Janine showed a suspicious expression as she said, "A deal? is that a joke?"
Marco showed a serious expression as he replied, "Wait till you hear what I'm offering before you make fun of it."
He glimpsed at Janine's eyes as he said, "I'll help you win the test and win the position in Hoenn."
Janine showed a surprised expression as she said, "What... that's a lie. Why would you do that? what do you gain from it?"
Marco started to smile as he replied, "Happiness? Satisfaction? Pleasure? These are the emotions I would feel if you won this test instead of Alex."
Janine showed a confused expression. She couldn't understand why Marco would be so happy if Alex didn't win this test.
She asks with a confused expression, "Is it for revenge? Has Alex done anything bad to you?"
Marco said with a careless expression, "No. Me and Alex don't have any hatred."
Janine got even more confused than she was before, "W-What... But.."
Marco said with an annoyed expression, "But that doesn't change the fact that I despise Alex's talent and it wouldn't give me great pleasure to see him fall to the ground and crawl onto the ground like a worm."

After only Marco's screams could be heard in this room, this room became completely silent again. Nobody said a word.
Marco started to calm down a bit after saying that.
He said in an almost soft tone, "I hate that monster named Alex. You know... There was a time when I thought I was a talented trainer."
Marco looked at Janine as he said, "You, me, and even your father are just normal geniuses."

He looked at Janine with a smile as he said, "You're pretty lucky. Even if you just get the help of a jealous kid."
Janine and Marco talked for a few more minutes before Janine left the room with an apathetic expression.
Leeroy, who hadn't said anything the whole time, started to sit down next to Marco as he said softly, "Okay, she's gone."
Marco showed an unemotional expression when he said, "Good."
Leeroy then asked with a smile, "That was a lie, wasn't it?"
Marco said in a soft tone, "depends on what you mean"
"If you mean when I said that I'm going to help her win the test then yeah that's a lie."
"But you things I said about Alex are pretty much true."
Leeroy showed a surprised expression upon hearing this.
Marco revealed a smile when he saw that, "What are you so surprised about? I'm only human too. It's not easy not to feel anything when you're so much worse than others even though you work so hard and long."
After a short break he continues, "But that's exactly why Janine believed my lie."
Leeroy said in an approving tone, "Because your jealousy really exists."
"Boss, your talent for lying is really impressive."
Marco showed an annoyed expression when he heard that. He looked coldly at Leeroy with his eagle-like eyes.
