Chapter 379: Pokemon master of tactics: Chapter 379

Alex wasted no more time and opened his envelope.

Mission task: Catch and deliver 3 Champion level Pokemon from the island to Lucas Wyatt.

'is that a joke? How the f*ck is anyone supposed to do that?'

Alex's highest-level Pokemon is only level 55.

Just the difference between a 55 and a 59 Pokemon is ridiculously high, not to mention a level 60 Pokemon to a Level 55 Pokemon.

Even if Pokemon in the Wildness are weaker than the pokemon from Trainers, the difference isn't that outlandish.

Alex is even certain that a level 60 Pokemon can one-shots each of his Pokemon with a regular-strong master-rank move.

Defeating even one Champion-level Pokemon should be extremely difficult and dangerous for Alex, Marco, and Janine's Teams. Not to mention 3 Champion-level Pokemon.

This mission task is a joke.

While Alex has the Mega Evolution that allows him to briefly boost Scizor to a level 60 Pokemon, he didn't plan to do even one Mega Evolution on this island.

This island is completely occupied by Team rocket and Alex would not be surprised if it is at least partially monitored.

He's totally screwed if he's unlucky and gets caught by Team Rocket doing a Mega-evolution.

Alex would rather lose this test than utilize a Mega Evolution on this island.

Now that no one knows how useful Keys and Mega-Stones are, Alex can easily collect as many of those stones as possible.

If Alex is smart, he'll be one of the richest people in the Pokemon world once everyone understands the value of Mega and Keystones.

Of course, at this point he needs at least Champion level strength or this wealth will destroy him.

To be so rich without having enough strength or background is a sin in every world.

Even if the Pokemon world has better morals than Alex's old world, the moral disparity isn't all that significant. Alex could make arguments either way.

No matter what, Alex isn't willing to mega-evolve here just to win this test.

The benefits aren't great enough for Alex to be willing to do this.

Without the mega-evolution, his mission task is impossible to complete, so now, he must defeat the other two participants to win this test.

Alex looked at his team as he stopped thinking. He says after a moment, "Our mission task is impossible to complete so our new goal is to defeat the other two competitors."

Alex continued, "Also, I have two more bad news... With a high probability, not only will Marco and Janine's team work together to defeat us first, but they will also have easier mission tasks than we have. They probably even know which mission task we have to fulfill to win.

Daniel, Maria, and Elise all gave a rather dissatisfied expression upon hearing this.

Nobody knew exactly how strong the teams of the other two participants are. Fighting against a team is full of risks, let alone two teams.

Not to mention that the mission tasks are probably easier and that Alex's team has no idea what the win condition of the two teams' mission tasks are.

Maria said, "It's easier said than done. We don't have enough information."

Daniel agreed, "Yeah, we frankly have too little. What makes it worse is that we're not even allowed to attack them for the first hour."

Else said, "Boss, how do you even know that? Is this information really reliable?"

Alex replied, "No, not 100% reliable. That's just my own guess. Although I'm pretty sure that this guess is correct. Maybe 70 to 80%."

Daniel, Maria, and Elise said nothing for a few moments.

Maria was the one who broke the silence, "Alex, how exactly do you calculate the odds?"

Alex showed an annoyed expression as he replied, "Do we really have time for that now?"

Maria, Daniel, and Elise looked at Alex without a word.

Alex's eyes started to twitch as he said, "You guys are so stupid. I thought it was clear that with these percentage numbers I wanted to show how confident I was that the information was correct. I didn't actually calculate it."

Daniel and Elise didn't say for a moment as they stared at Alex, speechless.

The two only had one thought, 'Boss is such a weirdo/unorthodox person.'

Maria, who had already spent more time with Alex, wasn't that surprised. She just said coldly, "Alex, you could have just said you're very sure like any normal person would and not use those weird numbers."

Alex who heard that was a bit surprised. ' Is that really that weird? don't people in this world use that as often as in my old world?'

He looked at Daniel and Elise's faces and could sufficiently understand what they were thinking about him.

Alex showed an emotionless expression when he saw the looks of Elise and Daniel. Although he thought something completely different.

'F*ck, these two are really acting like they're not abnormal. Especially Daniel. That bastard is definitely worse than me.'

Alex continued to look at his team with an emotionless expression as he said, "Let's stop wasting time and think of a plan. I'm open to suggestions."

Despite having the nickname Master of tactics, Alex didn't actually believe that he was a tactical genius.

compared to other humans in this world maybe. but definitely not compared to humans in Alex's old world. He's definitely better than your average human in his old world. but that doesn't really mean much.

Humans are stupid and of course, average human beings are stupid too.

The old world of Alex has incredibly knowledge regarding tactics and it is extremely easy to become a tactical master with time.

Alex hasn't read enough tactics books to actually do better than some humans in Alex's old world.

Fortunately, Pokemon fights are almost completely different from the fights in Alex's old world, so even an actual tactical master of Alex's old world couldn't necessarily fight better in this world than Alex.

But in situations like this where Alex's team has to defeat two other teams, more tactical knowledge would be very useful.

Alex hopes that his team members might have some good ideas.

Elise, Maria, and Daniel just looked at Alex with a look like, 'Aren't you the tactical mastermind? why are you asking us?'

Nobody said anything.

Alex's hope started to dwindle by the second with no one saying anything.
