Alex is already used to the direct nature of wild Pokemon and Pokemon themselves, so he just agreed with a calm tone.
He didn't know what Marco's mission is so that every minute he wastes is a minute that can cost him his victory.

Alex couldn't look at all pokemon's information so he focused on Marco's pokemon (the pokemon that are next to him) and look at the other pokemon only after looking at all of Marco's pokemon.
Marco looked at Alex with an indifferent expression as he started running away. (he is on the back of Gyarados)
His three subordinates stay and attack Alex's subordinates' Pokemon.
It was an indirect gesture that Marco wants to fight alone with Alex somewhere else.
Alex had seen all of Marco's Pokemon information and he knew his Pokemon team is stronger. and that's without the buff Alex used before to make his Pokemon even stronger.
Even if this is a trap set by Marco, he followed him deeper into the forest.
