But the leader realized that this death could work in his favor. The leader had been thinking of a way to tell his people that they are going to war again. They have already gone to war three times with the Alcatraz guild and it always ends in a stalemate because they were on equal grounds in power. At least the Alcatraz guild made it look that way. He couldn’t just tell them to go to war again without either a serious enough motive or a good plan.

The death of Roland was more than a good enough motive! He hated to do this, but he just had to! If he didn’t allow the Alcatraz guild to kill some of them, then this matter will not end!

“Fey, Ragnar! Prepare for war. The Alcatraz guild has gone too far this time! We can’t let them get away with this!”

Both Fey and Ragnar nodded with intense looks on their faces. They wanted to avenge those people too by getting rid of the Alcatraz guild once and for all. They didn’t know anything about how strong the Alcatraz guild really was and they thought their forces would be enough to fight against them. They didn’t know that they were just fools that were blindly following their leader!

Once the two of them left the room to tell the rest of the troops, the leader leaned on the table and sighed into his palms. He felt like a fraud and a liar! He was sacrificing so many people just to save a few. Was it worth it? The Alcatraz guild has only been quiet all this time because of the sacrifices that the small guilds have been making to them. The big guilds on higher floors wouldn’t even bother listening to the pleas for help, so they were all on their own. What else could he do?

He had to do this to ensure there wasn’t too much bloodshed!

“It’s for the greater good. I’m not wrong to want to protect my family and everyone else on the lower floors”

“Oh, really?”

The leader jolted and turned around sharply as a smooth voice got through to him! He put his hand on his sword and looked around! Where did that voice come from!?

The shadow behind the wall shifted and grew till Han appeared out of thin air.

[Presence Concealment] has been deactivated.

The leader felt his hands waver. Such skill! The leader had a very high detection skill and he was still not able to even notice this man that was hiding behind the pillar! Is he a ninja? No, maybe someone from the higher floors!? Did they finally send help!?

Han could see the expression of hope on the man’s face and he killed it before it could grow.

“I’m not here to offer you help”

The man’s face changed to despair before he closed his eyes and looked away. So even the higher guilds have turned their backs on them. It was expected since these lower floors were nothing to them. The leader had just hoped that he would see someone good for once. Someone that would save them without thinking too much about it.

Han walked deeper into the room and walked around the table the leader was standing at. There was a map of the entire thirtieth floor on the table and he saw that the entire forest area has been painted red to show that it was the base of the Alcatraz guild.

“If you’re not here to help me, then what are you here for? Is this some sort of investigation? There is nothing to see here so please leave,”

Han shook his head. This idiot didn’t know how to seize an opportunity.

“I already know that you want to fight Alcatraz, you don’t need to tell me about that”

The leader exclaimed in shock! If Han knew all these things then why wasn’t he helping them! Han could help them if he was this strong! The leader didn’t know exactly how strong Han was. But for Han to be able to hide from him, Han had to be very strong!

Han knew that from this moment, things were going to get tricky. He didn’t need to use fear here, not against someone that has been feeling fear all his life in this Temple. It would only lead to resentment and hatred, and Han didn’t need that kind of effect right now. Instead, he needed reverence. He needed to be seen as something beyond this scope of reality.

Han’s first plan was actually different from this one. the whole issue with the three guilds on this floor was something that he didn’t see coming at all, but he would make it work in his favor. it was all for the greater good after all.

“I heard that you’re going to fight Alcatraz with only your forces and those from the Rivera guild. Tell me, why do you think you’ll win? Do you think that your forces are enough to match up against eight gold Stars? Or is it just wishful thinking?”

The leader grew weary of Han immediately. It seems Han knew more than he first said he did. Did this man know about the deal they struck with Alcatraz? No, for him to know that then he will have to be in that meeting as well. Don’t tell me that this man also fooled all those gold Stars with his stealth!!

“W-What sort of proposition are you talking about? If it is not useful then don’t waste my time. You already know we’re going to fight soon. I need to prepare the troops”

The leader tried to take the upper hand in this negotiation. He didn’t know what sort of thing Han would say, but it would be good if he can get a good deal where his guild would survive, but the next thing that Han said completely floored him!

“I’ll deal with the Alcatraz guild. Alone”

The leader took a step back in shock before he grew enraged! What kind of joke was this man playing!?

“If it was so easy for anyone to handle the Alcatraz guild, then it would have already been done! Don’t come here and start lying about something so stupid! Just get out if you’re only going to play like this!”

The leader turned away from Han, but he stopped when he heard Han laugh. Han suddenly appeared in front of him and looked over him like a demon.

“You think I’m playing. Do you think you can bet your soul on that? Is my bluff not the only chance you have now? What do you have to lose? Or would you prefer to be under the Alcatraz guild all your life? All you have to do is agree to this deal”

The leader took a step away in fear. Han really looked like a demon trying to buy his soul at that moment. He couldn’t deny that Han was right, what did he have to lose now? He was already going into an unwinnable war. Would it not be a good thing if this man turned out to be the real deal?

But it didn’t look like it would come cheap. The leader could already tell that if he made this deal he would be putting himself at the mercy of an even bigger demon than Alcatraz themselves!

“And this help, what exactly do you want in exchange for it? Y-You don’t want sacrifices too, do you? Are you just like Alcatraz?”

The leader wasn’t going to allow himself to fall prey to another person like those from Alcatraz. He already did something stupid once by settling on this floor, he would never allow his guild to be trapped under other monsters that constantly killed them like cattle.

Han smiled while waving his hand and walking back to the table. he knows that the leader was a twisted person as well and he found it funny that someone like him would call Han a demon. Was it not the leader that sent members out on missions in that forest just so that the Alcatraz guild would take them? If anyone here was a demon, it was him.

He didn’t need something like that. There were already enough evil people in the world for him to have as sacrifices. The good didn’t need to die for that. Han wanted something more, something that he was sure the leader would try to refuse.

“I want this guild to enter a contract of submission with me”

The leader’s eyes widened and Han waited for the shouting to start. The contract of submission was something that lesser guilds usually entered with larger guilds. This contract was bound by the Celestials themselves and it was a sort of servant bond. The larger guild would protect the smaller guild in exchange for the smaller guild’s services.

The only guilds that have been known to do it were the two top guilds in the Temple along with the Alcatraz guild that did it with Rivera and Trinata. If Trinata tried to make a contract with Han, then the Alcatraz guild would immediately know that they did it and it would lead to even more problems!

“You… Are a mad man. You see that we are in the middle of being used as cattle and you are about to make the situation even worse? Is this your idea of a joke!?”

“I didn’t say you would enter it with me immediately. I said I would end the Alcatraz guild first. You don’t have to do anything if I die, you can continue being cattle and I can go to hell.. But if I win, you will make a contract with me, or I will destroy every single thing on this floor and bury it all in dust and fire. It’s your decision, choose”
