the will of Arceus."
Alex, hearing this, gave a puzzled expression as he asked for further explanation, "What do you mean by a new shape?"
Mew patiently explained, "Almost always... a human or pokemon after its death will be reincarnated in the form of its exact species. Though they lose all their memory from their last life those pokemon or humans are still the same individuals."
Alex hearing that didn't know for a moment how to feel. He was glad that Bastiodon could live on in a different way and wasn't gone forever, but he couldn't help but feel that "his Bastiodon" was still dead.
Without his memory or body, is Bastiodon truly the same Bastiodon Alex knew?
Mew noticed that Alex's mood wasn't improving and it moved in front of Alex. Mew then touched Alex's head with its small hands.
Alex was extremely surprised by what Mew is doing and he only understood after realizing how his psychic energy, capacity, quality, and potential were suddenly improved many times over.
Although Alex is a psychic, he is only a class 3 psychic and not ridiculously strong due to his mediocre talent. Even if he used his mediocre talent extremely effectively he was nothing special and at maximum would be as strong as a weak class 4 psychic in a fight.
But after getting "Mew's blessing", Alex was almost 10 times better in terms of Psychic-energy capacity and a lot better in terms of Psychic-energy quality and potential.

Mew responded in a calm tone, "That's just the title and you have no real responsibilities. You can do whatever you want with this power I've given you and I won't tell you what to do."
Alex gave a puzzled expression when he heard that. He couldn't understand what Mew wanted to achieve with this.
Mew then showed a cute little smile.
"But I believe that if the world is in danger, you will become the real protector of this world one way or the other. You have the potential to be the strongest human of all time and I don't think you will just stand by when humanity is in real danger. "
