“Wait! You really don’t have to do this! You can let them go since they are still your family!”

Leona was the one that shouted this! She didn’t know why Han was allowing this boy to just do whatever he wanted like this! This isn’t how you are supposed to handle it! She also had a shitty family, but she can never think of ending their lives!

But it was like Gregory didn’t even hear what she said! Gregory pulled his sword back and his sister screamed as he took off three heads in one Slash! The duke and duchess looked away from it because they were not used to seeing such a bloody scene. They couldn’t believe that the royal family was over.

Dorea and Fey were still floating in the sky and Fey grimaced as she saw the scene in front of her. What kind of hatred can make someone go this far? Leona felt her entire body go weak and her hands fall to her side. There was nothing she could do for this boy from the start. He was already too far gone.

Han was the only one who wasn’t even interested in looking at the dead bodies. He was using Appraisal to look at Gregory’s stats instead!

Name – Gregory Magicus

Level – 41

Strength – 610

Stamina – 400

Agility – 390

Intelligence – 190

Free Points – 200

Skills – [Dark Shadow – 160] [Dark Sword – 50] [Bloodlust – 150] [AntiMagic Body – 110] [Destructive Blast – 90] [Poisonous Blood – 105] [Grim Reaper – 150] [Eyes of Horos – 100] [Analyse – 90] [Flight – 160] [Danger Sense – 70]

A gold mine. This boy is a gold mine! His stats doubled! He can get these many attributes just from killing these weak people!? What sort of things would he get if he killed something in the Temple!?

Han immediately knew that he needed this boy. Gregory was weak right now, but if he were to be nurtured then he could become one of the best in the Temple! But Han wondered if Gregory would even agree to it. Han didn’t think forcing the boy would be the right thing to do at all. It would be better if he came on his own.

A sword dropped at Han’s feet and Han looked at Gregory who was standing in front of him. Gregory had his head bowed and Han knew exactly what was wrong. He was empty. The boy finally achieved what he wanted to so there was nothing left for him now. It would be bad if he went to the Temple like this.

“Are you finished? Don’t tell me that this is the end for you. You took revenge against your family, and you have such a defeated look on your face? Is this not the same as saying they defeated you instead?”

Gregory didn’t say anything in response and Han sighed.

“I am a little disappointed. But I suppose I can’t expect too much from a sixteen-year-old. Come on, let’s go to the Temple. If you cannot find purpose, then follow me till you are satisfied. You want to know how I got my power, don’t you? You want to be strong?”

That last sentence put a small light in Gregory’s eyes. The prospect of gaining more power was exciting to him! He already knew what would happen to him in this world if he was weak, so he wanted more power! He nodded to Han in agreement and Han smiled back.

…….

Back at the Temple, the girls were busy taking care of things while Han was away. It was no longer news among the silver and gold Stars that Han was the leader of the Trinata and Rivera guild. They all recognized that he was very strong to be able to control these two guilds alone. But there was one problem with this popularity, and it was that people always kept an eye on the restaurant. There was always one or two people watching the restaurant and the girls like they were some kind of spectacle.

These people were never harmful and so the girls never bothered trying to stop them.

But then there was a certain group that started to watch the restaurant once Han left. Surprisingly, the first person to notice was Yuuma. It was surprising because it isn’t normal for Yuuma to not be drunk. If she isn’t seen with a drink in her hand, then she isn’t Yuuma! But that day, Yuuma was surprisingly sober, and she pointed out to Rin and Yue that some men have been staking out the restaurant for some time.

Rin was concerned and she immediately wanted to catch them and find out what they were doing, but Yuuma told her to hold back. They didn’t know how strong the men were and they also didn’t know how many there are. It will be wise to first find out more.

The next person who noticed it was Miss Kim. It was so easy for her to notice something suspicious. It was just something that came naturally to her since she was used to dealing with shitty customers. Some men always came to the restaurant at random intervals every day. The men tried their best to make it look like they were normal customers, but Kim was able to easily tell that they were anything but normal! They might be coming here randomly, but they always sat in the same spot that gave them a good view of the rest of the restaurant. They never faced their back to the door, and if this wasn’t suspicious enough, they were gold Stars.

Kim wouldn’t say she knew all the gold Stars in the Temple, but Han told her that he was the leader of two of the five major guilds in this Temple. Those five guilds control all the gold Stars. Those men couldn’t be from the two top guilds since those guilds were always on the fiftieth floor, and the men wouldn’t be from Trinata or Rivera since those two guilds were under Han, and she knew all the gold Stars from them.

Then where did they come from? Were they chosen without guilds? Kim thought that it wasn’t much of a problem at first, all these things were just issues that she noticed without really meaning to, so she didn’t suspect anything. But she decided to tell Lily about what she noticed, and Lily was immediately suspicious. Lily learned from her time with Han that she should never overlook these sorts of things. Something that could be a small problem could turn out to be something big!

In truth, Lily was right. The people who have been coming to the restaurant all this while were free mercenaries hired by the remnants of the Alcatraz guild. They were people that still held a grudge against Han for what he did to them, so they were waiting for the perfect opportunity to try and attack the restaurant.

They haven’t seen Han in the restaurant for close to two days now. They couldn’t be too sure about where Han went to, but would another chance like this come again? Would it not be best to attack this restaurant and kill these girls while that monster is away? It would be the perfect revenge against him!

There are five of them who form the mercenary group and they finally figured out that the best time to attack the restaurant would be in the evening when the customers have dwindled down to almost nothing. The representatives from the Trinata and Rivera guilds would have also left so they would be able to do whatever they want!

That evening was just like all the others for the girls. They finished work and they were packing up and cleaning up. Yuuma was at the bar drinking while Rina was mixing a drink for the alcoholic woman behind the counter. Then all of a sudden Yuuma rose her hand and the other girls paused in what they were doing. The sound of footsteps echoed from above the house and Yuuma rose her glass!

“It seems we have guests. Leave it to the men to come at the exact moment when we are absolutely defenseless!”

Lily rolled her eyes at Yuuma and Rin perked up. Her ears picked up rapid footsteps on their roof. So they were close already. Maybe two minutes before they arrive?

Rina and Kim quickly moved to the top floor to wait out whatever was going to happen. Once they were gone, the entire atmosphere changed! It was no longer like a regular setting now and the girls were all looking toward the roof with narrowed eyes.

“How many?”

Rin asked to Yue while taking out the gloves Han gave her from behind her

“Five of them. Oh, make it six, there’s another one.”

Rin nodded to Lily and watched her walk up the stairs. Rin’s gloves used to be two halves of a sword, but they changed to gloves once she received them. It is meant to change into the best weapon for whoever uses it according to what Han told her. Rin didn’t know what it could do since she just received it, and she really didn’t understand everything about how it worked, but she still loved it since Han was the one who gave it to her. Once the gloves clicked into place there was a great crash from the side as the window suddenly burst open!

Crash!!
