Chapter 372: Pokemon master of tactics: Chapter 372
Saffron City is a sprawling metropolis in the Kanto region. It lies in between Celadon City, Vermilion City, Lavender Town, and Cerulean City. It is home to Sabrina, the city's Gym Leader. It is the largest and one of the busiest cities in Kanto, being famous even in other regions. It is the tenth most populous city in the Pokémon world and one of the only cities in Kanto.
In this big city, Alex, Maria, Daniel, and Elise are sitting in a waiting room.
Silph Company has three different entrances/exits. Two secret and one "normal".
Alex and his three subordinates enter this building through one of the two secret entrances. Now they wait in a waiting room for Giovanni to call them.
As they were waiting, Marco abruptly entered the room with three of his subordinates.
Alex looked at Marco and his three subordinates for a few seconds before looking elsewhere.
Marco does this himself for Alex and his three subordinates as he watches them for a few seconds. But he shows a little smile during this process.
'Why is that bastard smiling?' thought Alex when he noticed that.
He didn't know why but for him seemed this smile like Marco found something amusing about him.
'Maybe, I'm also a bit too sensitive and that smile has nothing to do with me. Anyway, there's no point getting irate about it now.' thought Alex when he stopped thinking about it.
After a few minutes, Janine came into the waiting room. But unlike Alex and Marco, she only had 1 subordinate.
Although Janine only had one subordinate, Alex didn't underestimate her and her subordinate.
Alex was sure that Janine could easily find two other subordinates at the elite level if she wanted, but that she just doesn't want weak subordinates.
He could understand that a little bit.
If you can't find a subordinate that has at least one Pokemon at level 50, is that subordinate not much help in this test.
Even on Alex's team, Elise is pretty much useless and Alex only put her on his team to gain experience and because he wants to use her later in Hoenn.
Judging by Elise's Pokemon team strength alone, she is not very useful in Alex's team.
Her whole team together is even weaker than Ditto. Alex's weakest Pokemon.
Though Alex saw Elise as an investment that would come in handy later in Hoenn so that her strength is not particularly important now. Her potential was more important to Alex.
Because of the under-18-year limit, it is almost impossible that one of the subordinates is even remotely as strong as Alex, Marco or Janine.
But Alex thought it possible that they had similar strengths to Daniel or even Maria at best.
Orm unexpectedly came into the room along with two of his Pokemon.
Alex showed a slightly surprised expression when he saw another member of the [Three Beasts].
Orm is the only member of the Three Beasts who was actually loyal to Giovanni and the only member Alex barely remembers.
Alex thought with a thoughtful expression, 'I wonder if Carr's betrayal happened in this world too.'
He then looked closely at the muscular man.
Orm is a very large, muscular man, who has short, slicked-down black hair. He wears a black shirt and an opened black-outlined jacket that has the Team Rocket logo etched onto his left chest part. He also wears gray pants and black boots. His head is large and squarish, with a high forehead. Notably, Orm's eyes are almost closed.
He looked extremely weird to Alex.
Alex stopped looking at Orm and he looked at the two Pokemon Orm followed.
There was a Shuckle hanging around Orm's neck and a Jumpluff flying behind Orm.

Alex looked at these two Pokemon but he showed a relaxed expression. Although these two Pokemon aren't weak, Alex's Pokemon were stronger and he didn't need to be afraid of Orm's Pokemon Team.
'I've come really far. I remember a year ago the Pokemon at this level seemed ridiculously strong to me. and now I only have this feeling for Champion-level Pokemon.'
Orm said in a dry tone, "Your subordinates are waiting here and you three...follow me."
Alex, Marco, and Janine followed Orm without saying a word.
These three are no weaker than Orm and see no reason to be particularly respectful toward him.
After less than 3 minutes, the group arrived in front of a large door. Orm, who had led them there, said goodbye with the words, "I'll be going then."
Alex hesitated for a second and knocked on the door they were standing in front of.
Although he had met Giovanni before, Alex couldn't help but get a little nervous when he got to his door.
After hearing the words, "Come in," Alex opened the door.
Alex, Marco, and Janine entered the large office almost simultaneously and saw Giovanni sitting quietly on his chair, caring for his Persian.
